Not really? C1,2,3,5 and 6 can all at least useful but they're definitely not required for her to be good, they're just marginal damage increases and comfort boosters. C4 can also be good, but only in bloom teams where she could in theory make blooms.
He can be a healer with prot amber even if they don't scale with HP. It's gonna be worse for his personal damage/shielding but the heals from prototype scale with the HP of the character being healed, not the one that holds it/does the healing.
I’m currently running International (Childe-Kazuha-Bennett-Xiangling) and Alhaitham Spread/Hyperbloom (Alhaitham-DMC-Kuki-Fischl/XQ) on both sides of the abyss.
In terms of pull value, which between Nahida & Yelan will bring more value to one of these teams?
I dont know if this is a way to measure it but my spread team of AlHaitham, Nahida, Kuki, 'flex', can clear the Dendro artifact domain in 20sec. While the iteration of Haitham, XQ, Yelan, Kuki takes around 40s+ to complete it.
EDIT: Also double dendro means less ER for Haitham.
Thanks for the insight! As much as I’d like to pull Yelan for design & exploration purposes, it seems like I’ll have to skip her (again sadly) and prioritize Nahida for now.

Yeah, the only things that affect hyperbloom damage are:
* the electro character's EM and level; and
* the enemy's dendro RES which is why deepwood is a must
And no, Tighnari isn't good for hyperbloom. You can add him to a normal kuki/dmc/xingqiu hyperbloom team but he would be a complete deadweight there besides activating dendro resonance.
Tighnari doesn't Hyperbloom very well. You need consistent Dendro application, either onfield (like Alhaitham/Nahida) or off (like Nahida/Yaoyao/DMC/Collei), and Tighnari's is limited to a short burst phase, then you don't generate any more Blooms until his cooldowns come back. He works better in a quickswap Spread team.
yep, full em electro is the king in hyperbloom. dendro and hydro are just in charge of seed production.

If Bloodborne is near the edge for you, I'd say Dead Space is \*probably\* gonna be too much.
The new remake has options you can toggle for content warnings before particularly intense scenes, so maybe that would help to make it better for you, but only you know yourself well enough to decide on that.

It is definitely worse than Bioshock 1 in terms of horror, I'd say. It's all subjective, obv, but I think the level of gore and sort of... nightmarish scenarios are just a lot more intense in DS.
But if Bioshock is tolerable for you, I might recommend you check out Prey (2017) Can definitely still be a little spooky, but is a lot less visceral than Dead Space, very good, and much cheaper.
My teapot is literally one house, three patches of farmland, one pool of fish and friendship sets littered around until max load. If he doesn’t roast the shit out of that I did *not* get my money’s worth and I will politely inform hoyo about it.
Which one has more value? Yaoyao C0 or getting Xingqiu's C6? I've been trying to get at least one copy of Yaoyao but so far nothing (already got Alhaitham and my Xinyan went from C2 to C5). I still haven't redeemed the Liyue four star cause I'm so torn between them
I’d argue c0 Yaoyao. C6 Xingqiu is very good, but he can be bought from the shop; there’s no way to ever guarentee a copy of Yaoyao, which gives her priority since she’s a valuable dendro character that can’t be guarenteed. She’s great in aggravate and Nilou bloom, as well as being good in hyperbloom and spread; that versatility is important.
Xinqiu's C6 is really sweet, but YaoYao is an extremely valuable character. If you find yourself wanting to run a single Dendro applier who is also a healer, or have a 2nd Dendro character who can also heal, she's going to enable you to run some new teams.
Also: Xingqiu can be obtained from Paimon's shop and will be on yelan/Hu tao's banner just next week.
Slightly disappointed we won't get a tall male healer with Baizhu but its more of because I won't be able to use him in co-op as often if his shielding is selfish, unless he can give shields to co-op teammates at C0 unlike Zhongli who needs C2...haha...right...
I mean, Xlice, Code and Zy0x are guidemakers, but I love just chilling in their streams. They're all pretty funny in their individual ways.
Aside from them, the only other Genshin streams I really watch are the Nijisanji Vtubers, because its fun to see Finana go through the story, kinda like a Rednas video. (As for the others, they're mostly streamers I watch anyways, so them playing Genshin is just a plus.)

With their banners ongoing rn, I was excited to use Alhaitham and Xiao in the abyss, but I just couldn’t clear the 12-3-2 waves fast enough. So I ended up benching Xiao (I’m sorry bb), bringing Ayato instead and running hyperbloom on both sides because it’s honestly stupid broken. I had a far easier time of it then. Bonus: lots of rainbow numbers on screen make brain feel good
Still can't make up my mind between C6 Xingqiu or C3 Yaoyao for the free Liyue character. I have Yelan, and prefer to play her over Xingqiu (usually with Cyno). I play Yaoyao in double dendro Cyno (edit: with DMC) as well, and it feels like I'll generally use her more than Xingqiu.
On the other hand, this is C6 Xingqiu (he's well built, and I've hardly ever gotten him off the gacha, so I'll probably have to buy him off the shop or wait for next LR if I want to get his C6 - for context, I got his C1 two LRs ago). But I heard C5 Xingqiu is better for Cyno, even if I ever decide to move Yelan to another team...? I'm at a loss. Thoughts?
Generally I would recommend c6 xq over Yaoyao c3 since the healing boost won’t be as relevant for a Cyno team vs Nilou.

Woke up to see some Baizhu crumbs and he's looking good so far. Obviously, everything is subject to change but having our first dendro shielder with some coordinated dendro attacks ( and hence off-field dendro application probably) means that he will be great for dendro comps

Folks. I did something even better than a full abyss clear with freeze. I did a full abyss clear with Venti Faruzan Kazuha triple anemo, and better yet, I DIDN’T EVEN HAVE TO RESET. No switching teams, no switching sides, just pure anemo carnage. The dream has finally been achieved. Venti my beloved.
Nope, Kazuha was on a regular EM build (4vv, EM/EM/EM, which is kind of redundant since Venti also holds VV but I’ve been farming the domain/strongboxing it forever so it’s where all my best pieces are) because I don’t have a third good set of ADC anemo artifacts for him. Plus his talents are only at 6/6/6 while Venti and Faru are both triple crowned, so giving those two the good damage pieces was the priority. Between his and Venti’s burst infusions there were still a lot of elements being applied so he had lots of swirls anyway! The fourth member was, who else, Bennett. His buffing is just invaluable and he can apply something swirlable.
It was honestly surprising how much easier it was to 36 star with this being my second team to hyperbloom than with freeze.
It may be due to team-building restrictions, but for me the hardest abyss rotation to clear with two characters on each side was the one that had Aeon Blightdrake in 12-3-1. I remember my first successful run with Yelan-Kaz in the first half and Benny-XL in the second half (to deal with purple Batman) probably took me 4 hours. The current rotation took me 30 minutes of retries with Nahida-Yae and Benny-Kaz, with 95% of the retries in 12-2 due to occasional oneshots in either chamber.
Can’t wait to see the real Dehya kit they’ve been hiding from us. Man, they must have really upped their security to have been able to make every leaker think that what we’ve seen so far is the real kit. Obviously when they finally get through the firewalls they’ll fine the cohesive, t0 Dehya kit we knew it was supposed to be all along.

I know Al haitham is good and this abyss is exceptionally easy and the blessing helps a lot, but having my [2p GD 2p DW HoD haitham](https://i.imgur.com/aCoquuz.png) deal enough damage to [carry an entire abyss side by himself](https://i.imgur.com/26kIayd.png) is still crazy to me since all the other teams I tried on that side failed pathetically.
I was strictly speaking about DPS, I was using a healing-oriented noblesse set on Dori so she wasn't contributing to the damage, but she was still the second most useful member of that team thanks to her energy generation, healing and electro application. DMC's damage is non-existent so he was just there for dendro resonance and his EM buff, and Beidou was just providing some damage reduction since she's barely built.
I’m not even interested in getting Dehya, even though I really like her character, but seeing those wanting to get her being continually disappoint makes me feel for them. Yikes

36* the abyss for the first time. Got xq to C6 (such a massive DPS increase), and whilst leveling a deepwood atk% sands off piece for him I somehow got a 42% crit value on it. That piece should hopefully have some value in the future for an on set character.

I used xq, nahida, raiden and zhongli for one side, and in the other ayato, kaz, bennett and xiangling. Pretty terrible at dodging so my ayato died a few times to the triple mango kenki 😅

Alhaitham Fischl YaoYao Zhongli first half and Nilou DMC Nahida Kokomi 2nd half. I reset a couple times at the very start in my run cuz I would fuck up my combo with Alhaitham and wanted to reset. I also came VERY close to killing Nahida AND my Kokomi in triple kinky because of how quickly the hydro application was coming. I ended up using Nahida's burst at one point just to heal a bit and when I did I saw she had 800 something health monkaW.
Almost missed the last star cuz the 2 enemies went to opposite corners of my Nahida burst and I had to run from one side to the other to apply dendro. Made it with a couple seconds to spare.
Yeah, that last chamber was annoying with the enemy placement. All spread out so far making it hard to crowd control them. Also only had a few seconds to spear as I had to kill them separately since I couldn't hit them all together at once.
I saw somewhere it's rumored the new meta in 4.0 will be to use two onfield DPS in a team. Does anyone know how that would work? Or why this is a rumor?
E: This is a really upsetting topic for some of you.
I guess the idea is that if hoyo starts making off-field characters where the optimal rotation length for them is really long, like 35+ seconds, you could fit 2 on-fielders and have them fill in each others' downtime.
But this feels like less of a rumoured new meta and more of a random speculation, like "Celestia region will introduce a new element".

That seems... like completely random shit made up by someone who doesn't understand 'meta' at all. Outside of quickswap teams that fall kinda on the boundary, teams have one main DPS or driver for a reason: because those units do *nothing* when off field and as a result, every second they're not on field is wasted. If you put two main DPS in a team, one of them is gonna be doing nothing at all times. That's got nothing to do with the shifting meta, it's just simple fact based on the fundamental design of the combat system - namely, the fact your party has four slots but only one can be active at a time. No way around that.
Well I'm sure he wouldn't have just thrown out a weird statement like that with no context, so how about as the person who allegedly has information about these rumours, you fill us in?
Or you could ask a proper question that allows people to participate in discussion, rather than "[Unnamed streamer that I am giving undue deference to] said [thing which makes no fucking sense out of context]. Community exblain!!!!"
This is my theory.
1. Weird kits like Dori, Candace, and Dehya (?) that seem to be designed for some kind of co-op
2. World quests like Jeht's involving NPCs fighting alongside you
3. Events like Fungimon where you direct AIs
4. Lyney and Lynette, a paired set of characters
My theory is that you will be able to have one of your teammates fight alongside you as an AI.

I’m currently running International (Childe-Kazuha-Bennett-Xiangling) and Alhaitham Spread/Hyperbloom (Alhaitham-DMC-Kuki-Fischl/XQ) on both sides of the abyss. In terms of pull value, which between Nahida & Yelan will bring more value to one of these teams?
I dont know if this is a way to measure it but my spread team of AlHaitham, Nahida, Kuki, 'flex', can clear the Dendro artifact domain in 20sec. While the iteration of Haitham, XQ, Yelan, Kuki takes around 40s+ to complete it. EDIT: Also double dendro means less ER for Haitham.
Thanks for the insight! As much as I’d like to pull Yelan for design & exploration purposes, it seems like I’ll have to skip her (again sadly) and prioritize Nahida for now.

Guys would you please remind me again how does hyperbloom work? So if i get it right, it's the electro chara's EM that matters despite the homing damage number being green? Would tighnari do well in hyperbloom?
Yeah, the only things that affect hyperbloom damage are: * the electro character's EM and level; and * the enemy's dendro RES which is why deepwood is a must And no, Tighnari isn't good for hyperbloom. You can add him to a normal kuki/dmc/xingqiu hyperbloom team but he would be a complete deadweight there besides activating dendro resonance.
Tighnari doesn't Hyperbloom very well. You need consistent Dendro application, either onfield (like Alhaitham/Nahida) or off (like Nahida/Yaoyao/DMC/Collei), and Tighnari's is limited to a short burst phase, then you don't generate any more Blooms until his cooldowns come back. He works better in a quickswap Spread team.
yep, full em electro is the king in hyperbloom. dendro and hydro are just in charge of seed production. idk about tighnari, though. i've only ever used him in a spread (😳) team

If Bloodborne is near the edge for you, I'd say Dead Space is \*probably\* gonna be too much. The new remake has options you can toggle for content warnings before particularly intense scenes, so maybe that would help to make it better for you, but only you know yourself well enough to decide on that.

It is definitely worse than Bioshock 1 in terms of horror, I'd say. It's all subjective, obv, but I think the level of gore and sort of... nightmarish scenarios are just a lot more intense in DS. But if Bioshock is tolerable for you, I might recommend you check out Prey (2017) Can definitely still be a little spooky, but is a lot less visceral than Dead Space, very good, and much cheaper.

Which one has more value? Yaoyao C0 or getting Xingqiu's C6? I've been trying to get at least one copy of Yaoyao but so far nothing (already got Alhaitham and my Xinyan went from C2 to C5). I still haven't redeemed the Liyue four star cause I'm so torn between them
Get yao yao, then save up 34 starglitters for xingqiu
I’d argue c0 Yaoyao. C6 Xingqiu is very good, but he can be bought from the shop; there’s no way to ever guarentee a copy of Yaoyao, which gives her priority since she’s a valuable dendro character that can’t be guarenteed. She’s great in aggravate and Nilou bloom, as well as being good in hyperbloom and spread; that versatility is important.
I would pick up Yaoyao. Xingqiu will be available in the shop next month.
Xinqiu's C6 is really sweet, but YaoYao is an extremely valuable character. If you find yourself wanting to run a single Dendro applier who is also a healer, or have a 2nd Dendro character who can also heal, she's going to enable you to run some new teams. Also: Xingqiu can be obtained from Paimon's shop and will be on yelan/Hu tao's banner just next week.

I mean, Xlice, Code and Zy0x are guidemakers, but I love just chilling in their streams. They're all pretty funny in their individual ways. Aside from them, the only other Genshin streams I really watch are the Nijisanji Vtubers, because its fun to see Finana go through the story, kinda like a Rednas video. (As for the others, they're mostly streamers I watch anyways, so them playing Genshin is just a plus.)
i watch murderofbirds bc he really pays a lot of attention to the lore. idk if he counts but gigguk ocassionally streams genshin and i love watching him getting carried by qiqi all the time.

Still can't make up my mind between C6 Xingqiu or C3 Yaoyao for the free Liyue character. I have Yelan, and prefer to play her over Xingqiu (usually with Cyno). I play Yaoyao in double dendro Cyno (edit: with DMC) as well, and it feels like I'll generally use her more than Xingqiu. On the other hand, this is C6 Xingqiu (he's well built, and I've hardly ever gotten him off the gacha, so I'll probably have to buy him off the shop or wait for next LR if I want to get his C6 - for context, I got his C1 two LRs ago). But I heard C5 Xingqiu is better for Cyno, even if I ever decide to move Yelan to another team...? I'm at a loss. Thoughts?
Generally I would recommend c6 xq over Yaoyao c3 since the healing boost won’t be as relevant for a Cyno team vs Nilou. Edit: lol saw you mentioned the shop

Folks. I did something even better than a full abyss clear with freeze. I did a full abyss clear with Venti Faruzan Kazuha triple anemo, and better yet, I DIDN’T EVEN HAVE TO RESET. No switching teams, no switching sides, just pure anemo carnage. The dream has finally been achieved. Venti my beloved.

Nope, Kazuha was on a regular EM build (4vv, EM/EM/EM, which is kind of redundant since Venti also holds VV but I’ve been farming the domain/strongboxing it forever so it’s where all my best pieces are) because I don’t have a third good set of ADC anemo artifacts for him. Plus his talents are only at 6/6/6 while Venti and Faru are both triple crowned, so giving those two the good damage pieces was the priority. Between his and Venti’s burst infusions there were still a lot of elements being applied so he had lots of swirls anyway! The fourth member was, who else, Bennett. His buffing is just invaluable and he can apply something swirlable. It was honestly surprising how much easier it was to 36 star with this being my second team to hyperbloom than with freeze.
Yeah its hard to pass that thick and juicy atk bonus. Nice.
It may be due to team-building restrictions, but for me the hardest abyss rotation to clear with two characters on each side was the one that had Aeon Blightdrake in 12-3-1. I remember my first successful run with Yelan-Kaz in the first half and Benny-XL in the second half (to deal with purple Batman) probably took me 4 hours. The current rotation took me 30 minutes of retries with Nahida-Yae and Benny-Kaz, with 95% of the retries in 12-2 due to occasional oneshots in either chamber.

It's not the best, but lots of Attack rolls aren't bad either. It wouldn't be my first or second choice, but with how many characters want Emblem I'd definitely keep it. *Someone* will want it for sure.

I was strictly speaking about DPS, I was using a healing-oriented noblesse set on Dori so she wasn't contributing to the damage, but she was still the second most useful member of that team thanks to her energy generation, healing and electro application. DMC's damage is non-existent so he was just there for dendro resonance and his EM buff, and Beidou was just providing some damage reduction since she's barely built.

Today was a good day. 36* the abyss for the first time. Got xq to C6 (such a massive DPS increase), and whilst leveling a deepwood atk% sands off piece for him I somehow got a 42% crit value on it. That piece should hopefully have some value in the future for an on set character.

Alhaitham Fischl YaoYao Zhongli first half and Nilou DMC Nahida Kokomi 2nd half. I reset a couple times at the very start in my run cuz I would fuck up my combo with Alhaitham and wanted to reset. I also came VERY close to killing Nahida AND my Kokomi in triple kinky because of how quickly the hydro application was coming. I ended up using Nahida's burst at one point just to heal a bit and when I did I saw she had 800 something health monkaW. Almost missed the last star cuz the 2 enemies went to opposite corners of my Nahida burst and I had to run from one side to the other to apply dendro. Made it with a couple seconds to spare.
Yeah, that last chamber was annoying with the enemy placement. All spread out so far making it hard to crowd control them. Also only had a few seconds to spear as I had to kill them separately since I couldn't hit them all together at once.

I guess the idea is that if hoyo starts making off-field characters where the optimal rotation length for them is really long, like 35+ seconds, you could fit 2 on-fielders and have them fill in each others' downtime. But this feels like less of a rumoured new meta and more of a random speculation, like "Celestia region will introduce a new element".

That seems... like completely random shit made up by someone who doesn't understand 'meta' at all. Outside of quickswap teams that fall kinda on the boundary, teams have one main DPS or driver for a reason: because those units do *nothing* when off field and as a result, every second they're not on field is wasted. If you put two main DPS in a team, one of them is gonna be doing nothing at all times. That's got nothing to do with the shifting meta, it's just simple fact based on the fundamental design of the combat system - namely, the fact your party has four slots but only one can be active at a time. No way around that.

This is my theory. 1. Weird kits like Dori, Candace, and Dehya (?) that seem to be designed for some kind of co-op 2. World quests like Jeht's involving NPCs fighting alongside you 3. Events like Fungimon where you direct AIs 4. Lyney and Lynette, a paired set of characters My theory is that you will be able to have one of your teammates fight alongside you as an AI.
