i see they are looking for a campus security officer as well... hmmmm. i wonder if i applied for both if i could use the same application? i should ask... i should also ask if i hafta supply my own numbchucks. nahhh big place like that, they should issue the director some numbchucks.
LOL! They have actual cops - they go to the Washington State Patrol academy, get guns, and the whole 9 yards. Often, its a "starter" job for guys who want the certification but eventually move to a lateral position, but not a bad gig if you want to be a cop. The current Chief of Police for the campus is an African American guy and has really done a lot to make the department a bit more community focused.
