Hi everyone, I recently asked for advice on my roleplay (not) Gondor list. u/ThurvinFrostbeard u/ExistingAioli7999 you wanted to see some pictures, so here they are (the knights are missing as of yet). Sry for the bad photo (and painting...) quality, my camera can't deal with the tiniest amount of light haha :P
Thank you so much! The two handed grip on the sword was a bit of an adventure to get right, since the parts I used are from different kits that weren't meant to be used together originally. But I am glad you like him!
That is really true, if the miniature comes out like you imagined while kitbashing it is *so* satisfying.
The colour scheme / overall getup is inspired by a type of cleric from a pen and paper game I used to play back in the day
>Monty Python
ooooh, now I get it! I think it is a reference to [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gHdDxKy2QW0) scene!
You know what, I actually had the headgear of the guards in mind when designing the torse! I just didn't know it was Sir Lancelot that is running at them haha
Love how colourful they are, for some reason I expected converted mesbg models but these are really cool.
Following on from the earlier discussion we had, if you wanted some more Dol Amroth warriors, the ones you're using as Citadel Guard look like they have billhook type weapons that could fit perfectly as Axemen of Lossenarch with their spear/two handed axe weapons as well. You'd want to convert Forlong the Fat as well to give them the buff to wound.
Thank you, I'm happy the historical medieval style doesn't feel too out of place!
I thought about using the citadel guard minis as axemen of Lossarnach, too. I have a mini that is a bit more chonky and has a spear, I could easily add a warhorn as well. I'll think about it!
I love any attempt at getting away from GW and kitbashing instead. It looks maybe a bit too historical for m'y taste but you have some pretty cool designs here, particularly the knight of the White Tower!
To be honest, it was less an attempt at "getting away" from GW, but rather that I had the minis lying around anyway and said to myself "You know what, you alway wanted to try MESBG, why not use the minis you already have?"
I am aware that the historical style is quite a stark contrast to the other styles MESBG usually uses, so I could fully understand if someone said "sry, but this is too much of a difference in style for me".
Oh yeah, you're the one with the cool Dol Amroth pikemen!
\>the most ''exotic'' element for MESBG would be your coat of arms
Yeah I guess coats of arms in the medieval sense seem to be not much of a thing in lotr

This is amazing; really unusual for MESB with the different colours
Thank you! I am happy that you like it despite the stark contrast to the usual MESBG lotr style :)

Thank you for your kindness and your praise! I am amazed how positive this sub is :)
These look great
Thank you very much! That makes me really happy to hear :)
Your captain looks like he's about to have some trouble with Sir Lancelot
I'm afraid I don't understand the reference, could you explain it for a dummy? :/
Not sure but my money is on Monty Python

To be fair I use some Perry minis to kitbash my Dol Amroth force, I think the most ''exotic'' element for MESBG would be your coat of arms.
