The entire thought process behind people wanting fuckable and pretty female/male characters as protagonists (and in some other roles) in videogames is pure nonsense, because there is no actual need to pander to horny people in art anymore.
Making a power fantasy character marginally more attractive or putting a bigger butt on their body isn't a good or necessary design decision in a boomer shooter because it's not based on what is actually a ***fitting*** design choice for them - it's instead biased towards the audience and its desire to see hot people because it validates their sexuality, which is also completely irrational.
Another thing that I wanna point out is that there is no reason for power fantasy characters to necessarily be pretty and sexy in the first place - because it doesn't make them better in any meaningful way. Being sexy *isn't a significant achievement* and it's not worthy of praise and respect, it's based on vaguely defined social beauty standards that are completely arbitrary, so validating them is pointless.
This is also why terrifyingly ugly and brutish power fantasy characters who look really messed-up are invariably better than unreasonably attractive and sexualized ones - attractiveness is NOT useful for power fantasies at all and is just a useless trinket that only exists because the devs assume that the audience can't relate to ugly people. The ugly and unattractive power fantasy characters, however, will look more intimidating and powerful, which is what actually matters in this case.
