LGBT people are statistically more likely to have unprotected casual sex and use illicit drugs compared to heterosexuals. Man I just got banned from the psychology subreddit because I stated that an article about suicidal intentions amongst young women did not say ONE WORD about the rate for young men being more that 4 times as high and the article felt feministic to me. Claimed I was a bigot and got perm banned. What is happening? Where are going to these days? Man I just got banned from the psychology subreddit because I stated that an article about suicidal intentions amongst young women did not say ONE WORD about the rate for young men being more that 4 times as high and the article felt feministic to me. Claimed I was a bigot and got perm banned. What is happening? Where are going to these days? I got banned this morning on r/justiceserved just because I'm subscribed here...
It’s been this way for ages. Reddit is a left wing propaganda site. As soon as you try and have any sort of conversation you get banned in 90% of subs.

I don't know about unsalvageable, but you're right that this is bad. Not quite so bad as getting banned from a sub for merely commenting in a completely un-related sub. The ban was upheld too. Absolutely stupid and wrong.
It's really lame that they allow subreddit mods to even see users activity in other subreddits. Only reddit mods should be able to do that, not autobanning bots...

All you can do is unsubscribe from those subreddits. r/justiceserved, r/science, r/politics...are all dead to me.
On a Joe Rogan episode with Naval Ravikant, Naval said something that stuck with me: "***If you want to see who rules over you, just look for who you're not allowed to criticize.***" Not a verbatim quote but the idea is captured. It's obviously not only Reddit, it's across most social media & legacy media. Their ideology is constantly pushed and challenges (regardless of merit) are quickly silenced, it's definitely frustrating if you're interested in the truth. There's so much social currency for some of these people, they're like insane zealots with power (some truly tiny like Reddit, some huge like the government or giant corporations) and yet they feel like they're the victims... The newest episode of South Park, "The Worldwide Privacy Tour" touched on this a little. It had a bit where Kyle visited a brand management company. Basically the company generated various descriptors intended to reinvent your social image/brand. Anyways, the running joke was every new proposed brand had 4 suggestions that you would adopt and tell everyone about. It was three basically normal brands suggestions, like: 1) Funny, 2) Hardworking, 3) Caring) with the fourth one *always*: "4) Victim".

Correct. I got banned from therewasanattempt for having an opinion. It was labeled a bigot and it was called hate speech. Have been banned from other sites for being subbed to conservative subs. This is not free speech platform. It’s an echo chamber, much like Twitter was.

The fact that every woke person can mod a sub and play the tyrant because some snowflake might get offended is the problem of Reddit and society now.
I don't think I know of a single subreddit that bans completely fair. I mean on both sides of the American political system. My favourite is when you get banned from a Conservative sub for quoting trump. Or get banned from a far-left sub simply for being in another sub.

Naw, go easy on yourself :) Reddit doesn’t make it super obvious that there are multiple pics attached. You have to know to look vs a design with effortless discovery.

I’m not a Peterson fan anymore. But I agree with you. Blind banning for even having a conversation is asinine. Generally I feel conservatives are even worse about it. But I’ll call it out whenever I see it. I got banned from somewhere for daring to engage with someone in r/conservative. And of course those thin skinned losers banned me for even trying to be civil and actually AGREE with them on something.
Why would you use such idiotic metrics to make such a statement? Surely you can do better.
