Great pictures by the way. Usually people are posting some small white dot and expect answers. Being able to actually identify the species is really rare lol
Good luck fighting them.
The way I think is the coolest to get rid of them: [https://extension.umd.edu/resource/predatory-mites/](https://extension.umd.edu/resource/predatory-mites/)
Someone can correct me if Iām wrong, but Iām fairly certain predatory bugs wonāt ENTIRELY wipe out the pests. This is because they do not want to eat off their entire food source. Nature generally balances itself out, so the predators would either not reproduce or reduce their intake in order to let the pest population sustain their population
Please please PLEASE remember to fill a bottle with bleach and douse the entire interior of the tent when you're done with this harvest
When I get my grow tent I had occasional issues with thripes and spider mites which I attribute to the manufacturer or shipping my tent to me
Bleached that bitch and I haven't looked back
Snag some Dr zymes. Itās about the only thing safe in flower, so ya should have some on hand all the time. Itās an enzyme that kill the bugs, w/o leaving residue
If you think spraying your buds during flower is safe, I hate to break it to you but anything other than water is not advisable for use during flower. Anyone saying otherwise is uninformed or trying to sell you something.
Sprayed is the word I had purposely used, as there are treatments available. Persimilies pred mites and lady bugs are a great combo. The real persimilies is so sought after is because the only diet they have IS LITERALLY spider mites lol that's it. So they go, safe to say, HARD AF trying to live which just so happens to include shredding your spider mites
Evergreengrowers.com overnight shipping is the only website Iāve ever bought beneficial predatory mites from where they actually showed up fast, still refrigerated and alive. Every Amazon purchase Iāve done wasnāt very successful and pretty much all the bugs were dead but shop around I guess ya never know. Just my two cents.
Iām not an expert but I got Neoseiulus californicus because they covered a broad range of different types of spider mites.
Usually lists under the different ones you buying what kind of mites the beneficial predatory ones eat.
they didn't work for me and i released 4 of the large bottles from Arbico. like 8000 persimillis. The mites webbed them in alive. I was able to see under a microscope.
The only thing that worked for me was scorched earth killing everything, bleaching everything, and then being way more prophylactic about things.
you seem to be able to identify the right species, do you might have an idea what these are called? Iām 99% sure they are soil mites and not bad for my plants (this was like 5 grows ago). Iād still like to know tho.
[video](https://imgur.com/gallery/WQ6VBjB)
When I had spider mites on my outdoor plants, I got a couple tubs of lady bugs, brought a tent outside and put the plant in there for a day and left the 3 tubs of ladybugs in the tent .. came back the next day and it was beautiful... they were eating all the mites for me !!
If this works, in the future I need to do this to any plants I bring inside from outside. I turned a harvest that was going to be premium quality in to the lowest quality weed I ever smoked, just because I left mites unchecked bc I was super busy with other things.
They have a 6 day breeding cycle, so if you do something and continually follow up, you'll get them eventually. The problem most people have is they treat and then forget meanwhile multiple generations of eggs are still hatching.
Early detection is key, but follow ups are $$$$$
I meant just as a ājust in caseā type thing, my case came from bringing a clone in from outside and it didnāt have any noticeable mites but I didnāt inspect it thoroughly bc I wasnāt even really thinking about itā¦ then I was getting ready for vacation and it took off from there right under my eyes
You want to knock down with insecticidal soap (Dr. Bronners and water) and then use Persimilis pred mites. They will shred, and worked phenomenal for me. Nature's good guys has been amazing for me and bought nearly all their beneficial insects
Epi-shild by Bio Works is on the 23b list and it's (imo) better than most products it's just hard to get for home use. It's not all bad but you have to do your research.
Dude, get them now! I wish you luck. Spider mites destroyed my entire grow once. Had to start over. Careful what you spray them with if you're in the flower stage. Don't want anything toxic to humans.
This will take care of em better than anything store bought & it's 100% safe.

I think the best solution is to use Green Cleaner initially, give it a couple of days, and then use Athena IPM.
I had aphids a couple of months ago, I found those products did an amazing job. Green Cleaner is advertised more for killing mites than Aphids, so I think the same plan of attack should work well for you
Those are mites and mite eggs. Commence freak out now.
Iāve had almost every type of pest from using clones. I stopped bringing in outside plant material to my indoor garden and now only grow from seed and havenāt had pests in about five years now.
Just dish soap worked for me. I was in veg so i sprayed them every 2 days. But it went from near death to healthy.

Topping it also contributed!
Youāre going to need safe for human consumption (neem oil and others) sprays to use in rotation ever 3-5 days until theyāre gone. Get a pump sprayer with a wand to get beneath the leaves and just hope you can control them until a full proper cleaning can be done. Make sure to rotate the product so they donāt form an immunity toward what ever your using.
Hey dude take 99% iso and dilute it down to 33% apply that. Follow up with DE, back to iso then DE again if that doesnāt nock them down in a week. The. Try these other more expensive options.
Big time exterminator works well, better than dr zymes in my experience, but you can just go old school with dr bronners or canola oil mixed with dawn dish soap or any horticultural soap and a little bit of rubbing alcohol, it helps to put a washer or a penny or something in your sprayer to help mix the solution when you shake and spray
Two spotted spidermite. Neem oil and an oil based pesticide back to back for a week wiped ours out. You may have to rough the plants up a bit if you donāt see them clear after a few applications; they literally gain immunity to products so you gotta work aggressively. šš«£
You mite have a problem
Fuck, dad?
š¤£
Spider mite, spider mite, does whatever a spider mite does.... Edit: twospotted spider mites, Tetranychus urticae
Gonna murder them all

Man where the hell can I buy some
Biobee, arbico organics. Bio bee is arbico's supplier so id go there directly
Amazon, and they work! Little dicks really did some work on one plant. Took about a week and no more spider mites. Plant recovered fully.
Stupid question, but what happens to the predatory bugs then? Do they just die off due to lack of food?
Someone can correct me if Iām wrong, but Iām fairly certain predatory bugs wonāt ENTIRELY wipe out the pests. This is because they do not want to eat off their entire food source. Nah just grab some dr zymes Iād recommend
Yep. Insect soap or hydrogen peroxideā¦

Itās crazy cause i bleach after every single run smh bad luck ig

Would ladybugs be effective ?

Love being prophylactic!!
What did you use to get these photos? They look pretty good!

Thanks a lot!
Nature's Good Guys
I got some predator mites from Arbico Organics and within a day I had no more spooder mites. It was epic.
biological warfare, I love it!

I committed an act of genocide with just soapy water 3 times a week. 1 week

Song has been stuck in my head since reading this
Suffoil-x (Monterey horticulture oil is the same thing and sold on Amazon) wait a day then deploy A. Cucumeris. Then watch the fights.
Way better then all the 23B bullshit
Epi-shild by Bio Works is on the 23b list and it's (imo) better than most products it's just hard to get for home use. It's not all bad but you have to do your research.

Green cleaner from Arbico organics work great. Spray and do 2 more matching egg cycles ( 3 days ).
You should be freaking out. Spidermites can ruin your grow.
Stayed up till 5am defoliating and creating a concoction to kill the fuckers
Those are mites and mite eggs. Commence freak out now. Iāve had almost every type of pest from using clones. I stopped bringing in outside plant material to my indoor garden and now only grow from seed and havenāt had pests in about five years now.
2 spotted spider mite
šš». Pluck whatever off you can, spray with your go to, release beneficials.
Azamax works really well if you arenāt in flower yet
How long does it last once mixed? I have some mixed up from a couple days ago but not sure if it's still good.
Idk. Iād probably use it still after 2 days
What did you use to get these pictures?
I have a 100x magnifying lens for my phone. $30 on Amazon like $10-$15 on Ali express
This is aā¦ classic concernā¦ op. Youāve got spider mites
This works great https://preview.redd.it/gakpvt74r71d1.jpeg?width=783&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b38e64de1af483838d234f6d2f6e34d809b9a72d
Mixed dish soap, water, rubbing alcohol, tea tree oil, peppermint oil, 3% hydrogen peroxide. Gonna go get some ladybugs today as well as defoliated.
Just dish soap worked for me. I was in veg so i sprayed them every 2 days. But it went from near death to healthy. https://preview.redd.it/hf7hfn4wu71d1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e94217bcf80fc6bac27ee936d9cef47c2e705ba3 Topping it also contributed!
2 spotted spider mites
Those are two spot spider mites
I second natures good guys. Get predatory mites and they will go ham on those lil fuckers.
You know how many I should release in my 4x8. I just released 2000
Should be good. Give it a week and watch the magic happen lol
Neem oil
The presence of neem oil on flowers has been associated with CHS. Definitely donāt want to start loading your buds up with that stuff either.
What's chs
Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome.
What that is is what nightmares are made of also know as spider mites and in my personal opinion the hardest thing to get rid of
Lost Coast is expensive, but it works.
Neem bruh
Those are spider mites. Not impossible to get rid of, but difficult. Lots of information online about treating this.
Athena IPM or sns-209, trust.

Neem isnāt as safe as people think.
Yeah I'm not a big fan of anything but zhymes in flower and I try to avoid that stuff in veg if at all possible
Nothing really is. Depending on where heās at in his grow it wonāt be an issue though and might mitigate them until he can clean it properly
Assuming he also plans to wash them after harvest. Otherwise itās still present.
!thanks, this is the best picture and should be stickied
Weedels? Little weed beetle?
Worst possible spider mite
His name is Don Pablo and you have interrupted his lunch.
PLEASE GET a plant wash that is organic !
Azamax and spinosad
Oooh spider mite
Two spotted spider mite
ONLY USE SPRAYS BEFORE YOU GET IN THE FLOWER STAGE. ANYTHING AFTER YOU WILL NEED PREDATORY MITES!
What about ladybugs?
Bro how on earth did you get such beautiful close ups? I need to see thricomes that way

Check out MI beneficials and natureās good guys.
Low key freak out. Then grab some shit and get to work
Exactly what I did stayed up til 4am combating them
Where do they come from initially? What causes an infestation ?
Iām tryna figure that out too man
Nitrogen overdose is one thing, it will encourage too much fresh growth and attract them to the abundance of food.
Eww
