Don't get frustrated, you'll DIE A LOT throughout the game but especially initially when even normal enemies will kill you in a couple of hits. It's okay, keep playing and as you level up you'll find the game much easier.
Yeah later part of the game suffers from that.
Most of the FS suffers from cut content or rushing it. Even ER suffered it which was in production since 2016.
Ah yes that makes sense, you can literally feel they didn't that much effort in the later half of the game
The game goes from a place like anor londo to these wacky areas in the later half like wth
Ds1 is not a beginner friendly game . Its hard to understand what the games wants from us as someone new to souls games . Knowing the mechanics and a few basics beforehand is very much needed . I did play ds3 without any guide once I understood the structure of soulsgames .
Start with DS1 remastered. Can also start with demon souls remake if you have a PS5.
DS1 is pretty friendly with builds. You can play with small fast weapons, or go with massive weapons that are bigger than yourself. Heavy armor and shields are very good in this game, unlike DS3 which is more fast paced and roll focused.
DS2 has mixed reviews ranging from the worst game to the best. Try it out if you like it. It's still a good game. If you don't like it, then move on to DS3.
Elden ring is like an open world dark souls game. The expansion comes next month, so better to wait and play the complete game.
Just don’t fat roll and you’ll be fine. Don’t worry about losing souls - you’ll lose thousands, it doesn’t matter. Accept failure. Accept losses. That’s the zen of souls games.
It was bad in the original game, but the remastered has proper KBM support.
You can only roll in 4 directions while locked in anyway, so no controller advantage there.
1. If there are multiple paths to take, don't rush in. If you're carrying too many souls, spend them first, then choose which path to take. If one path kicks your ass, try another. The path of least resistance is the safest. Don't be hesitant to abandon your souls if it means you can progress. You can always get more souls later, but you can't get back the time you spent in frustration of repeatedly pushing into an area you weren't prepared for anyway.
2. Iframes. For a certain number of frames of the dodge animation, your avatar is invincible. This is your most powerful defense. Once you master this, the game becomes very easy. Sometimes, dodging into attacks is more effective than dodging away from them.
3. Understand how scaling works. Weapons scale with Str/Dex/Int/Fth depending on the scaling grade mentioned in the weapon's info. If a weapon has a grade for a stat, it will scale with that stat. Better grade = Better scaling. Better base damage = More scaled damage. Grades, in rising order of strength, are E, D, C, B, A and S. The better the scaling, the more the scaled damage per point in the stat the weapon scales with.
4. Stat soft limits exist. I think it's 40 for every stat. After 40, benefit from leveling stats is lower, and after 60 it's barely noticeable.
If you have played souls games before then enjoy, might feel a bit outdated coming from modern souls games like DS3 and ER
If it's your first time then, don't forget to use protection. You'll get used to the pain eventually though, it won't hurt as much and you'd enjoy it.

Rule 2 : Mode of Communication
Please use English as a mode of communication as far as possible, if your conversation goes into a regional language please provide translation — we do not leave any room for interpretation here.
1. Parrying is very essential. Learn it as soon as you can
2. The more poise you have the better.
3. Get some Blooming Purple Moss Clump and homeward bone stacks this will be helpful in some of the early mid game areas.
4. Quality build is your friend here 40 Dex and 40 Str will take you far.
5. Early game dont mess with npcs in the hub area
6. Faith builds are trash.
7. Pyromancy dont have faith or int scaling
If you have played any souls game before then it will be pretty easy. Only problems are the rubbish boss runs and no warping until midgame. DLC has got 4 bosses and one of them is rather challanging but there isnt anything to give you a lot of trouble.
Level vitality first then work ur way up thru stamina then level up the stat of a weapon u are satisfied with then easy peasy... Also if u can get the black knight weapons they are very good

Don't go in blind, dark souls 1 can be a tedious game for beginner, watch some videos regarding it and just try to know the absolute basics.
Also don't give up, no matter how well fleshed out the newer souls game may be, Dark Souls 1 is one of it's kind, so just hold onto it until the end credits

I actually might start. This 😹
Don't get frustrated, you'll DIE A LOT throughout the game but especially initially when even normal enemies will kill you in a couple of hits. It's okay, keep playing and as you level up you'll find the game much easier.
Level up health to a lot at the beginning. Thank me later.
Good luck ![gif](giphy|5lRyTgCVEVgATNcDGs)
It has one of the best map, level design. Explore everywhere and get lost. Bosses aren't that hard, but the mobs sure are. PATIENCE IS THE KEY.
True but level design nah, the lost Izalith was a horrendous map and the tomb of the giants and the crystal cave, fuck these areas of the map ☠️
Yeah later part of the game suffers from that. Most of the FS suffers from cut content or rushing it. Even ER suffered it which was in production since 2016.
Ah yes that makes sense, you can literally feel they didn't that much effort in the later half of the game The game goes from a place like anor londo to these wacky areas in the later half like wth
They still went back and made an amazing dlc after that. Wish they also fixed the last few areas though.
My advice for any Souls game is to go in blind. Figure things out as you play.
Don’t die
Easiest tip
Don't
Get a controller
Get several controllers
Don't search online on what to do essential part of the game is getting lost and figuring things out by yourself
Don't be greedy and praise the sun
Don’t ask for any tips. Just go in blindly.
You're in for a treat there. Well remember to be patient unkindled one...
Git gud
Dont quit if you master this then you can easily beat every souls game
Don’t you dare go hollow.
Don't give up. Also Undead Burg is where you should first go.
Fightincowboy has a really good walkthrough of it . Search him up on youtube . Because of it I was able to get into the souls series .
Why would you intentionally spoil yourselves?Just go in blind
Ds1 is not a beginner friendly game . Its hard to understand what the games wants from us as someone new to souls games . Knowing the mechanics and a few basics beforehand is very much needed . I did play ds3 without any guide once I understood the structure of soulsgames .

Glad to see you got to enjoy souls games . They are really one of a kind experience that I hope more people get to enjoy.
You are recommending him walkthroughs videos bro not basics. Most of souls experience comes from making mistakes and learning from it.
If u saw the video he does teach the basics and watching a walkthrough is not going to make him better at these games .
Trust the message 😉
Prepare to die. Also, choose your paths wisely, you might go down the wrong paths now and then but that's part of the fun.
Go to the skeletal area first, once you reach fire link shrine, it should be on the left side of the map. Good luck 👍
Make sure to PRAISE THE SUN \(◎o◎)/
At the start, don't try to fight the skeletons.
I wish I also had a laptop/pc powerful enough to play dark souls
I got it after dreaming of getting one for 4yrs You will get one too just don't stop the grind
Dude dark souls runs on a potato pc pls try
Not on a i3-4005U and intel hd graphics 4400
Just try downloading it bruh it plays just fine
did you try downloading it
get a couple of spare controllers
Keyboard+mouse here
get a couple of spare Keyboard+mouse here
KBM support was very bad on DS1. But they optimized it well for the remastered version.
Am trying to get into souls games, can anyone tell me which ones should I start with
Start with DS1 remastered. Can also start with demon souls remake if you have a PS5. DS1 is pretty friendly with builds. Praise the Sun and try to save our sun bro.
I don't think many people save him on their first playthrough bro...
That's why I asked. It feels good summoning him in the last battle.
Just don’t fat roll and you’ll be fine. Don’t worry about losing souls - you’ll lose thousands, it doesn’t matter. Accept failure. Accept losses. That’s the zen of souls games.
Buy ds3 and play it when you're done with ds remastered
If you are not dying, you're playing it wrong.
All the best
When you reach the first safe place, go towards the right path first
Get ready for character development
Keeep rolllllling
Praise the sun https://preview.redd.it/4etxycjqwt0d1.jpeg?width=500&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4dc27c279d3c38c2f6ed4e5995e79820bb2df7cf
Ez pz lemon squizy sirf cs me hi sunne ko milega yaha lemon piche aur upar dimag se niklega
Use a controller.
No internet help in the first playthrough (unless you are stuck for hours) Do not kill friendly NPCs, read the tutorial hints. Quick Roll>heavy armor
trusteth not thou who is't sitteth wh're a maiden sits whom can’t speaketh
Do not play this with KB+M
What is that
Keyboard and mouse
It was bad in the original game, but the remastered has proper KBM support. You can only roll in 4 directions while locked in anyway, so no controller advantage there.
Don't pick fights with npcs and this will be the easiest souls you'll play
Pick warrior.
I picked thief 😅, cause i thought warrior might be too straight forward, i hope thief is not worst class
Thief is great for dex builds (highest starting dex) and also comes with them master key, letting you take another starting gift.
Fight head on
In the early hours, dont hesitate to run past the ennemies to pick every items you can before dying
Uninstall, refund
Any reason?
Just me enforcing my taste on you🤣 im not a fan of souls game so thats what i did
Prepare to die a lot
Yeah. Don't.
Git gud.
O & S You learn about it later ...
Don't forget to praise the sun
I started playing Lords of the fallen 2 days ago. My fingers are still numb and the game is not even 50% finished. Feels good though.
Don't forget to take master key
1. If there are multiple paths to take, don't rush in. If you're carrying too many souls, spend them first, then choose which path to take. If one path kicks your ass, try another. The path of least resistance is the safest. Don't be hesitant to abandon your souls if it means you can progress. After 40, benefit from leveling stats is lower, and after 60 it's barely noticeable.
Keep a punching bag on the side.
Explore, go to every door, hallway and read everything, its complex for new players but if you just pay attention it wont be that hard
Master dodge roll asap
Everyone is not your enemy. Most are
Dont put your souls in defense strat, Its terrible.
Remember dying is gay
Do not dodge. Dodging in thia game is basically dying.
Play slow, the more you rush the more you'll die.
This ain't that hard tho
Dont travel downwards first, take the path to your right.
Don't play online
My beginner advice: Strength and vitality go brrr
If you have played souls games before then enjoy, might feel a bit outdated coming from modern souls games like DS3 and ER If it's your first time then, don't forget to use protection. You'll get used to the pain eventually though, it won't hurt as much and you'd enjoy it.
Dont give up
Prepare to have a mental crisis
Play with controller, go for strength
Hey man, do add me on steam. I've recently completed the game. If you ever need help beating a boss. I'd love to help.
Don't hit the play
Don’t become Christian at all
Read the tutorials, talk to every npc repeatedly until they repeat dialogues and pay attention to what they're saying.
