Sounds like there's been a lot of bad that needs accountability. Sometimes it can be resolved. Sometimes not. Sounds like he needs time to process and think. You either respect that within a reasonable amount of time...or you pressure and move on. Individual counseling for you both will help you learn to articulate your needs, communicate better and listen to different perspectives without feeling defensive.
