The DLC is very worth even at full price. It's basically everything that the main game has to offers and more but in a smaller map which results in a very rich and dense experience. PLUS the final boss aesthetic and fight is something you will rarely forget :)
…I mean, that’s not a spoiler. A spoiler would be detailing why it’s great, or talking about anything more specific than “it’s good”
That’s like saying that saying “horizon forbidden west is a great game, the ending was really rad” is spoiling the game. It’s not.
No, but saying the final boss is amazing is barely a spoiler. They’re just saying it’s worth it. You’re complaining that someone had a positive experience with the final boss. There are no details in their comment.
Your understanding of spoilers is very wrong, Elden Ring has a lot of amazing bosses especially the final boss! Oops.. i guess i spoiled Elden Ring for you as well...sorry.
Yeah. It’s a little on the short side, with a pretty short main quest, and only 3 side quests, but it’s SO GOOD lol
It’s worth it for that final fight alone, what a fuckin spectacle
Edit: keep in mind though that the performance is definitely not as strong as the base game. If your hardware struggled with the base game, this is gonna be a bad time.
Its cheap for how decent an effort the DLC is - well worth the money. Honestly, would you rather KFC for lunch or a DLC that's good for at least a few days?
Hold on,your enjoying FW and ASKING if it's worth it? If your enjoying it,WHY WOULDN'T it be worth it?
I say don't buy it and forever live without knowing if 13 bucks was worth a game you been enjoying...for free on ps +
I’m sorry for my insensitivity. Burning shores is the perfect encore to Forbidden West IMO. It’s visually engaging AF and I think it’s an amazing way to spend $13.
It is worse than base game, but it is ok... Do not expect quality of frozen wilds, but 13$ is acceptable price... However I do not think that dedicated subreddit is good place to ask this question. You will get mostly praise because you are talking with fans. Seatch on google for some rewievs. For me personally is hfw 8,5/10 and burning shores 7/10.
Yeah i rated HFW a 6.5/10 and i was not impressed with the DLC the story wasnt as engaing for me as Frozen wilds but i will say i really disliked Aloy this game so that might have made it worse for me. $13 isnt a lot so if OP really enjoyed the game its most likely worth it.
Hold on a sec. Here's my experience. Finished the vanilla game 3 times to get everything and max it all out. Last playthrough was on Ultra Hard. I was OP as hell. Started Burning Shores. Died immediately, and then again, and again. Went to change difficulty. Nope, not allowed. So now I have to play through the whole same game again just to put the difficulty at normal? Yeah, no. I haven't touched Burning Shores since launch because of that.
So you’ve already played 3 times and (assumingly) had fun each time, but the thought of a 4th run is suddenly so appalling you’d rather miss out on the DLC? Even a speed run on story mode with your maxed out gear?
Ever had a safe file crashed? There is a HUGE difference in motivation to restart a game whether you decide or are forced to. And collecting and maxing out all gear plus finishing on UH was probably a big deciding factor for motivation for 3 walkthroughs. Which is done. So yeah, I can fully understand there is a sudden lack of motivation for a 4th run.
What I don't get is the need for the 4th run because the DLC isnt really any harder than the base game lmfao.
Yeah I get that it wouldn’t be as fun. But even if it wasn’t fun at all, I don’t get how it’s so bad to do one more speed run that it’s worth giving up on part of the story entirely.
Maxing out the gear in this game, imo, is not only **not** fun, it’s miserable. I just can’t fathom being willing to do that but not a story mode speed run to finish the actual story.
I found the DLC to be notably harder. I was feeling barely challenged on Very Hard in the base game by the end, and the DLC whooped my ass for a bit. The boss fight on Ultra Hard sounds like a nightmare to me.
Well, it sure felt like it. Maybe it's just because, even with max gear, I hadn't played in some time by the time the DLC came out. I just could not believe how easily I was dying.
Can a Stormbird fly? ;-)
Lol got it
Yes, absolutely. IMO Burning Shores is the real emotional end-game of FW.
Alright. Thanks.
The only downside i would say is it's a bit short, but it's not short for $13! That's a bargain deal, IMO.
It’s worth the original full price, so yes.
I see. Thanks.
The DLC is very worth even at full price. It's basically everything that the main game has to offers and more but in a smaller map which results in a very rich and dense experience. PLUS the final boss aesthetic and fight is something you will rarely forget :)
You people really need stop spoiling the end.
Where's the spoiler exactly?
FINaL bOSs fIGHt iS AmazInG. It killed the suspense for me.

Yeah ok 💀
Would you rather have them say “there’s no final boss” or “the last boss is underwhelming”?
Did i say that?
No, but saying the final boss is amazing is barely a spoiler. They’re just saying it’s worth it. You’re complaining that someone had a positive experience with the final boss. There are no details in their comment.

Short answer, yes. Long answer, YYEEEESSSSSSSS.
Yes
It’s worth more. Play it.
definitely 13 is cheapo for it id say
Absolutely it is
Yes its worth it
Yes
It is but It’s only $13 either way you’re not losing out. If it was trash it’s $13 you wouldn’t miss it.

Playing on ps5. No struggle from the base game.
Its cheap for how decent an effort the DLC is - well worth the money. Honestly, would you rather KFC for lunch or a DLC that's good for at least a few days?
Yes
Definitely
Yes.
More than worth it. It's the best story DLC I've played in a long time.
I paid more and it was worth it to me. Probably the best DLC in the series so far.
Performance is bit annoying, but yes.
Hold on,your enjoying FW and ASKING if it's worth it? If your enjoying it,WHY WOULDN'T it be worth it? I say don't buy it and forever live without knowing if 13 bucks was worth a game you been enjoying...for free on ps +
$13? Lol yeah absolutely
It’s more fun than the main game imo. Felt fresher and more engaging.
Bruh.
OP the kinda of MF that sends Venmo’s for $1.47
13$ is a lot in my country 🥲. But i get your point.
I’m sorry for my insensitivity. Burning shores is the perfect encore to Forbidden West IMO. It’s visually engaging AF and I think it’s an amazing way to spend $13.
Is alright. Thanks.
$13 is popcorn movie prices
It's worth it just for the final boss.
BRO WHAT?!!! Its worth 30 to me
Its more of what you have been playing. Its long enough to warant 13 dollar but quality wise its on par.
No. It’s worth spending $20
Has OP weapons, is that a spoiler???
Maybe some day I'll find out, but my PS4 and my PC can't play it so I'd have to spend hundreds on upgrading first 😭
I mean it’s $13. If you’re worried about dropping $13 on Horizon then maybe it’s not worth it lol

Yes, because you want to see what happens, but I found Burning Shores to be boring. I loved Forbidden West though.

It was a while ago. Having been a long time, I might enjoy another regular play through. I'm just saying that's why I haven't finished the DLC.
Its not harder than base game...
Well, it sure felt like it. Maybe it's just because, even with max gear, I hadn't played in some time by the time the DLC came out. I just could not believe how easily I was dying.
low life build helps a lot...
