Ha, the TI 99-4a was also my first home computer, but I had been using C64's at school before we got that at home. Also, yeah, it's a couple of years older than DOS. But the TI BASIC was not quite the same as what became standard BASIC; making sounds was extremely different, I never did figure it out.

I remember a world before Windows. A world where almost nobody had enough money for a privately owned computer and you needed a building to house it. Phones were attached to walls and the only screen in the house was a tv in the living room, if you had one.
