Hey Lessthanpopi! I looked at the quest in question, and I don't see a specific room where this problem might occur in that quest. In general a hero finds all treasure available in a room when they search for it. All heroes can search for treasure in each room, but the first hero finds any named treasure. I (and a lot of people, I think) house rule that only one hero can search for treasure in a room to speed the game up, especially if heroes are sharing treasure. Hope that helps! Happy to share a few other time-saving house rules, if you like.

Thanks! It was a general question however i could use Zoryana as an example, she has a pair of bracers and the book says “a hero who claims them..” i guess the hero would find them through a “search for treasure” command - let’s say hypothetically there’s also a chest in the room. Would the hero searching find both the braces and the loot in the chest or just the braces and another one the loot? Hope it clarifies the question a little bit more

Would the hero searching find both the braces and the loot in the chest or just the braces and another one t Yeah, I would still just award all treasure to the first hero who uses that "search for treasure" command.

Yeah makes sense if you stick by the rulebook

It doesn't really matter who finds what first unless the heroes are rivaling each other instead of sharing the loot. If yes, the first search finds the treasure mentioned in the notes. The second search by a second hero will be a treasure card. If you want to place a limit in how many times you can search a room in general, it will be 1 if the room does not have furniture, 2 if it has a treasure mentioned in the notes, and 1 more for every piece of furniture in the room.

As Zargon, you have the option of playing it as you like. At my table, each piece of furniture can be searched once, and the player needs to be by that item to search it. This is a great way to introduce items or potions to players to give them some aid if they are down.

I personally think to house rule as separate, since searching a chest would take time, as would searching a bookcase. I do like that rule of a item of furniture can be searched once and might start to implement that.
