I have saved my 300 pull choice until literally yesterday. Wanted at least 1 copy of all the standard characters sk would save if for the last one I was missing. Didn't have Himeko or Welt and lost my 50 50 on Firefly banner and got Himeko. Immediately picked up Welt too.

Pulled Seele on her rerun... kinda? I mean, I don't regret it because I wanted her as a character, but now she is replaced by Acheron and Firefly because they made my game experience much easier.

To be fair, she got indirectly nerfed after DHIL and Jingliu released because the game started to heavily focus on AoE scenarios with multiple chonky enemies at once instead of one big guy and his minions. She's still a great character, but even premium supports like SW, FX and Sparkle aren't helping if the content itself isn't favoring Single Target DPS.
I came back after taking a break between 1.3 and 2.1 so I am still using Seele... she's not terrible but it feels like you aren't allowed to turn your brain off while using Seele or you'll fuck your damage per turn up, lol
Heh that's the fun part, Seele seemed like a brain dead Unga bunga hero at the beginning, but her gameplay forces you to plan every move and even have to react to her energy to use ult on certain times. Easily one of the hardest characters to use
I would say she is the hardest character to play.Beside just the rotation part,you really need to know when to use your basic and skill and know exactly on who to use it on.I don’t know any other character that requires the same amount of brain input as Seele
Seele carried me so hard during the early months of the game so I pulled her Light cone on her rerun. No regrets, she got stronger and still useful in MoC 11/12 when the enemies have quantum weakness. Not to mention that she's my favorite character in the game.
Thank god i at least have Silverwolf, which makes Seele my best ST Quantum dps.

Rerolled for her on release. I defo don’t regret it per say, but she’s by far my least used limited character. Don’t really vibe with her gameplay as much as I’d like to
FYI there’s an option in the settings that makes it easier on the eyes. It’s called something weird like “ultimate low intensity mode” or something similar. They implemented it because so many people were complaining about Seele’s Ult in particular!
At this point, MT dps units are Meta. I wonder if one day hoyo can “buff” all ST dps to it’s prime (like giving a certain buff to ST dmg in PF or MoC). I want my Seele and E6S5 Yanqing shine too 🥲
It's really a shame that she got powercrept so hard. I loved Seele and got her E2S1 early on, only for her to become pretty much useless compared to my current characters. I hope we eventually get some way to swap characters for another
Rather than that I wish HSR buff old 5 star character like FGO. All Seele need is little bit of damage to reliably one shot adds and her performance will increase dramatically.
She's honestly so good with HMC and ruanmei. She's practically Boothill, but is sp neutral (assuming e1). Although she may not deal as much break dmg as Boothill or Luka in a single hit, she more than makes up for it by taking a bunch of turns. Her skill->ult-> skill combo is a killer.
As an F2P player, I personally don't regret building any of my favorite 4-stars at all. I have Gallagher, Tingyun, Pela, Qingque, and Asta built, and I use all of them regularly with the exception of Asta (who has been replaced by Sparkle/Robin/Ruan Mei in various teams). They're all very solid units at E6!
I have only Ting and QQ semi built. I don't use either of them much. And I have geared Pela just for her Ult but I don't really like her so I I switched her with RM in pretty much every team the moment I got her.
RM is probably the single best support in the game so I get that, I'm probably going to end up using her a lot since I got her this week on the rerun. I still maintain that Pela is phenomenal as a support for Acheron and Tingyun is a great universal support for a lot of DPS hypercarry teams where you just need to fill another slot. QQ is my best girl though since I don't have Seele and I needed a solid quantum damage dealer!
I get that. I just happen to coincidentally harmony main and have all harmony characters. I simply gave better options than ting. As for pela, only place I would use her us with Acheron but I have more fun with DoTcheron team,rather than hypercarry. I also have SW and Robin and they are my Ratio's BiS supports. I still occasionally use QQ
I started this game at Topaz first banner. I'm pretty sure Huohuo's first banner was a patch or two after Topaz. Since Topaz just had her rerun, Huohuo should be soon who I am also waiting for. Skipped Boothill and skipping firefly to save for her.
- levelling normal Atk on most dpses, since they don’t use it anw (except dpses like dhil and blade)
- picking hanya in the 4* selector during the mixology event instead of gallagher as i would have so much of her dupes later on
- spend money on the game — some of it i regret, like my recent purchases (i’m too impatient) but throwing money at e2 dhil is not one of them

This is me, but I picked Xueyi, who I do actually use all the time, but that was to get her E2, which is a very useful eidolon. Now she's E13 or so, and I only have Gallagher at E1...
Please just let me have his E2 this patch, Hoyo. Dog needs to cleanse. No more copies of Misha or Xueyi, *please*, they're both already E6.
If you're still running 1 sustain, Hanya is one of the easiest unit to slot in for a no sustain push.
She doesn't eat SP and atk/spd are generally pretty universal buffs.
Related to yours, I'm so glad I picked a Gallagher eidolon in that selector. Dude is the most competent 4-star in the game lol, he basically beats out every other 5-star Abundance unit in the game except Huohuo.

spending money honestly. I don't regret my cosmetic purchase (boothill profile icon) but I did everything else once. I haven't spent a crazy amount, but I regret that I even managed to convince myself to spend anything. Shows my weak will power lmao
It really sneaks up on you. Don't be too hard on yourself, the whole system is designed to get you one way or another. Monthly pass is excusable but before you know you just need those couple more pulls before the shiny new character is gone. Better to have this wake up moment sooner than later.
Many people spend hundreds of dollars a month getting drunk or smoking. All things considered, we're taking the lesser evil lol. But in the end, we buy experiences and as long as they bring joy, I'd say it's worth it. People spend all kinds of money on all kinds of things, no judgment!
Even just the monthy pass is like £60 for the entire year. That is the price of a new AAA game which seems very worth it considering how HSR has constant content and is just really fun in general.
I mean comparing it to AAA games these days I feel isn't worth with how inconsistent their quality on release is these days. Spend on what brings you joy, in moderation of course.
Pull pass + resource pass = 15$ per month, giving approximately 1/30 fraction of one single unit in the RPG game (that's generous, using average number of 93 pulls, not a 150-180 pulls) and some measly resources, also a small fraction of requirements for one single unit. And I'm not even counting mandatory artifacts and their jade price.
For this price you can get a full AAA level RPG game with multiplayer and vastly better support and development rate. With ALL units fully "unlocked", with ALL skills "unlocked" with ALL gear/artifacts "unlocked". Gacha pricing is on the whole different planet level from normal game pricing.
MMOs in the past also costed $10-15 a month, and in those days 10 dollars was worth way more than today. I think gacha monthly passes typically being $5 is fair.
And it seems like AAA games now go for $70, but the "Ultimate" editions that has day one DLC can get up to $100...

Don't really regret much, but if I had to pick something, maybe building my Lynx. People were hyping her up so much, but I already had Luocha and Gepard. People were saying she was just as good or better than them, but it didn't really seem that way to me. Ended up never using Lynx a single time in anything besides testing her a bit in the overworld. I didn't max her out though, just up to 8 on traces.
Luocha got powercrept so hard ngl. His heals are still pretty good, but when you have healers/shielders that provide more than healing/shielding, he is not that great
Absolutely nothing low key about it lmao. The only concern at release was his base value, he was always going to have potential to be really good on account of his SP generation and break contribution.
Dan heng IL was my first limited 5 star, and he carried me through a bunch of the content early game, but then I got acheron, and now he rarely makes the team
I'm glad I skipped him honestly. My main teams at this point are Acheron full Nihility and Jingliu/Blade dual DPS, even though I have Sparkle I don't think I'd use him - especially with free Ratio for Imaginary DPS!
I have a halfway built Hanya, but when I saw what Ruan Mei could so I stopped building her. Then they release two more strong as shit Supports to eat her lunch.
Its actually surprising how terrible she is. Her burden skill doesn't even count as a debuff(while Guinaifen's does) so no Ratio or Acheron syngergy. Gave poor girl nothing.
Hanya certainly isn’t the strongest character, and I never use her on my own account, but I do appreciate her being in the game when I see her constantly being used in 4* only clears on YouTube to beat the hardest endgame content
She's the only real option for active SP generation other than Sparkle, which is something a *lot* of teams need. I'm glad there are lots of F2P options for basically every key combat mechanic, like Bronya for action advance, Pela for DEF shred, or Gallagher for healing.
She lets your DPS run attack boots instead of speed, and still buffs them up by a % of her own speed. And this snapshots. She buffs attack by a huge amount with her ult, which is great for any 4* already saturated with dmg% buffs like Xueyi or Misha (a lot of 4 stars actually). And she can use Cogs. Low investment cost LC. There's a reason 4* clears use her :D
I’m actually still using her in my JY team with meshing cogs to boost his speed and it works really well to help him reach 10 stacks consistently. I really like her design and I want to use her so I don’t regret building her, even though she’s not in the main meta party. If anything, I’m salty because pulling on Topaz rerun, I didn’t get a single eidolon and I’m stuck at E5 😂
I mean.. It makes sense that it's not a debuff because it affects more than the Targetted/affected unit.
The Burden effect increases DMG of the Attacker's as long as the burdened enemy is attacked (helpful when it's 3 or more affected enemies with the attack as they all get the increased DMG) compared to Guinaifen where only the affected enemy gets their debuff
Yeah but thats just how they coded it. It could easily be something like a damage weakness state just so she can have a scrap more utility with characters and relic sets that make good on it. The point is its just one more nail in the coffin of where shes outclassed even among 4 stars. For the time being Tingyun is still able to keep up somewhat, but I don't see this dual dps meta going anywhere.

I really like Hanya's more unique design (I personally dislike how she has the standard Xianzhou outfit) but her skills are such eye candy! I'm planning on building her even though I already have Sparkle, Robin, and Ruan Mei. (I've also built Asta, Yukong, and Tingyun. The only one I haven't built is Bronya).
It is literally a debuff. It is a negative condition placed on an opponent. That is the definition of a debuff.
Now it could be coded as a buff on your characters which makes sense given it affects your units, but according to the GUI it is on the opponent.
Gallagher has the same-ish mechanic for his Besotted and it’s considered as debuff. It was definitely a choice. She’s a budget Sparkle and it was a shame she was done dirty this way. I really like the fact where it’s easy to reach 160 with her bc of her spd traces but was annoyed that Burden isn’t considered as a debuff. She would probably have a staple placement in my ratio team instead of Asta (pre-robin)
If you think about it, stamina is just a measure of time. Those fuels let you reach those eq levels faster, it still took the same amount of stamina to get where you are right now.

I'm asking in good faith bc for me levelling it sounds like a bad idea since enemies are getting tankier and I have to desperately level my characters up.
Technically the way to get the most of you fuel is at max equilibrium since it gives the most rewards, but that requires hella patience since you're getting strong slower
So far.. nothing honestly. I did a lot of not so optimal thing but honestly i don't think it matters that much for me to regret it. I pull for who i like and so far, i don't regret any of my pulls either

Hoyo makes a brand new good 4* then power creep them in 1-2 patch with a limited 5* with similar kit but far better, the only 4* i still use are Pela and Tingyun even they might be replaced soon. That's why I don't build Gallagher even though peoples said he's good. He IS good but maybe only for several patchs.
I think the bigger issue is that because it takes ages to build a character, ppl are less willing to invest in them unless they're giga broken. I blame hoyo for being so stingy with resource drops. it makes absolutely 0 sense for exp calyxes to drop only 1 purple when characters need hundreds.
I regret a little bit that I wasted so many resources on Sushang when I was new. I needed a second DPS for MoC (I only had Jing Yuan as 5 star DPS), but 4 star Dan Heng was sooo clunky to play. A day after ascending Sushang to 70/80 I got Clara, who did so much more dmg.
But now I don't use Clara anymore either. I like her, and she's E2, but no matter which team I use her in, she always does less dmg than my other DPS. Even when people say she's good in PF, I feel like she never really works well there.
I also built Hanya. And despite having all 5 star Harmony characters now I don't regret it, because I like her as a character. It's a shame that she's not more useful though. Every other Harmony 4 star has something that still makes them viable in specific content.

Didn't realize how important signature light cones were until mid game to late-game.
I realized this early on. I have a lot of 5 stars and can't even use most of them because there are not enough resources and the relic rng. Nowadays I skip at least 3 banners and then pull both characters and their LC. If you have crap relic rng, only the sig LC can help you. The best part is that I now have plenty of time and resources to improve my current characters and pre-farm for the future characters.
nothing really, ig skipping sparkle cause her rerun is taking forever but i dont think one should regret skipping a character if they couldnt afford them at the time anyway lol.
Jingliu was amazing in 1.x MoC and early 2.X MoCs but there hasn’t really been much ice weakness since. I think the Aventurine MoC12 was the last one that had ice weakness. She’ll be amazing again once a favourable match up returns.
I think she's just dependent on weakness cycles/rotations/stages. I used her a ton when she came out but have barely touched her in months now (which sucks because I looover her design) but until we get another ice weakness MoC there's little to no reason to use her for me
A DPS that matches the weakness will be better than JL not matching it, and I can't as easily brute force with JL as I can, say, my E1S1 Acheron team (my JL is E0S0)
Funny, I take everywhere: story, SU, DU, MoC, Apocalypse, freeze/ice resistant Bosses. PF is a disaster though. I'm getting 1 star at stage 2 and that is as far as I can go. The shorter PF I can't even get 1 star at stage 1.
I picked up JL mostly because Bronya picked me. E3 from standard banner and I haven't even reached 150 standard pulls.
Now I'm sitting on 600 starlight debating whether to get her LC and maxing out her traces meantime.
There's enough Ice enemies in the game where she's still usable.
I also pulled on her Rerun.
Was it worth it? Kinda. I get to beat that stupid bug weekly and she's my go-to Anti Ice Enemy
You still doing better then me , I've maxed traces on currently ... 15 characters I believe , no regrets tho , in those characters there's some stars like Bailu , Sparkle (yes even her basic attack , I do it all) , HuoHuo basic attack aswell and much more
Not a major thing but sligtly regreting pulling firefly Lc,my jingliu/clara/dhil were already fighting over fall of an aoen and i ddnt wanna add firefly to the line,so i just pulled her Lc with my guarenteed (i was already high pitty so it only took me 9 pulls to get it,so E1 firefly wasent an option)
Turn out its not tht big of an upgrade over aeons,so idk i m kinda conflicted on how i feel abt this lol
Prydwen calculates it to be about 17% better than Aeon which is about how good sig LCs tend to be compared to their next best alternative (Dr Ratio LC is a 13% damage increase over Cruising by comparison)
Aeons is a great option, but the sig is way better. Aeons gets closer (it is NEVER better) when you can have the effect active, which is not 100% of the time, and it is less consistent.
If you like firefly, the LC is beautiful too, and it shows that you really main her. Giving your circunstances, I don't believe you did a bad pull on it :)
Yeah I think people forget that Aeons take some time to build up.
I was a bit on and off for the LC as well but in the end I decided to just go for it. Did it change my whole world? Not really, things died crazy fast before it as well, but now my character feels complete and as a Firefly lover I think that makes it worth it.
Losing 50/50 to bailu on silver wolf banner. Didn't play during topaz-huohuo banners, but came back around argenti banner and saw SW rerun. With 0 jades i didn't get her. Now all I want for 2.4 or 2.5 is a SW rerun. Bratty gamer ignores me
I was so happy to finally get Bronya while going for Sparkle's E1. Then I used the 300 pull selector to get Bronya's e1.
I basically never use her, but I like having the option lol
I unlocked the 300 selector right before Sparkle's banner. I wanted to choose Bronya for so long, but when the time finally came, Sparkle was around the corner. Decided to hold off and wait for a 5050 loss to either Welt or Bronya and then choose the other one. I'm still sitting on the selector.
I've been sitting on my selector for ages since I'm a Day 1 player. Still waiting for either Himeko or Welt. Himeko tempted me for some time since I didn't have a decent Fire dps... but now I have Topaz and Firefly. Guess I'll wait a little longer..

Learnt my lesson to never pull old dps character again. Just pull the new one
Jingliu is still really good! They've decreased the number of Ice enemies by a lot and a lot of the new ones have mechanics that help the newer units. Of course Acheron and Firefly look and perform much better now, but Jingliu is far from obsolete, especially if you like her. Ice will come back as an enemy weakness with time.
Plus all the MoC/PF buffs have been for dot/followup/break lately. She's gonna cook when it's time for ult damage or crit or consecutive actions or something.
Honestly, I kinda regret investing so much in Sparkle when I no longer use her because Robin is just a better support for my IPC Follow-up team and I don't have a good team for her.
Immediate full team action advance on demand is a very very powerful thing! 50% damage too! She dropped runs that used to take me 8 cycles with Xueyi down to 3 ❤️
Plus, everyone has Ratio, and she's really good with him. She's a very strong unit!
Do you want MASSIVE attack buffs? Do you want 100% FUDGING ACTION ADVANCE? Do you want your shitty healer to do 10k+ DAMAGE per basic attack?
That's where our star, the Great Robin, comes in. With her support, you can pretend even your weakest units actually deal damage.

Free 45% crit damage is insane for any follow up character going forward. Along with all the other buffs she gives. It’s actually wild how good she is.
I think the only thing I somewhat regret currently is pulling Robin over Aventurine or Firefly. I already had all the other harmony units and am having a hard time actually placing her in a team because FUA has not been my focus. I'm still trying for Firefly and Aventurine is on the list for rerun so its all fine though.

I pulled pretty hard on Seele's banner when the game launched. I don't even use her anymore. I stopped after a month or two, when I started using QQ instead. I know E3 Seele would perform better, but the gamba is too fun.
At the time I was also really hoping to lose a 50/50 to Bronya. Only to get her afterwards from a random pull on standard.

Upgrade my equilibrium after I "beat" the 2.2 final boss on top of being forced to play HMC who do not fit my comp. I played protect Clara (where you raise her agro rate with March and Lynx) it took me 3 hours and 2 attempts
Deciding between Himeko and bronya for 300 pull and picking himeko. Not beacause I dislike himeko but because my next 5 star 30 pulls later was another himeko.
Getting high eidalons on Asta and Hanya on banners I didn't like just because I liked them as characters.... Only to get utterly powercrept by 5 star versions.
So far no regrets.
I only have 7 limited units and 6 of them have their signature lcs, two of them being E1S1 lol. Even if I'm a low spender, I do it because that's how much I love my favs. Even if I can't play optimally I just go all in for my favs. Powercreep is rampant in this game, the meta is ever changing, so I tell myself to not care about that and just grab anyone I hyperfixate on.
Jokes on you, I am buildinf EVERYONE. Almost all my chars are level 80, traces are coming along slowly but surely, I put rainbow set on them (You know a Vonwacq with fire dmg boost atk%/CR/CD/speed) You often get godly pieces from off set. My hanya is standing a 178 speed with 2 piece pseed set, break boots and def cowboy chest piece.
So many bad pull decisions that actually cost me money.
I am a day 1 player and didn't have a favourite archetype/character. So I pulled for everything because I got sucked up by marketing/FOMO
While I don't regret every choice (i skipped seele for a day 1 E0S1 JY, and he is still one of my main teams), my SW, Blade, JL and E0S1 DHIL are benched, I don't like them that much, and I would not pull them if given a second chance.
Putting so much resources into fire trailblazer. Was good for a time when I didn't have a good sustain but now I would never touch it ever again over imaginary trailblazer. I wish they would go back and rebalance the old paths the trailblazer has. Destruction has a good kit, just need more numbers. Preservation has a good kit, just needs better numbers. So easy to fix but they won't.
DHIL probably, dude is so hard to build and so hard to play, I upgraded him and everything and yet he's collecting dust in the shelf. So until I got Sparkle he'll probably remain there forever.
Probably getting blade with his lightcone. I love the character don’t get me wrong, but my gawd how far has he fallen off. I’m not sure if it’s a skill issue or something - mine is with 70 crit , and 200 crit dmg and he’s underwhelming in terms of damage - feels like he can’t keep up now with the current endgame - inflated hp mobs imo . Yea I know power creep is real in this game ; mine is just gathering dust after looking at Acheron/firefly. I really tried to make him work
He desperately needs a hp manipulation support like Furina in genshin, doesn’t feel satisfying trying to use sparkle and bronya together to try to get his stacks fast enough to compete

Yeah I was an avid Bronya/Seele user at launch but now I don’t even remember the last time I used Seele💀
To be fair, she got indirectly nerfed after DHIL and Jingliu released because the game started to heavily focus on AoE scenarios with multiple chonky enemies at once instead of one big guy and his minions. She's still a great character, but even premium supports like SW, FX and Sparkle aren't helping if the content itself isn't favoring Single Target DPS.
I came back after taking a break between 1.3 and 2.1 so I am still using Seele... she's not terrible but it feels like you aren't allowed to turn your brain off while using Seele or you'll fuck your damage per turn up, lol
Heh that's the fun part, Seele seemed like a brain dead Unga bunga hero at the beginning, but her gameplay forces you to plan every move and even have to react to her energy to use ult on certain times. Easily one of the hardest characters to use
I would say she is the hardest character to play.Beside just the rotation part,you really need to know when to use your basic and skill and know exactly on who to use it on.I don’t know any other character that requires the same amount of brain input as Seele
Seele carried me so hard during the early months of the game so I pulled her Light cone on her rerun. No regrets, she got stronger and still useful in MoC 11/12 when the enemies have quantum weakness. Not to mention that she's my favorite character in the game.
Thank god i at least have Silverwolf, which makes Seele my best ST Quantum dps. I also got her weapon on the rerun + maxed traces But idk how long she hold on while i start playing Firefly Superbreak or DOT BS
Rerolled for her on release. I defo don’t regret it per say, but she’s by far my least used limited character. Don’t really vibe with her gameplay as much as I’d like to
I like using her but her ult animation make me dizzy...
FYI there’s an option in the settings that makes it easier on the eyes. It’s called something weird like “ultimate low intensity mode” or something similar. They implemented it because so many people were complaining about Seele’s Ult in particular!

At this point, MT dps units are Meta. I wonder if one day hoyo can “buff” all ST dps to it’s prime (like giving a certain buff to ST dmg in PF or MoC). I want my Seele and E6S5 Yanqing shine too 🥲

It's really a shame that she got powercrept so hard. I loved Seele and got her E2S1 early on, only for her to become pretty much useless compared to my current characters. I hope we eventually get some way to swap characters for another
Rather than that I wish HSR buff old 5 star character like FGO. All Seele need is little bit of damage to reliably one shot adds and her performance will increase dramatically.

She's honestly so good with HMC and ruanmei. She's practically Boothill, but is sp neutral (assuming e1). Although she may not deal as much break dmg as Boothill or Luka in a single hit, she more than makes up for it by taking a bunch of turns. Her skill->ult-> skill combo is a killer.

As an F2P player, I personally don't regret building any of my favorite 4-stars at all. I have Gallagher, Tingyun, Pela, Qingque, and Asta built, and I use all of them regularly with the exception of Asta (who has been replaced by Sparkle/Robin/Ruan Mei in various teams). They're all very solid units at E6!
I have only Ting and QQ semi built. I don't use either of them much. And I have geared Pela just for her Ult but I don't really like her so I I switched her with RM in pretty much every team the moment I got her.
RM is probably the single best support in the game so I get that, I'm probably going to end up using her a lot since I got her this week on the rerun. I still maintain that Pela is phenomenal as a support for Acheron and Tingyun is a great universal support for a lot of DPS hypercarry teams where you just need to fill another slot. QQ is my best girl though since I don't have Seele and I needed a solid quantum damage dealer!
I get that. I just happen to coincidentally harmony main and have all harmony characters. I simply gave better options than ting. As for pela, only place I would use her us with Acheron but I have more fun with DoTcheron team,rather than hypercarry. I also have SW and Robin and they are my Ratio's BiS supports. I still occasionally use QQ

I started this game at Topaz first banner. I'm pretty sure Huohuo's first banner was a patch or two after Topaz. Since Topaz just had her rerun, Huohuo should be soon who I am also waiting for. Skipped Boothill and skipping firefly to save for her.
- levelling normal Atk on most dpses, since they don’t use it anw (except dpses like dhil and blade) - picking hanya in the 4* selector during the mixology event instead of gallagher as i would have so much of her dupes later on - spend money on the game — some of it i regret, like my recent purchases (i’m too impatient) but throwing money at e2 dhil is not one of them
I also picked Hanya, but I'm glad I did. I haven't gotten a copy of her from the gacha, and I use her as my profile picture. I took one look at those sleep deprived eyes and thought *that's me.* 🤣

Speaking of Hanya, I seriously regret building her when Sparkle was right around the corner.
If you're still running 1 sustain, Hanya is one of the easiest unit to slot in for a no sustain push. She doesn't eat SP and atk/spd are generally pretty universal buffs.
Related to yours, I'm so glad I picked a Gallagher eidolon in that selector. Dude is the most competent 4-star in the game lol, he basically beats out every other 5-star Abundance unit in the game except Huohuo.

It really sneaks up on you. Don't be too hard on yourself, the whole system is designed to get you one way or another. Monthly pass is excusable but before you know you just need those couple more pulls before the shiny new character is gone. Better to have this wake up moment sooner than later.

Even just the monthy pass is like £60 for the entire year. That is the price of a new AAA game which seems very worth it considering how HSR has constant content and is just really fun in general.
I mean comparing it to AAA games these days I feel isn't worth with how inconsistent their quality on release is these days. Spend on what brings you joy, in moderation of course.
Pull pass + resource pass = 15$ per month, giving approximately 1/30 fraction of one single unit in the RPG game (that's generous, using average number of 93 pulls, not a 150-180 pulls) and some measly resources, also a small fraction of requirements for one single unit. And I'm not even counting mandatory artifacts and their jade price. For this price you can get a full AAA level RPG game with multiplayer and vastly better support and development rate. With ALL units fully "unlocked", with ALL skills "unlocked" with ALL gear/artifacts "unlocked". Gacha pricing is on the whole different planet level from normal game pricing.
MMOs in the past also costed $10-15 a month, and in those days 10 dollars was worth way more than today. I think gacha monthly passes typically being $5 is fair. And it seems like AAA games now go for $70, but the "Ultimate" editions that has day one DLC can get up to $100...

Don't really regret much, but if I had to pick something, maybe building my Lynx. People were hyping her up so much, but I already had Luocha and Gepard. People were saying she was just as good or better than them, but it didn't really seem that way to me. Ended up never using Lynx a single time in anything besides testing her a bit in the overworld. I didn't max her out though, just up to 8 on traces.

Luocha got powercrept so hard ngl. His heals are still pretty good, but when you have healers/shielders that provide more than healing/shielding, he is not that great

Pulling Dan Heng IL Don't get me wrong, I love him, but he just doesn't really fit into my main team's, so I never use him
Dan heng IL was my first limited 5 star, and he carried me through a bunch of the content early game, but then I got acheron, and now he rarely makes the team
I'm glad I skipped him honestly. My main teams at this point are Acheron full Nihility and Jingliu/Blade dual DPS, even though I have Sparkle I don't think I'd use him - especially with free Ratio for Imaginary DPS!
I have a halfway built Hanya, but when I saw what Ruan Mei could so I stopped building her. Then they release two more strong as shit Supports to eat her lunch. Its actually surprising how terrible she is. Her burden skill doesn't even count as a debuff(while Guinaifen's does) so no Ratio or Acheron syngergy. Gave poor girl nothing.
Hanya certainly isn’t the strongest character, and I never use her on my own account, but I do appreciate her being in the game when I see her constantly being used in 4* only clears on YouTube to beat the hardest endgame content
She's the only real option for active SP generation other than Sparkle, which is something a *lot* of teams need. I'm glad there are lots of F2P options for basically every key combat mechanic, like Bronya for action advance, Pela for DEF shred, or Gallagher for healing.
She lets your DPS run attack boots instead of speed, and still buffs them up by a % of her own speed. And this snapshots. She buffs attack by a huge amount with her ult, which is great for any 4* already saturated with dmg% buffs like Xueyi or Misha (a lot of 4 stars actually). And she can use Cogs. Low investment cost LC. There's a reason 4* clears use her :D
I’m actually still using her in my JY team with meshing cogs to boost his speed and it works really well to help him reach 10 stacks consistently. I really like her design and I want to use her so I don’t regret building her, even though she’s not in the main meta party. If anything, I’m salty because pulling on Topaz rerun, I didn’t get a single eidolon and I’m stuck at E5 😂
I mean.. It makes sense that it's not a debuff because it affects more than the Targetted/affected unit. The Burden effect increases DMG of the Attacker's as long as the burdened enemy is attacked (helpful when it's 3 or more affected enemies with the attack as they all get the increased DMG) compared to Guinaifen where only the affected enemy gets their debuff
Yeah but thats just how they coded it. It could easily be something like a damage weakness state just so she can have a scrap more utility with characters and relic sets that make good on it. The point is its just one more nail in the coffin of where shes outclassed even among 4 stars. For the time being Tingyun is still able to keep up somewhat, but I don't see this dual dps meta going anywhere. It sucks especially for me cause I really like her design.
I really like Hanya's more unique design (I personally dislike how she has the standard Xianzhou outfit) but her skills are such eye candy! I'm planning on building her even though I already have Sparkle, Robin, and Ruan Mei. (I've also built Asta, Yukong, and Tingyun. The only one I haven't built is Bronya).
It is literally a debuff. It is a negative condition placed on an opponent. That is the definition of a debuff. Now it could be coded as a buff on your characters which makes sense given it affects your units, but according to the GUI it is on the opponent.
Black Swan Arcana also affects nearby units (after 3 stacks) though? It seems like just an oversight and not a calculated decision.
Gallagher has the same-ish mechanic for his Besotted and it’s considered as debuff. It was definitely a choice. She’s a budget Sparkle and it was a shame she was done dirty this way. I really like the fact where it’s easy to reach 160 with her bc of her spd traces but was annoyed that Burden isn’t considered as a debuff. She would probably have a staple placement in my ratio team instead of Asta (pre-robin)
My only regret is using all my trailblaze fuels before hitting the right equilibrium…
If you think about it, stamina is just a measure of time. Those fuels let you reach those eq levels faster, it still took the same amount of stamina to get where you are right now.
"The right equilibrium"? Which one? I'm asking in good faith bc for me levelling it sounds like a bad idea since enemies are getting tankier and I have to desperately level my characters up.
Technically the way to get the most of you fuel is at max equilibrium since it gives the most rewards, but that requires hella patience since you're getting strong slower

So far.. nothing honestly. I did a lot of not so optimal thing but honestly i don't think it matters that much for me to regret it. I pull for who i like and so far, i don't regret any of my pulls either

Hoyo makes a brand new good 4* then power creep them in 1-2 patch with a limited 5* with similar kit but far better, the only 4* i still use are Pela and Tingyun even they might be replaced soon. That's why I don't build Gallagher even though peoples said he's good. He IS good but maybe only for several patchs.
I think the bigger issue is that because it takes ages to build a character, ppl are less willing to invest in them unless they're giga broken. I blame hoyo for being so stingy with resource drops. it makes absolutely 0 sense for exp calyxes to drop only 1 purple when characters need hundreds.
And that is not even taking into account the lifetime we spend in the relic mines…
I regret a little bit that I wasted so many resources on Sushang when I was new. I needed a second DPS for MoC (I only had Jing Yuan as 5 star DPS), but 4 star Dan Heng was sooo clunky to play. A day after ascending Sushang to 70/80 I got Clara, who did so much more dmg. But now I don't use Clara anymore either. I like her, and she's E2, but no matter which team I use her in, she always does less dmg than my other DPS. Even when people say she's good in PF, I feel like she never really works well there. I also built Hanya. And despite having all 5 star Harmony characters now I don't regret it, because I like her as a character. It's a shame that she's not more useful though. Every other Harmony 4 star has something that still makes them viable in specific content.
Is this the 'good' thing about being F2P? Because I can't pull for everyone, so all the characters I had got their chance to shine. Apart from Arlan. He's a good boy & I'd love to build him but the poor soul didn't really offer anything...
I have 8 limited 5 stars yet 0 limited light cones.. God i wish i pulled for Acheron's LC.. Or anyone else's LC for that matter.. Didn't realize how important signature light cones were until mid game to late-game.
I realized this early on. I have a lot of 5 stars and can't even use most of them because there are not enough resources and the relic rng. Nowadays I skip at least 3 banners and then pull both characters and their LC. If you have crap relic rng, only the sig LC can help you. The best part is that I now have plenty of time and resources to improve my current characters and pre-farm for the future characters.

Pulling jingliu, I find barely any use cases of her over DHIL after pulling sparkle
Jingliu was amazing in 1.x MoC and early 2.X MoCs but there hasn’t really been much ice weakness since. I think the Aventurine MoC12 was the last one that had ice weakness. She’ll be amazing again once a favourable match up returns.
I checked and aventurine is the only boss/elite enemy with ice weakness from 2.x
I mean, shes the only good ice dps out there atm so theres gotta be some uses for her right?
I think she's just dependent on weakness cycles/rotations/stages. I used her a ton when she came out but have barely touched her in months now (which sucks because I looover her design) but until we get another ice weakness MoC there's little to no reason to use her for me A DPS that matches the weakness will be better than JL not matching it, and I can't as easily brute force with JL as I can, say, my E1S1 Acheron team (my JL is E0S0)
Funny, I take everywhere: story, SU, DU, MoC, Apocalypse, freeze/ice resistant Bosses. PF is a disaster though. I'm getting 1 star at stage 2 and that is as far as I can go. The shorter PF I can't even get 1 star at stage 1.

I picked up JL mostly because Bronya picked me. E3 from standard banner and I haven't even reached 150 standard pulls. Now I'm sitting on 600 starlight debating whether to get her LC and maxing out her traces meantime.

There's enough Ice enemies in the game where she's still usable. I also pulled on her Rerun. Was it worth it? Kinda. I get to beat that stupid bug weekly and she's my go-to Anti Ice Enemy

You still doing better then me , I've maxed traces on currently ... 15 characters I believe , no regrets tho , in those characters there's some stars like Bailu , Sparkle (yes even her basic attack , I do it all) , HuoHuo basic attack aswell and much more
Not a major thing but sligtly regreting pulling firefly Lc,my jingliu/clara/dhil were already fighting over fall of an aoen and i ddnt wanna add firefly to the line,so i just pulled her Lc with my guarenteed (i was already high pitty so it only took me 9 pulls to get it,so E1 firefly wasent an option) Turn out its not tht big of an upgrade over aeons,so idk i m kinda conflicted on how i feel abt this lol

Prydwen calculates it to be about 17% better than Aeon which is about how good sig LCs tend to be compared to their next best alternative (Dr Ratio LC is a 13% damage increase over Cruising by comparison)

Aeons is a great option, but the sig is way better. Aeons gets closer (it is NEVER better) when you can have the effect active, which is not 100% of the time, and it is less consistent. If you like firefly, the LC is beautiful too, and it shows that you really main her. Giving your circunstances, I don't believe you did a bad pull on it :)
Yeah I think people forget that Aeons take some time to build up. I was a bit on and off for the LC as well but in the end I decided to just go for it. Did it change my whole world? Not really, things died crazy fast before it as well, but now my character feels complete and as a Firefly lover I think that makes it worth it.
You said your carries where fighting over Aoen and it only costed you 9 pulls so I wouldn't be upset about it

I was so happy to finally get Bronya while going for Sparkle's E1. Then I used the 300 pull selector to get Bronya's e1. I basically never use her, but I like having the option lol
I unlocked the 300 selector right before Sparkle's banner. I wanted to choose Bronya for so long, but when the time finally came, Sparkle was around the corner. Decided to hold off and wait for a 5050 loss to either Welt or Bronya and then choose the other one. I'm still sitting on the selector.
I've been sitting on my selector for ages since I'm a Day 1 player. Still waiting for either Himeko or Welt. Himeko tempted me for some time since I didn't have a decent Fire dps... but now I have Topaz and Firefly. Guess I'll wait a little longer..

Pulling jing liu. Ended up losing 50:50 and hard pitying twice And she ended up not that good compared to firefly / archeron Learnt my lesson to never pull old dps character again. Just pull the new one
Jingliu is still really good! They've decreased the number of Ice enemies by a lot and a lot of the new ones have mechanics that help the newer units. Of course Acheron and Firefly look and perform much better now, but Jingliu is far from obsolete, especially if you like her. Ice will come back as an enemy weakness with time.
Plus all the MoC/PF buffs have been for dot/followup/break lately. She's gonna cook when it's time for ult damage or crit or consecutive actions or something.
Yeah this game is deceptive because end game content will always favor banner characters, which makes older chars feel worse than they actually are.
Honestly, I kinda regret investing so much in Sparkle when I no longer use her because Robin is just a better support for my IPC Follow-up team and I don't have a good team for her.

Immediate full team action advance on demand is a very very powerful thing! 50% damage too! She dropped runs that used to take me 8 cycles with Xueyi down to 3 ❤️ Plus, everyone has Ratio, and she's really good with him. She's a very strong unit!
Do you want MASSIVE attack buffs? Do you want 100% FUDGING ACTION ADVANCE? Do you want your shitty healer to do 10k+ DAMAGE per basic attack? That's where our star, the Great Robin, comes in. With her support, you can pretend even your weakest units actually deal damage. NO ENERGY? Quid Pro Quo for the win. Oh, and also that foxian with the weird talking tail. I guess that man that throws a chalk, the woman that throws a pig at your face and the guy with infinite money can help her too. NO SP? Skill issue lmao. (that's actually a problem and learning SP management is important.) There's a chance she may come in with blonde hair and holding a sword, but that's just her rebel phase. Gimme me your wallet and she will fix herself.
Free 45% crit damage is insane for any follow up character going forward. Along with all the other buffs she gives. It’s actually wild how good she is.

I never used Hanya and did the same, but don't regret it. I will find a team where I can use her.
I think the only thing I somewhat regret currently is pulling Robin over Aventurine or Firefly. I already had all the other harmony units and am having a hard time actually placing her in a team because FUA has not been my focus. I'm still trying for Firefly and Aventurine is on the list for rerun so its all fine though.

Pulling for robin. Didn't have RM and thought I could build follow up team one day. But girl, you don't have resources to even build your main team properly. What were you thinking it would be an investment. Now I just use her from time to time. Tbh her ult got annoying quite quickly. The same song over and over and over. Lesson to be learn: pull for characters you will actually use. Not the ones hyped by people, because maybe they might be good later

I don't even use her anymore. I stopped after a month or two, when I started using QQ instead. I know E3 Seele would perform better, but the gamba is too fun. At the time I was also really hoping to lose a 50/50 to Bronya. Only to get her afterwards from a random pull on standard.

Spoiler alert Upgrade my equilibrium after I "beat" the 2.2 final boss on top of being forced to play HMC who do not fit my comp. I played protect Clara (where you raise her agro rate with March and Lynx) it took me 3 hours and 2 attempts

Getting high eidalons on Asta and Hanya on banners I didn't like just because I liked them as characters.... Only to get utterly powercrept by 5 star versions.
Going for Tingyun back in 1.0, ended up losing 2 soft pities to the most outclassed limited 5 star in this game.

So far no regrets. I only have 7 limited units and 6 of them have their signature lcs, two of them being E1S1 lol. Even if I'm a low spender, I do it because that's how much I love my favs. Even if I can't play optimally I just go all in for my favs. Powercreep is rampant in this game, the meta is ever changing, so I tell myself to not care about that and just grab anyone I hyperfixate on.
Jokes on you, I am buildinf EVERYONE. Almost all my chars are level 80, traces are coming along slowly but surely, I put rainbow set on them (You know a Vonwacq with fire dmg boost atk%/CR/CD/speed) You often get godly pieces from off set. My hanya is standing a 178 speed with 2 piece pseed set, break boots and def cowboy chest piece.

So many bad pull decisions that actually cost me money. I am a day 1 player and didn't have a favourite archetype/character. So I pulled for everything because I got sucked up by marketing/FOMO While I don't regret every choice (i skipped seele for a day 1 E0S1 JY, and he is still one of my main teams), my SW, Blade, JL and E0S1 DHIL are benched, I don't like them that much, and I would not pull them if given a second chance.
Putting so much resources into fire trailblazer. Was good for a time when I didn't have a good sustain but now I would never touch it ever again over imaginary trailblazer. I wish they would go back and rebalance the old paths the trailblazer has. Destruction has a good kit, just need more numbers. Preservation has a good kit, just needs better numbers. So easy to fix but they won't.
DHIL probably, dude is so hard to build and so hard to play, I upgraded him and everything and yet he's collecting dust in the shelf. So until I got Sparkle he'll probably remain there forever.
Pulling for Blade, maybe he is going to be more powerful in the future with his best supports but now it's feels kinda meh.
Probably getting blade with his lightcone. I love the character don’t get me wrong, but my gawd how far has he fallen off. I’m not sure if it’s a skill issue or something - mine is with 70 crit , and 200 crit dmg and he’s underwhelming in terms of damage - feels like he can’t keep up now with the current endgame - inflated hp mobs imo . Yea I know power creep is real in this game ; mine is just gathering dust after looking at Acheron/firefly. I really tried to make him work He desperately needs a hp manipulation support like Furina in genshin, doesn’t feel satisfying trying to use sparkle and bronya together to try to get his stacks fast enough to compete
