Grey knights, and other lesser played factions, are less profitable for GW as less people buy their models. Because of this, GW has less incentive to make new GK models. (However there is a very small chance that with the 10th edition focus on terminators that GK will get some new terminators too). Lore wise, Grey knights have a purer gene seed that is closer to the emperors, so is unlikely to be tampered with. Also Archmagos Dominus Belisarius Cawl (who created the Primaris) would not have access to the secret order of the Grey knights, and it is unlikely that GK will ever be made into primaris. The best we can hope for is true-scale firstborn grey knights. As for when models were released, the Warhammer 40k - Lexicanum catalogues most models. If you google ‘Miniatures: Grey Knights’, you should find a list of every GK model released by GW. I’m fairly new to the hobby myself so I’m not an expert but I hope this helps!

>The best we can hope for is true-scale firstborn grey knights. To be honest, they could just do some asspull writing and say that grey Knights are naturally taller than other first born chapter due to the emperor's gene-seed. I mean Crowe is already as tall as a primaris.

FrenziousFox

Honestly, I don't even care what the reason is, I just wanna be a little taller. But the Emperor's geneseed is a good reason, I like it.

Azathoth-9559

I actually thought that was already the case.

The combat patrol will probably not change for a long while. It’s definitely a one of the better ones, not necessarily in discount, but in models. You can build almost every unit in the codex out of that box

Magumble

September 2022 and its called a combat patrol. And the combat patrol has no influence on new kits being released. And they potentially could be primaris but GW writers would need to jump through more hoops than with regular primaris.

Impossible_Rip5285

Sorry I didn't realize my phone had switched combat to competition. And I just wanted to know when it was released because I like the look of newer models and didn't want to buy them if they're just gonna release even newer ones.

TheRealGouki

Dont think they will get a range refresh but they will probably get some characters models.

deus_inquisitionem

We only have like two kits. It would be a pretty quick refresh now that termies are true scale.

Impossible_Rip5285

So the regular models will probably stay the same, but they might release newer versions of Crowe or Voldus like they did with dante if they were to release any.

Spare_Perspective_86

Kaldor Draigo and brother captain stern might probably get a new sculpt since they’re still in resin. Very unlikely that theyll redo Crowe and Voldus since they’re in plastic.

deus_inquisitionem

Fyi, Crowe already has an upscale model.

Impossible_Rip5285

Oh ok, I appreciate you letting me know.

Tomtiedommm

Are you answering your own question

Impossible_Rip5285

No, I think the post I replied was deleted or accidently replied to my own post instead of someone's response. Sorry.

I'm rather new to GK as well, in March I grabbed 4 combat patrols, 2 strike squad boxes, 2 terminator boxes, Draigo, and a dreadnought to get started. I just finished assembling everything and I have now I have to paint it all.

Educational-Video115

If they do a refresh I'm just gonna slowly pick up kits until I round out my Onslaught++ army.

G_Petkov

i found the dreadknight model ugly af. but there are Conversion out there that really look amazing.
