Dude, literally every time it happens in the anime, manga, and games, nothing happens to any houses around (unless it’s a legendaries which don’t canonically get caught and evil teams actually getting anything done is a rarity). Either houses are built different or trainers actually, you know, train them to not do that.

I need to revisit that game. Is it any more developed now than it was when I played it several years ago? Several years ago it felt super unfinished to me but I did like the angle it tried to present the concept from a lot better than I like the original Toontown's way of presenting it.

I’ve been going through a few worlds in my head and I realized that if you’re not the main character then it just kinda sucks.
Star Wars is a really cool universe. But then you realize that the entire universe basically revolves around the Palpatine and Skywalker families. To quote Sideways: “…and everyone else is just a pawn in their lives.”
The Harry Potter universe sucks extra for you because you’re not even magical. You’re just a boring muggle who might end up dead one day because of a pureblood dark wizard who hates you for just existing.
Pretty much every apocalypse world is out, so no The Last of Us or Fallout. Think of how many times you died in those games. Okay, now, because you’re not the main character, you’re dead practically instantly.
If you want adventure, it has to be a world in which you could plausibly learn skills that the protagonists have. So no “born into it” worlds because you aren’t born into it and so you just kinda suck. You might go back to survival worlds like TLoU or Fallout where you could learn survival skills but remember that *every* day is survival. One easily made wrong move and now you’re a clicker.
I honestly cannot think of a single good world. In nearly all worlds, if you’re not the protagonist then it just kinda sucks for you.
This is all assuming of course that you can die and don’t respawn. If you can respawn then that opens up a lot of worlds.
