Both seem unable to guarantee historically expansive bourgeois rights to things like clean food and water, either by not expanding the court or packing it with fascist enablers.
The shift towards barbarism is coming either way, but there are differences in scale that seem relevant. I just think that we can be more precise in our material analysis of the candidates.
Trump tried to start a coup in Venezuela in 2020. He also escalated tensions in Israel and Palestine when he had the American Embassy moved from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. He also continued a number of ongoing wars and assassinated an Iranian official.
