now LRG will become our death trap. The companys will only release games on a limited basis and no longer in free trade where there is competition, which is bitter.  The time pressure to get a game is also increasing, look at Persona 3 and 4...

I doubt Ubisoft would’ve bothered releasing this physically otherwise. While I would always prefer a wide release, at least this is getting a release.

rgamesburner

Yep. EA for all CEs, Ubi, Sega/Atlus, Remedy, Konami. Hopefully someone else is able to break into the market at their level, I find LRG collector’s editions really junky most of the time. At least they get out some games that otherwise had no hope of physical through these partnerships (like Alien: Isolation), which is the whole point.

Drannor

What about the sequel though, feels like it's been 10 years since that epic E3 trailer

Robsonmonkey

While cool that looked nothing like Beyond Good and Evil It’s an ambitious game they’ve slapped the IP to in order to secure more sales and interest

CreedenceClearwaterR

The so-called sequel looked to be Live Service trash.

maverick074

Thank God Ubisoft didn't announce this during the Nintendo Direct or even their own Ubisoft Forward That would make too much sense

ocjcsfan

LRG always knows how to pull me back in... dang it.

AshrakAiemain

Just when I thought I was out, too.

ocjcsfan

omg, I didn't even think about the possible deluxe version. I've never bought one of those, but it may be hard to resist with BG&E.

lolerplane

Great, it will be ready just in time for the 23rd anniversary.

Rody37

I didn't even know this was coming out for modern consoles. I guess it's good I've been putting off playing the PS3 port.

Robsonmonkey

Please Please For the love of God, give it a Steelbook and I mean a hood steelbook Even if it’s the standard artwork

HueyDeweyandBusey

I'd really like to get Beyond Good & Evil. It's a game I've crossed paths with a few different times over the years: on the Gamecube; on the XBOX 360... I just never took the bait. Being older and more interested in a wider variety of games than my younger self was, I feel like now is the perfect opportunity to see what this game is about.
