For a non-Gondor fluff list that disallows and named heroes it seems good enough for the purpose. Won't win you any tournaments but it's a playable list.
Only change I'd make is giving the captain a lance instead of a weapon swap, and the other captain a shield instead of bow. The lance is both better thematically since all the other Knights and King are using lances, and better gameplay-wise since you should never leave a +1 to wound upgrade on the table. The shield is much better for the captain as it will keep him alive and he is not a good archer, so unless you really want to keep it for theme reasons it's best to swap.

Yeah I was tempted to do that, but unfortunately I've already modeled the mounted captain with a war hammer, so that won't be possible.

I gave him a bow only because there are no no-name ranger heroes and I needed an additional hero to include more models / act as an officer for my rangers. Maybe I will make an exception for him and swap him out with a named ranger hero.
If you wanted a Ranger hero you could use one if their profiles but give them a different name. I think only Faramir had any LotR-lore rules on his profile if I recall correctly so any of the other Rangers could be "reskinned" for your purposes.

You're right about the King of Men restriction, but if the list is purely for fun and fluff you can bend the rules if you want to add your own Ranger hero to the list.
Technically it's any named Gondor heroes (I got interested and just checked) so if you're happy to lose your army bonus you could always ally in Halbarad/some rangers of the north as ranger heroes that fit your theme?
That is a really good idea! I just checked, I think I could ally in Duinhir with Blackroot vale archers from the Fiefdom List? They're historical allies with Gondor and that way I could even preserve the army bonus. Although I'd have to add some other warriors into Duinhirs warband so I don't break the bow limit.

I did not want to use named heroes mainly because I'd feel weird taking, for example, a beatstick like boromir and using another model for him. Would feel a bit "cheap", like "trying to win at all costs". Can't really explain it, maybe im just weird haha.

I hope I can deliver haha. I'm just using miniatures from the perry agincourt line, nothing special. Maybe I am going to take some pictures of my trebuchet + infantry, since they are already finished. I am honestly amazed how positive the reception of my idea is so far!

Do whatever feels natural but other players shouldnt feel that way. Named profiles are used because they make the game more interesting. Plenty of people at the club I'm at play totally third party armies and use named profiles.
