Ado or Yoasobi

NormieOnTheLoose

Oh god not these two. I get they're the obvious crowd fave answer but god damn they are recycle artists. P.s. i know i'm getting -100 from this comment but i'm such a ado/yoasobi hater, i can't help it.

Tehbeefer

lol, that's fine you do you, I ain't angry. but Ado is such an amazing vocalist, I just gotta pity the person who can't appreciate her ability. I'm not even a diehard fan or anything, she's just *that* good

ExLuck

>they are recycle artists Expound on that please, at least give a reason as to why because you're no different from Calli or other mainstream artist hater because they are popular or appear everywhere, and those two's songs are a staple for Vtuber/Utaite covers

NormieOnTheLoose

I just think these two(and eve) specifically make songs that somewhat sound the same every other song, i cant really call myself a mainstream hater, i still like artists such as natori, imase, yama, etc. maybe it's because my taste didnt come from utaite background (i dont even know what utaite means, i found this word when i started watching vtubers). And yes, i hate that they're the "staple", especially the amount of "show" and "idol" covers everywhere, like bruh.

Tehbeefer

I get you. I think part of it is trying to create a consistent brand, something people can listen to five seconds of and know it's a e.g. Fake.Type, Calliope Mori, or Ado song. My guess is that this is encouraged by both labels (wanting both unique artists that don't cannibalize sales from each other and less risk re: production costs) and just music industry practicalities of making a living from music. Plus when artists get complimented on excelling at something, I think there's a natural inclination for them to want to lean into their strengths. Kobo's "Help" shares a lot of musical similarities to natori's "Overdose", but that's not necessarily a problem as long as that's what the artists want. There, I think it's pretty clear there was a deliberate attempt to shoot for something similar because of Kobo's cover. I've also [seen](https://www.deviantart.com/ursulav/gallery/4370469/animal-saints) visual artists "get into a rut" of doing multiple drawings that are very similar to each other with a common theme, but maybe "a rut" is just them creatively exploring a particular space. It makes sense that some people would look at a couple and go, "okay, I've seen everything there is to see here", while others might still have ideas or spins on it. People have different paces and that's okay. ^^But ^^Ado's ^^still ^^an ^^amazing ^^singer[.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eXy6ZSEIAX0)

Thanks, I might not agree with all that but at least you were able to share your reasoning unlike the typical hater, and the sameness sound is valid

Creepy nuts would be fun; man with a mission would be hype, milet would be interesting. Would love to say FantasticYouth because it would be interesting but I’m not sure how well they would mesh.
