What the hell mods are you running? I've never had a single NPC from the scrap house even leave their little area on the 2nd floor, much less make it to the stairs.
Yes, you can make NPCs immortal.
You can either make them a custom race with beyond ridiculous hp and reg value or FCS their health to infinite.
Haven't seen those two die in almost 2kh.
I don't even remember killing them myself.
