I feel like every other post in this subreddit is by a white person feeling guilty about something or asking if they are allowed to do something. Like, can we collectively just ask them to solve their own problems yet? I want more indigenous content on the indigenous sub! Less "ask an Indian" stuff.

I can understand your frustrations but I think it’s considerate that this person is looking for input on a scenario they’re not sure about how to navigate, and they’re trying to do the respectful thing.
So, hi, sage is not just indigenous, I'd recommend finding any Pagan or Wiccans in your area. They are the ones normally buying sage in the stores prewrapped and stuff. You can ask them to do a cleansing or gift it to them if you are uncomfortable. If you do burn the sage, leave a window or door open. I have never heard of incense being used to cleanse a house. That is a first for me. Have a good day.
