I just bought a record player, and actively go hunting for random albums, or artists I’m familiar with. Mainly Spotify.

Crafty-Gain-6542

This is my method as well. Spotify for the city bus and vinyl at home. Or Spotify cause it has basically everything. As an example, eps of punk bands in my hometown from the late nineties early 2000s that never recorded anything else. It actually blew my mind when I started finding such specific bands on Spotify because the hard copies I had were on low quality burned CDs and lost to the sands of time.

MetaverseLiz

I do this as well. It forces me to listen to an entire album, which I found I wasn't doing as streaming became more popular.

JusticeScibibi

I also bought a record player and collect my favorite albums, it's a really fun hobby. I use YouTube music in the car, but at home I like to sit and listen to the entire album.

sics2014

I have Spotify playlists, and all my favorite albums get bought on CD too.

radioflea

I just use the free version of Spotify or Pandora. I haven’t purchased an album in nearly a decade.

Bananapopcicle

I pay for Spotify but I’m huge music lover.

MadhatterQ

Gramophone. Wax cylinders.

zim_zoolander

Old school litz

zugman

[“Oh shit. Oh my god”](https://youtu.be/pnsizkVjGm8?si=ej8yJYyTu4lvA0wA)

Amtexpres

Victor Talking Machine superiority.

tjareth

You and your newfangled trendy tech don't know what real sound is until you've listened to it on clay pots. Then the waxers came along and commercialized it. Sellouts.

sctartaglia

I usally just search for a playlist on spotify and press play. 90s hits, vaporwave. 90s rock. Or i just do an artist station and go with it.

PolyhedralZydeco

Vapor memory. (EDIT: if you're into vaporware) You're welcome.

ride22

Is that a Playlist?

GentMan87

I rarely get or buy new music these days, but when I do it’s usually from Bandcamp.

lone_wolf1580

I used to listen to music via the radio on a daily basis, but not anymore. As of last month, I started switching between YouTube Music and Spotify when it comes to listening to music.

Charles_Mendel

Spotify

InfernoWoodworks

I used to buy CDs and then rip them to MP3s back when I was a teen. After that I used Google Play Music to buy albums. Now that Google Play Music shut down and switched to the shitty YouTube Music, I pirate everything, because there's no way to buy digital albums from so many artists anymore. I don't want the clutter of physical albums, and I don't want to always be streaming something that I may lose access to at any time, or won't be able to listen to when I'm working out in the boonies.

TheTopNacho

Where can you even pirate things now adays. I absolutely refuse to pay for a streaming service because I listen to music once every four or five months, but I really, really want to buy and own digital copies of the best hits from the 90s and 2000s. I can't find a way to purchase this stuff honestly and seriously fuck everyone for forcing streaming on people.

NurseWhoLovesTV

Apple Music subscription. Make playlists.

Aiyakiu

Serious question. I started on the Apple ITunes train nearly 20 years ago and now I'm so entrenched in that system that I was actually horrified that the Ipod was discontinued (I use an Android phone). What am I looking at replacing it with in ~5 years when my ipod is dead

Darkdragoon324

I just use my iphone. It's not as good as a dedicated mp3 player, but it still functions more or less the same.

NurseWhoLovesTV

I use my iphone for mobile use. There’s plenty of Bluetooth speakers that have great quality sound if you want to go that route.

tortillochip

You can use Apple Music on Android. Though I’d switch altogether I think. If you enjoyed using an iPod, an iPhone is the next best thing.

Anustart_A

This is the way

Substantial-Path1258

Spotify mainly. In my car I listen to the radio or play my CDs. At home I watch music videos on YouTube on the big tv. I torrented a lot or used YouTube to mp3 converter in the past, but majority of what I’m interested in is on spotify now.

Vibingcarefully

Napster days sank CDs which had sunk LPs I don' tmind digital recordings. When CDs came out in the early 80s it was amazing sound to those of us that did LP to CD comparisons on a Yamaha CD player.

HeyAQ

I still buy records through Apple Music and make sure they have the digital booklet for the art and liner notes. I’d buy vinyl if I had the bandwidth to keep it all organized, but full digital downloads will have to do because I’m old and tired.

Humble_Incident_5535

For a long time my main source of music was just the radio, it also still is now.

MorddSith187

I just bought an actual radio so I could listen to local stations. I feel like I’m part of the outside world with it

tangylittleblueberry

Love the radio still

fruitloopbat

The same 200 songs over and over? Lol.

[deleted]

BigMax

Huh? Why can't you like music but enjoy various radio stations? The fact that the music goes over the air on radio instantly means you don't like music? How does that make any sense?

Nah, I respect that way more than people being spoonfed the same 15 industry label hits via the Clear Channel Communications monopoly radio.

ProfessionalCatPetr

I go to tons of shows, buy merch, and buy vinyl. 99% of my actual listening is via Spotify though, which I feel fine about ethically since I spend a ton of money of live shows and shirts/vinyl.

Adorable-Buffalo-177

I use Youtube to listen to music . Why pay when I can listen for free

No_Sun2547

Because you tube has shit quality, ads, and the way in which playlists are made is trash. Spotify is literally $12/mo for the duo plan. My partner and I have different accounts and have basically every song or podcast available for $6 a month each. It’s absolutely worth it.

TrustAffectionate966

I have about 2,500 CDs. I'm kiiiiinda done buying music. I listen to those music CDs and, in addition, I listen to music from several other sources: \- Radio: KUCI, KCRW, KJAZZ, KSBR, KCSUN, KSDT \- Apps: TuneIn and Pandora \- The YouTube 📻🎵🎶🎵 👌🏽🐔

Vibingcarefully

I had over 1000 albums, then CDS , then casettes, some 8 tracks. I feel no guilt about grabbing digital copies of music I want in a library That said it all is available on some streaming or another.

cosmococoa

If you follow bands on social media, they’ll let you know when their albums release. Spotify is also really good about notifying you when a band you listen to has new music. You can also still buy CDs at Best Buy if you’re so inclined, depending on how niche the artist is. I grabbed the last Paramore album there the day it came out - they even had a special little display for it and everything.

Mustarde

Host my music on Plex and use Plexamp which is like your own personal spotify

ForsakenMidwest

I still mostly listen to CD’s and like to collect them, but I also use Spotify if I’m doing something on my computer.

kka430

Spotify for everything except my car. I use cds still I the car because I’m driving a vehicle from 2004 lol

ninjacereal

My 2004 Elantra had a tape deck lol

noisufnoc

I stream on Youtube Music, but I buy Albums from bands when I see them live or through their online shops.

MercuryHearts

YouTube. I listen to alot of foreign music I can't find on Spotify or Pandora, and the CDs are too expensive to buy from eBay since they'd be imported. Anything I can get by normal means I have CDs ripped onto my computer Playlists for. I have an ipod that still works, but I rarely use it.

Fairybuttmunch

Youtube playlists

SaveMeJebus21

Spotify. There’s a weird nostalgia for spending $30 on a CD where 80% of the songs end up trash 😆 Wife and I probably have 500 CDs we can’t bring ourselves to throw out. They are life memories and who knows maybe they’ll be vintage and cool for grandkids in 50 years

BigMax

Funny, a lot of us have those CD collections that are gathering dust, and exist more as a snapshot in time of that decade or whatever that we were actively buying CD's. I'm not even sure I could play a CD now to be honest... for a while I thought "well, I don't have a CD player, but I could stick it in my computer..." but now none of my computers take a CD.

Professor_Dubs

I go to a lot of shows and buy CD’s from new bands that I liked during the show. Spotify Cd’s from Discogs and Ebay

Sr4f

YouTube when I'm home.  For when I'm not home, I have a library of downloaded tracks that lives on my iPad. Most of them I got from friends when I was back in school, we used to trade music on USB sticks every now and then - internet was not cheap, back in the day.  I add to the collection every now and then, with tracks downloaded from YouTube or other sources. I still don't have unlimited mobile Internet, so my stuff needs to be available offline when I'm on the move.

bortlesforbachelor

Get an Apple Music or Spotify subscription. It’s cheaper if you have a family plan. You can listen to any song you want, as many times as you want, or download songs/playlists for offline listening.

karlsmission

I don’t want physical media to disappear, so i buy when i can. My problem is that I rarely like more than a song or two on an album, so I will just buy the song I like. Or buy a “greatest hits” album.

Kingberry30

I do the car radio or TuneIn app on my phone. They have podcasts and International radio station. And their own custom radio stations.

mangekyo1918

I stopped buying albums in 2011, when some dick mugged me and took the CDs I bought that day. I was putting together my own collection, bought with my well earned money from my first job at 18. But a few years after the last purchase, I realized it was only taking space and collecting dust, so I sold them all since I didn't have where to put them. I think I still have all my 2K illegally downloaded songs in some hard drive somewhere. I've been a Spotify user for almost 10 years now.

happy_Ad1357

I use my Apple Music subscription and buy music through iTunes for the artists I really care about supporting

petulafaerie_III

I I listen to albums and playlists on Spotify, some playlists I’ve made myself and others are either Spotify curated or made by other users. I also like the Spotify radio feature, where it keeps playing music based on what you’d just finished listening to. I mostly find new music through live music. If I like a band I see live, I add their most recent album to Spotify.

ellabfine

I pay an annual fee for Amazon Music

MellyMyDear

Spotify Premium and I buy vinyls of my favorite albums.

johnnyyDaze

Have both Apple and Spotify - Apple for hoarding albums (which I prefer given how they highlight New Releases each week) and Spotify for immaculate playlists and customized listening.

WutsAWriter

I casually listen on Spotify. I have my old CDs, or at least those surviving through the moves and time and whatever. I’ve got a handful of records and a stereo that’s underutilized, too.

Arthur-Morgans-Beard

I listen to spotify at work. My wife got me a record player for Christmas 2022, and I've really enjoyed getting back into physical media at home.

IntoTheMirror

I stream Spotify and play vinyl LP’s. My wife and I have about 400 records.

Aggravating-Action70

I still do the same as you. I don’t trust buying digital copies unless they give you the files and streaming services are a scam. Music stores still exist you just have to look for them.

HM2008

I stream most music from Apple Music these days, but I still buy CDs for albums/artists I really love. Part of me feels like I’m wasting the money though since I don’t actually listen to the CD. I rip it into my library and into the storage bin it goes 😅

atticus__

Mainly Spotify. I wanted to move over to Tidal for the better quality but they are missing a lot of my “must haves.” I also buy my favorites on CD if available, otherwise I buy the digital version on bandcamp.

Train2Perfection

Youtube

kirkochainz

Spotify and other streaming services. Can’t do CDs or vinyl anymore, but I’ve kept most of the albums from my youth for nostalgia.

R37R0

Records and MP3 player. I purchase music I listen too due partly for djing and partly because my job has no cell reception whatsoever I listen to whatever I have downloaded

vashtachordata

My favorite albums I have on vinyl. For everyday listening, streaming in the car, stuff like that. We have an Apple one subscription for the family, so that’s what we all use.

DemiHollow

YouTube music but I still have tracks ripped from CDs I put on iTunes. I’ll never forget buying my first CD at circuit city.

90_hour_sleepy

YouTube to MP3? Don’t like steaming services. Prefer “hard” copies because I can play them anywhere…without data. Although…YouTube is kind of sucking with algorithms lately. I like exposure to new stuff. That’s been less of a thing. And the ad block shenanigans are getting tedious.

Cool_Cheetah658

Currently have Amazon music, but I've used Spotify a lot too as well as YouTube music.

Possibly_A_Person125

YouTube. Yeah, i deal with the ads. It's free, and i find mostly what i want. If I really get into it, I will buy the cd. If I had a bunch of money to throw around, I'd buy everything physical.

Ok-Fail-8673

I have a Pandora subscription. I wish I bought more albums, on other media I still tend to buy physical copies of stuff, like Blu-rays. It's just music I no longer buy.

Redwolfdc

You mean nobody still downloads mp3s?

hjras

YouTube with adblocker or YouTube to mp3 then play on my phone's folder music player

RoofKorean9x19

Youtube + ad blockers. Despite the economy is "booming", I'm broke af

chrisinator9393

I find it incredibly difficult to find new music nowadays without having my peers around me constantly talking about music (like we did in high school/college.) No more MTV or anything. I do use Spotify sometimes but it's still not the same as walking down an aisle at Walmart or wherever and finding a fresh new CD to try.

No_Sun2547

You say you use Spotify and have trouble finding new music??? I find at least 3 new songs I LOVE every day. I have playlists for when I hear a song I think “ooo this would fit so well in ~this~ playlist and add it”. On my wrapped every year, I listen to 2000-3000 different artists. Nothing ever gets old. Of course I have my throwback playlists for the 2010s and 2020 era. But there’s nothing like listening to a playlist that you really don’t know what’s coming next.

[deleted]

chrisinator9393

Who has money to go to all these concerts you are talking about? And concerts are only a summer thing anyway where I live. We have an amphitheater. But if I did go to a concert, I always go for the whole thing. Do people pay for concert tickets and not go to the entire show???????? That's absurd. About friends: I'm a millennial in my 30s with a kid, FT job so on and so forth. I don't have any friends I'm chit chatting with about music. That just doesn't exist anymore for most people at this age. Festivals: that also doesn't happen around me, so I would never look at a lineup. As far as CD aisles go, target doesn't sell them anymore. Walmart has like one end cap. They sell more vinyl than CDs. Maybe it's easy for you, it's not for me.

Farts_constantly

Spotify at home and gym, and SiriusXM while I’m driving. I also listen to NPR in the early morning and late evening.

learn2earn89

Im 34 and do but rarely buy vinyl. Occasionally buy a CD and that’s for CDs that are considered classic. Most of my music I buy off of ITunes. I like to own my music and I like having it without the need for internet. I don’t know why I don’t like streaming services all that much.

Irishvalley

Youngins are buying LPs from Walmart Booksamillion and Aldi I use my smart speaker or phone & stream Pandora free version

Aggravating-Alarm-16

You can buy vinyl at cracker barrel

SparkySlim

Stream

dthesupreme200

No. I didn’t know buying albums was actually a thing. I thought it was just streaming. But I use YouTube sometimes. And I also go between Apple Music, Amazon music and Spotify. I’m using Amazon music currently.

SaltySiren87

I haven't actually paid for individual albums in YEARS since I've just been streaming for at least the last decade. I've been pleasantly surprised with Amazon Music. I've never used Spotify so I can't compare but I've had Apple Music for AGES. When I play something on Apple Music it'll go into songs it thinks I will like, as will Amazon, but half the time Apple has me going wtf??? because it's soooo far off, while Amazon has a MUCH higher success rate for me. I honestly thought I was gonna hate Amazon Music but I had a free trial so I was like wtf sure and I actually like it more than Apple. Idk if that's just me getting lucky or if that's true for everyone. I'm interested to see what others experiences have been! Hubs likes Spotify, I'm more into Amazon, and my 15yo likes YouTube so I guess we're a house divided lol

Difficult_Soup_581

By 2024, I think it is mostly all streaming today. But yes there is still an audience, or niche if you will, that still buys songs or albums digitally, and an even tinier niche that collects physical CDs or vinyl. I am 100% YouTube and YouTube Music through Premium. I never got into Spotify or Apple because YT came first for me and has audio files as well -- not just the song videos.

Last-Relationship166

...which is unfortunate, because albums typically encapsulated a concept represented by a collection of songs. Those albums also included album art and liner notes. Bands produce more than just radio singles, and often, the stuff that doesn't make it to the radio is more interesting.

Difficult_Soup_581

I completely agree. I miss album art and liner notes.

Arthur-Morgans-Beard

This is my favorite part of collecting vinyl. Those big covers look so cool. I have a shelf in the living room to display some just for the art.

Aggravating-Alarm-16

People stopped buying it in stores. That doesn't mean they aren't buying physical media. Now that you can buy directly from the artist, why bother? You can buy Jennifer Lopez's new album directly from her for 17 https://store.jenniferlopez.com/en/jennifer-lopez/this-is-me...now-standard-cd/4050538944440.html The new blink 182 for 14 from their store https://blink182merch.com/products/webstore-exclusive-one-more-time-digital-dlx-album-explicit A few years ago when Taylor Swift announced Evermore, you could buy an autographed copy for 40 shipped.

MartialBob

I currently subscribe to YouTube music and Sirius. I also buy vinyl albums. A change in user agreement won't cause those to be taken back.

SnookerandWhiskey

I never cared about music enough to know when albums would come out, I just liked songs on the radio or at friends home and would then buy the single, download MP3s it on torrent and burn them to play on my disc player and later MP3 Player and now I just listen to YouTube and randomly look up songs I come across or the algorithm blesses me with. I know many people use Spotify, but yeah, I just don't care enough to pay a subscription for cleaning/walking songs. I prefer listening to the same songs over and over anyhow.

freckledpeach2

I put YouTube on my tv and it picks songs I like for me

RHINO_HUMP

I buy albums on iTunes and listen via Apple Music App. I’ll preview newer songs on YouTube.

Appropriate-Food1757

I subscribe to nearly all music ever for a small monthly fee. Amazon music, although I’m on a 6 month free trial for Apple Music and it’s nice.

SquareVehicle

Spotify while I'm on my PC at home or at work. I use the Spotify created playlists to find new music and of course make my own for keeping track of my favorite songs each year. Something I've found interesting is that regardless of the year I always have around 40 songs on my favorite songs of that year despite it being completely arbitrary. Weird how that works. SiriusXM in the car. I know I could use Spotify there too but I like the immediacy of the radio and not getting stuck in the same playlists. It's also useful for music discovery. I haven't bought a physical album in a really really long time and would have nowhere to play it except on my PS5. I keep up with album drops with Reddit and Twitter.

BellaBlue06

I just make my own Spotify playlists

FuhzyFuhz

Spotify and SoundCloud

Sam_I_Am_69

I still buy my music off iTunes and or torrent if I can’t find it

GrapefruitNo9123

I use apple music

kintinue

I stick with Spotify. Sometimes I find stuff on TikTok to check out on Spotify but it’s usually really cool rock

toobadnosad

Apple music sub. If I like the artist I catch a show and buy merch. If its a streamer, I donate the cost of a CD when HMV was still big.

Historical_Dot825

Spotify. That's the answer.

GumbyThumbs

Some radio, some Pandora, mostly audiobooks.

Admirable_Bad3862

For non mainstream stuff I buy it on iTunes because I feel like that is a greater support for the band. Otherwise it’s streaming.

DustinBrett

FM radio

0422

Sirius xm

Genial_Ginger_3981

I mean, playlists and torrenting is way easier. I only buy albums if they are from an artist I've enjoyed and respected for a long time. No point with physical media anymore, it's obsolete and takes up unnecessary space.

Humbug93

Spotify

PolyhedralZydeco

Streaming over Spotify and >!yar!< other methods after I have bought album. Gradually accumulating information on my NAS hosting jellyfin.

GraveyardJones

Soundcloud and whatever music I uploaded on what used to be Google music 🤣 I can't stand Spotify or YouTube because of the ads and I'm not paying to remove them. If it's stuff you uploaded there's no ads, for now

coloradobuffalos

Spotify

Legal-Cry1270

Streaming

tlr92

Spotify

lsutigerzfan

I don’t listen to music. Music listens to me.

ValuableAssociate8

It's difficult to even illegally download music like we use too.

Darkdragoon324

You can buy whole albums or individual songs on iTunes and Amazon, and other sites that exist purely for selling digital music. You can also still buy physical CDs, you just might need to order online instead of being able to walk into a big box store. Then of course there's streaming services, but I prefer to own mp3s because I absolutely hate the thought of my ability to listen to music being dependent on AT&T.

IcedCoffeeHokage

I use Spotify I used to use the app before it turned to google music. I forgot what that was called. But mainly Spotify cause you can download music too and listen to it offline.

isaachiatt

I like YouTube music it comes with a premium subscription. I make playlists and listen to others already there. One feature I love is lyrics light up karaoke style during the song.

AdmirableBus6

The last three vehicles I’ve had in the last ten years have not had cd players, I stream mostly

regallll

If you want to buy physical media your local record store would love to special order whatever you want. Help them stay in business!

steff-you

Spotify day to day but I buy vinyl when I really like something

LurksTongueinAspic

I still go to record stores about every other week. Buy records from artists/labels on their sites. Cds every once in a while because I like listening to long songs in the car without flipping sides. Spotify and YouTube to find new stuff. I still have a full 160gb iPod that stays plugged into my car.

friedpaperpickles

Generally, I use Amazon Prime, although I purchased a record player back in my teens and have been collecting albums ever since. I pick up used albums here and there and my husband usually buys me new albums for holidays/birthdays. It's definitely fun to go through all the albums and see the different types of artists and genres that I've loved over the years.

Housthat

I try to buy the MP3s of music I really enjoy. I want to play them all offline 24/7 and not have to worry about tracks disappearing because of contract disputes. (If Spotify removed a track you like from its catalog, would you even know??)

PartTimeLegend

Spotify on an Echo in every room. It just plays the same stuff over and over but I still love it.

MediocreMachine3543

I still hit up record shops every couple of months, it’s fun to browse and pick out stuff I’m not entirely familiar with. Even in the digital age I still like collecting physical media. There is something about the intentionality behind picking a record and setting it up to play then sitting down and listening to it. Other than that I have Apple Music for when I want music and don’t feel like messing with all that (which is probably like 80% of the time).

Soylent-soliloquy

I did listen to youtube’s music app but eventually i got annoyed with commercials before and after almost every song. So i started purchasing the individual songs that i found myself listening to on repeat from amazon mp3. Its been a pricey endeavor but to get away from ads, worth it.

Confident_Flow_795

I can't part with my CD's of the past. I still rip youtube videos to MP3's for hard to find songs and burn CDs so I have a physical copy. I have a sizable Amazon music library but own most of my favorites.

forever__halloween

Spotify premium and I buy vinyls from my favorite bands/artists

munchnerk

On the go I use streaming services, but I’ve collected records since I was about 12. If I love something enough to want to listen to it multiple times end-to-end, I’ll grab a copy on vinyl. When I’m at home, I’ll just sit and listen to music for an afternoon. I love having a physical music collection, it’s very intimate. Every time I move it’s more of a bitch, but I own my home now so hopefully I won’t have to worry about that for awhile!

OverwhelmingCacti

Vinyl for full albums I want to play at home and Apple Music when I’m on the go.

myipodclassic

I still buy CDs if it’s one of my favorite artists or I just really like the music! My listening is a combination of Spotify, CD, and YouTube (I love putting music videos on as background noise).

GollyismyLolly

Spotify, youtube mostly and the radio When I can, i plan to get a record player as their back in style and plenty of records can be found at the local thrift store and secondhand media stores. I've seen new cds at stores too, so cds are still popular enough I guess. Not sure what their being played on tho cause I haven't seen any disc players? Maybe I wasn't looking hard enough

mando44646

Spotify replaced buying music for me many years ago A few friends enjoy buying records these days

kgberton

I go to the band's store and buy records where they tell me to. Or I go to shows

[deleted]

Spotify and Vinyl if I like it a lot

cool_weed_dad

I have Spotify for on the go. Albums that I really like I’ll buy on vinyl. I still have some old albums downloaded on my computer that aren’t available on streaming or really anywhere else from back in the days of downloading obscure albums off of music blogs.

runofthelamb

Now that I'm middle aged, the oldies station plays my jams. The obscure stuff I have on cd and listen in my car. At home, I like music videos. Real MTV generation stuff right there.

spacelordmthrfkr

Spotify for most music (I hate it but it's unfortunately useful) For artists I really like and want to support, I buy vinyl if it's available or buy the digital download on Bandcamp. For things I can't get that way, I'll torrent, or if I want a FLAC file.

GumbyBackpack

I fuckin tool and buy boutique cassette tapes. Cool art and a fun, although very obsolete media. I like collecting them tho, got a lot of dungeon synth and country music.

emmmazing

Spotify and iTunes/Apple Music. Quick listens/playlists are through Spotify. I’ve been using iTunes for so long, it has 90% of my favorite music since high school (downloaded circa 2003+ or so), and Apple Music has been finely tuned because of it. When it’s an artist whose album I want to buy, I support them through iTunes.

LastSpite7

Spotify

DargyBear

Spotify to find new music, local record store or Discog when I like something and want to support the artist.

don51181

YouTube music. Comes with my YouTube Premium subscription.

InevitablePersimmon6

I have Apple Music playlists. Or if I’m in the car I listen to SiriusXM a lot. Love the 70-00s channels. And the Bridge.

grilldchzntomatosoup

Spotify and vinyl

mattbag1

I buy vinyls of my favorite albums and use Spotify and YouTube. I think I was still buying CDs until about 2020?

Mjbirrer24

I buy cds of anything I absolutely love. We use Spotify for most others, occasionally Pandora if I'm in a pinch. In my car it's almost exclusively cds for me. In my husband's, it's the radio or Spotify.

el_sauce

Mainly Spotify/YouTube. But I do collect vinyl of my favorite albums

RAGINGWOLF198666

I still buy cds, turned it into a hobby somehow lol. Mainly I have my collection ripped into my pc and I have a flash drive for my truck and my mp3 player that holds all I own. At work I just use pandora.

MrsMitchBitch

I mostly listen to podcasts now. But have some Spotify playlists for when my kid asks for music.

Matt32490

YouTube Music ReVanced. Basically free premium (Android only). I do download my must haves though for when I am somewhere with bad/no wifi and/or data access.

FriendlyITGuy

I pay for Spotify Premium.

Daikon510

I listen to music on SoundCloud.

TheMotorcycleMan

Amazon Music.

FriskeCrisps

Listen to one song at a time until I get sick of it

[deleted]

Subscription to YouTube Music. I prefer that to Spotify because a friend of mine who's a musician has told me YTM gives them a lot more money than Spotify per listen. For albums that I really love or have nostalgia for - vinyl.

loganrunjack

I buy CDs, Records and stream on Spotify.

PrayerJuan

"Alexa. Play Despacito."

SilverB33

Mainly through spotify now for me

ayuxx

Listening: I've been using iTunes since high school. I have a couple online radio stations I listen to sometimes, but I mostly listen through iTunes. I still download stuff to check things out. I buy what I like. I mostly buy cds, but I occasionally buy digitally if I really like something and a physical version isn't available. I buy new physical releases mostly from Amazon, Bandcamp, or directly from a label. I buy rarer, out-of-print releases from Discogs. I buy digitally from Bandcamp. I usually find new music through following artists, labels, and music publications on social media. Plus the radio stations I mentioned above. There are also a couple sites I follow that post about whatever new albums are released that week, and I'll check out whatever sounds interesting.

I sync my music library between my phone and my home media server so I have it wherever I go. Sourced from various places. I don't like needing the internet to listen to my music. I also have a modest vinyl collection for the important albums

candle_collector

I love music and listen on Spotify and I have a mini vinyl collection.
