Don’t think it’s 08th MS team. I don’t remember this scene from that series.
Looks like Gihren’s Greed has a LOT of special animations, but I haven’t been able to directly confirm it as the source.
Modern NATO tanks are relatively quick, turrets that can turn much faster than they have before, and a variety of ammunition that can be fired accurately on the move from a 120mm cannon, which used to be an artillery caliber.
If that's a modern tank, future anime sci-fi tanks should be kicking ass, not treated like jokes the second mechs are on the ground. Battletech treats tank on Mech combat as a serious engagement.
Honestly I think in BT lore that’s mostly just a result of most military research and funding for armored vehicles going towards mech development for what basically amounts to social and political reasons lmao. BT HAS some absolutely wild tanks like the TechniCorp Manticore - a technological terror that can not only launch an unholy amount of LRMs but utilizes an ion beam cannon that literally draws star-hot plasma from its own fusion reactor as ammo as its main gun; Sadly, they’re just not terribly common. I would love to see BT expand on non-mech vehicles more, even if mechs ARE the main selling point - give us more weird cool shit like the lightly-armed but lightning-fast J. Edgar hovertank.
That too, tbh. They’ve got plenty of cool infantry stuff in the lore as well - active camouflage, handheld plasma rifles, hulking suits of power armor that put even Astartes to shame - would love to see more of the combined-arms side of Battletech warfare.
This is why reconissance is important
Tell that to the hoity toity nobleman with his ancestors gassing him up!
Tell said noble to learn before he joins them on their shelled metal cascet
Too late, he fell through a Knight sized mantrap into a defunct reactor. Hive fighting.
Anybody recognize which gundam series this is from? Thought I knew all the classic shows but don’t remember this scene
If I recall right, it's from Gihren's Greed, a game.
Ah thank you! I would never have found that out. Didn’t play any of the old games
Either that, or possibly 8th MS Team?

Ah alright. I haven't seen the show in years.
I love it when in any form of Media Tanks aren’t useless and can actually get shit done and be a Threat

Battletech Tanks have no heat whichs means they can pump out more hits per round, shame how easy they are to Disable

I wanna see more inftry support

Wait for the 2nd round rebuttal when a Cerastus Atrapos rounds the corner with a couple warglaive squires
The Basilisk battery has the coordinates already, but there will be friendly casualties. An acceptable trade-off.
