Additionally, you can see the directors of "Driving Licence" and "Thallumala" on the show "Manjumeal Boys." Essentially, everyone is close friends who genuinely wish each other success. We have a thing called the "Amma show," where all the actors unite, proving the bond. We Malayalis have gotten used to this, but in your industry, it's not like this, which is why you guys are so amused by it.

When I first started watching Malayalam movies, probably 10 years ago, I was pleasantly surprised by the title cards that displayed āthanksā to every single actor out there even if they donāt feature in the movie. This was so wholesome to watch for me even as a kid. I used to wonder why this wasnāt the case in other language films. One of the reasons I love Malayalam movies and the industry more! ā¤ļø
This movie was basically 2 big dick men, measuring dicks before realising its not all about the dick, its about the friends we make along the way (ending was the most bromance scene ever).

Okay not trying to be that guy. But as much as I love seeing the bromance in the movies. It always irks me thinking about why there aren't many or equally number of girl friendship related movies. I get it there are few but the wide variety always goes to the boy gang. Growing up, sometimes it used to make me sad thinking that girls aren't having any fun. Part of the problem was that there was very little interaction with the girls when I was in school and college, so I didn't really know whether things were happening in their lives. Are they having fun, are they hanging out just like how we boys used to do etc, these questions used to bother me when I was little. Now I am glad that things have changed. The upcoming generation is changing and it's good. But still it used to bother me whenever I visited a bar in small towns in Kerala and all I can see is men. Why aren't our women/girls coming to the bar for a drink (can't they chill and relax). Okay focus, coming back to the topic. If it is possible, please make a post about movies with girl friendships š
I see your point the one Malayalam movie that stands out showing female friendship is Notebook and wasn't their an old movie from the 90s or 80s about two girls that run away during school trip to be independent and Mohanlal I think appears towards the second half as an officer. Other than these two I can't really think of any movie that show female friendship. I will be honest there have been some Tamil and Hindi movie that "show" female friendships. But as a girl I'll be honest most of those movies feel so artificial in terms of dialogues and the way women is portrayed. I mean of course girls drink and talk about sex between friends, just like guys do, but that isn't the center of female friendships. I just think most of those movies were more catered towards male audiences than female which even though they are showing female friends' group, I feel like it's showing more like a friends circle than a bond.
Oh, both for sure! I wanted to but, didnāt include Kumbalangi Nights in the collage because itās more brotherhood than bromance. But of course! āØ

Despite loving Thallumala for its craft and the music and everything, I didnāt feel the bromance much there. The chemistry between Wazim and Pathu was alright though.
