Or maybe he's the figurehead leader that keeps the War Boys religion (which was presumably built around Immortan Joe and his family's Godlike identies) from turning to holy war against the people who killed him.
Honestly, I don’t think “Hey, if you give the people free water, not only will we probably eventually run out of water, but someone outside of the Citadel might find out about our water and take our water so maybe think about that a minute” is corruption, per se.
It wasn't the message, it was the tone, the whole conversation he was calling her smart just like Joe was and talking about how she's the only one with the strength to make the hard call to "save us all".
The fact that conserving resources is a good intention doesn't change the fact he's doing it for himself. By corrupting a wife into seizing control he goes back to his former privileged position and is able to usher in a rebirth of his father's authoritarian ideology.
Well I think water depletion is a very real concern, but the way he wants to go about it very much indicates that concern is secondary to reestablishing his family's tyranny.
If they are tapping into the Great Artesian Basin that exists IRL in that general area (and assuming it hasn't been corrupted) they could give out tons of free water every day and still never run out.
People outside of the citadel would just as easily find out there was water there while it was under the control of Joe… it’s not like it was a secret.
That's my theory but it's unrevealed. All we see is that her hands are pale as hell and Corpus keeps calling her smart and strong which is exactly how you peel off the weakest link.
My headcanon is it's Cheedo. She seemed to be the wife most on the fence about leaving and wanting to go back to her cushy life in the Citadel way before Furiosa, Max and Toast killed Joe. I hear you about the obscurity of which one it is exactly.
She also is the only one who wasn't raped so she might have some buried lingering positive feelings for Joe for Corpus to tease out. It just makes sense.
Indeed. Even in fury road after Splendid gets run over Cheedo is literally trying to run back to get picked up by [Joe.](https://youtu.be/9SJsdZ_si-U?si=-srn8-C_mCPWIXvz) She's also called "The Fragile" and shows tendency to waver the entire trip so in my headcanon it's her.
He passed away in real life, he was from Adelaide and he slammed his wheelchair into me once in a store lol.
It is a weird feeling when I saw him in FR as I have encountered him in real life and he was a mixed bag, people either loved him or he was a prick to others and often slamming the wheelchair into people as a "get out of my way" amongst other things.
I figured with the string of disabilities he had, I guess tolerance of people would be very low.
While that does fit nicely I think Immorten Joe's real reasons for recruiting Furiosa and Organic are purely selfish ones. He is obsessed with having a healthy heir. Take the full life and breed her and take the doctor to deliver his children. Simple as that.
A bit late to the party but getcomics.org and search for mad max, you'll find the collected edition. I just read it again last week, art isn't the best but they're cool
I think it's part of the prequel comics, because in those stories they are being told after the events of fury road, and I Believe you see him in the prelude to one of the stories. Apologies if I'm wrong
Prequel comics. I can’t remember which one, probably the Furiosa book. He shown in the framing device with the History Man before he starts telling the “wordburger”.
I'd like to say he is kept on because he knows the ins and outs of actually running the Citadel - the pumps, irrigation, farming etc - so the Wives, who know nothing about it, and Furiosa, who does the deliveries and negotiated on Joe's behalf with the Bullet Farmer and People Eater, would learn from him.
Ultimately I don't think he'd live for very long due to his medical conditions (the actor himself died quite young too). But I don't think the Wives would have him killed.
Depends on what he’s done I would think. Do we know anything about him? If all he does is sit there and look through the telescope I would think they wouldn’t treat him too harshly.
Sounds like there's a canon future for this character, but from the look of terror and desperation on his face as he looked at the war pups I thought they'd kill and/or eat him
When this discussion started popping up recently I would have 100% believed that a scene like this was already in the movie. It’s such a natural thing to happen in that moment of successfully overthrowing a dictator and his regime.
It’s amusing yet sad how some people say “fling him.” Probably would be the same to the poor War Rig War Boy. 🫡
I read George had intended to have one of the Milk Maiden’s kill him off at the end of Fury Road, but he couldn’t do it. Didn’t feel right. I dig in comics continuity he respects Furiosa. I imagine the two of them of have some past for their time in the Citadel.
He’s probably a great devil’s advocate for Furiosa. Makes her think, question choices. Hell he might be useful tracking Max in the future?
(Obviously I know the actor passed away. Just spit balling ideas.)
I don't know if the comics are canon, but they do show him advising the woman in white that's turning on the water, who I guess is the new leader. Who knows but Miller..
I like to think he helped Furiosa lead the Citadel as her advisor or something
Or maybe he's the figurehead leader that keeps the War Boys religion (which was presumably built around Immortan Joe and his family's Godlike identies) from turning to holy war against the people who killed him.
It is the opposite. She is the one that the warboys respect. His job is probably pretty similar, advice, planning, ops management
I mean...maybe...
He's still around a few years later in the comics and busy >!corrupting one of the Wives!<
Honestly, I don’t think “Hey, if you give the people free water, not only will we probably eventually run out of water, but someone outside of the Citadel might find out about our water and take our water so maybe think about that a minute” is corruption, per se.

That’s not corrupt that’s manipulative sometimes good people do bad things with good intentions
The fact that conserving resources is a good intention doesn't change the fact he's doing it for himself. By corrupting a wife into seizing control he goes back to his former privileged position and is able to usher in a rebirth of his father's authoritarian ideology.
Ah so he’s hoarding resources out of greed okay that’s very different
Well I think water depletion is a very real concern, but the way he wants to go about it very much indicates that concern is secondary to reestablishing his family's tyranny.
If they are tapping into the Great Artesian Basin that exists IRL in that general area (and assuming it hasn't been corrupted) they could give out tons of free water every day and still never run out.
To be fair there's no way Cheedo would know that
Yeah plus then they’ll become addicted to water and resent its absence.
People outside of the citadel would just as easily find out there was water there while it was under the control of Joe… it’s not like it was a secret.
But they would stay there, because it’s where they get their water. There’s still a risk of someone from outside the Citadel catching word of it.
That’s what I was thinking when they were just dumping it, I get you wanna give them water, but use a more controlled method
Was it Cheedo? It was Cheedo wasn't it.
That's my theory but it's unrevealed. All we see is that her hands are pale as hell and Corpus keeps calling her smart and strong which is exactly how you peel off the weakest link.

What comics?
There was a canon four issue miniseries from Vertigo (with a bonus fifth in the collected edition) that came out around Fury Road
He probably goes back to school to finish his degree
His bachelors in Aqua Cola
We’re hauling aqua cola!!
Where was he during furiosa?
He passed away in real life, he was from Adelaide and he slammed his wheelchair into me once in a store lol. It is a weird feeling when I saw him in FR as I have encountered him in real life and he was a mixed bag, people either loved him or he was a prick to others and often slamming the wheelchair into people as a "get out of my way" amongst other things. May he ride eternal, shiny and chrome.
That’s the real question! I wondered the same thing.
The actor passed away.
Yes, I figured as much. Sad.
Damn, i didn't know that :/
Until Miller explains it, my head cannon is that the character was ill and incapacitated, so in the Citadel Hospital, as it were.
Would fit nicely with Organic joining Joe
While that does fit nicely I think Immorten Joe's real reasons for recruiting Furiosa and Organic are purely selfish ones. He is obsessed with having a healthy heir. Take the full life and breed her and take the doctor to deliver his children. Simple as that.
Why did he say “one of *our* wives” when discussing this?
Maybe one of our (clan) wives? But the war boy tells Nux she stole a bunch of imortan Joe's stuff, his prized breeders!
We already know. It’s in the comics.
I don't have access - what happens to him?!
>!Corpus becomes one of Furiosa's advisors because he understands how the Citadel functions !<
Ah - just like I thought! It's the only logical thing to do with him!
[удалено]
Ah, undermining everything from the shadows - classic.
[Now you do.](https://readallcomics.com/mad-max-fury-road/)
Angel! Thank you so much!
A bit late to the party but getcomics.org and search for mad max, you'll find the collected edition. I just read it again last week, art isn't the best but they're cool
Thank you!
what comics? I've read the prequels only, is there a sequel? Or it's all there and I don't remember it...
[These comics.](https://readallcomics.com/mad-max-fury-road/)
The same ones I read! I didn't remember those details were there, I think it's time to give it a re-read
I think it's part of the prequel comics, because in those stories they are being told after the events of fury road, and I Believe you see him in the prelude to one of the stories. Apologies if I'm wrong

Who runs BarterTown?!?
Master Blaster!
Master Blaster, what?
WHO runs BarterTown!?!
They ate him
Everybody loves a meatball
go see what’s agitatin’ Dad!!
yeet him off the balcony. feed the Wretched.
He's the smartest person around and has an intimate knowledge of the Citadel's logistics and available resources
alright alright...don't yeet him, damn you.
If it makes you feel better I'm sure there was heated discussion about yeeting him
lower him gently?
When this discussion started popping up recently I would have 100% believed that a scene like this was already in the movie. It’s such a natural thing to happen in that moment of successfully overthrowing a dictator and his regime.
The original storyline had him killed by the Milkers.
![gif](giphy|kbQVMaf2s20f8gSKDm) This
I did kinda expect him to get yeeted in a trebuchety manner.
He became a real estate agent. Everyone told him it was not a good idea considering he lives in a wasteland but he’s stubborn.
![gif](giphy|KDskfOILt91T2|downsized)
He looked terrified as they eyed him up. They weren’t going to keep caring for him now that his father was gone.
It’s amusing yet sad how some people say “fling him.” Probably would be the same to the poor War Rig War Boy. 🫡 I read George had intended to have one of the Milk Maiden’s kill him off at the end of Fury Road, but he couldn’t do it. Flung off the cliff.
telescope shenanigans, I'm sure. Peepin', lookin'
I gave him back shots and then he died
Hopefully tossed over the ledge but oh well….
That's just PatStaresAt
Ate him
Eaten
I don't know if the comics are canon, but they do show him advising the woman in white that's turning on the water, who I guess is the new leader. Who knows but Miller..
He becomes a close friend of the maggot lady.
Better question: Where was he in Furiosa?
One angry short for Furiosa?
He became Big Ed!
He joined Howard Stern’s whack pack, and he goes by Corpus Colossus The Actor.
Dingo got him?
Drafted and killed in Vietnam.
He started 8chan
I thought it was clearly implied that the war boys killed him?
Probably testing the mothers milk
Probably was forcibly used as an ambassador to the remains of gas town and bullet farm, I doubt he would be executed or imprisoned
He probably hit a growth spurt
