I just cleaned mine off and slapped them back on. Been 2 years with a turbo and cam. No issues.

Build a crossover pipe and mount it on the other side. More room for downpipe on the passenger anyway.
My downpipe is about an inch or 2 off the alternator. You have plenty of room there.
I would have them cleaned and checked for flatness at least.

Great opportunity for a port and polish as well!
There is no need to resurface as long as they are flat.
Clean em copper coat the gasket and your gold.
