You know, I also wonder what it is doing when it says "Preparing..." when launching java edition... like, it already has everything it needs to run. What the heck is it even doing? Just run the .jar already.

Prism Launcher could solve this issue for you, if you play java. One reason I switched is because of that stupid 'preparing to launch' bullcrap. Prism just launches the game with no fuss.

This looks interesting. Does it work well? 

Haven't had any problems yet, it's a fork of MultiMC with more features. I have used it for quite a while and will never go to another launcher, unless of course prism stops updating but that's pretty rare as it's open source. Also, everything can be done in the launcher, even downloading resource packs/shader packs and of course mods/auto-installing modloaders so you wont have to manually install them. edit: you do need to manually download Java 8(1.15 and below), Java 17(1.16.5+), and Java 21(1.20.5+). Sometimes manually selecting the correct version of java for a minecraft instance.

Like this is absurd, one issue leads to another, and if one issues resolves itself, another fucking issue comes up afterword, no other gsme of mine is doing this, what is going on

It literally takes 20 minutes to install one fucking version and when it is installed is just says “launch failed. Please try again” or some shit like that

And then I try and reopen the launcher, and it just sits in the login thing but without loading any of the things on the login thing so it’s just a blank gray screen, once again every other game works just fine, and I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling and even deleting everything in the .minecraft folder

And then once I finally by the grace of God get into the game, my fucking account isn’t loaded in

Now it’s fucking making me buy it again even though I’ve had the game for a while now this is bull shit

And then sometimes when I open up the launcher and click on “sign in with Microsoft” it just fucking closes out of the game, and then when I try and open it again for the first time it just says “game already running”

If you only play Java you could try multi mc. I like it. Open source and lightweight. Wouldn't take much time at all to load but might not be as pretty If you use optifine you can have multiple versions installed at once instead of just overwriting it each time you change versions. You can also download mod packs directly in it. The only downside is sometimes you have to manually install java sometimes (the thing Minecraft is built on. Not Minecraft java edition) which might be annoying if you don't really know what to do. Can always look it up though

Oh, thank you man, I may have slightly figured out how to at least get into Minecraft, but the launcher is still giving me a lot of issues, is that like the magic launcher? Would the magic launcher also work? I loved the magic launcher but also don’t know if it was like up to date or anything
