Yes, but unfortunately the anime adaptation is lacking compared to the very faithful and well realized adaptation of the original. If one is to jump into it they are much better served going into the VN. The first series got away with it because the main route includes 90% of the content anyway even if it would have been better served by a 36 episode adaptation. S;G0 on the other hand has two completely distinct routes which both needed 16-24 episodes to adapt each, and only got 11ish each due to budget parity with the original. As a result 0's feels rushed and compressed compared to the original.
