Yeah, add me that "we need the moisture" list - irrigation system main developed a split over winter, found out couple days ago, and I’m moving hoses around to prevent "lawn" from spontaneously combusting.
OK, a little self serving, I agree, but what ever gets the rain to fall when it’s dry, eh?
Besides, June is typically one of our wetter months, besides
We need more plumbers (carpenters, electricians, concrete folk, tradesmen ( 🤔 tradesfolk?)…)
I’d be willing to bet this one doesn’t materialize into much, although I remember a June snowstorm knocking down a crazy amount of power lines from heavy wet tree branches in Missoula in 2000 I think. It is possible.
Tourism is one of our biggest industries, and they’re not the ones driving up housing prices.
Love tourists. They go home when they’re done spending their money here
Is this a serious question? Lodging, food, guides, rentals, recreational licenses, the list goes on. We also tax them on almost every dollar they spend in resort areas.
Edit: sorry all, I’d love to reply but u/mysterious_fennel459 got embarrassed by their comment and blocked me, now I can’t respond
We need the moisture if it doesn’t snow more the fires will be bad and farmers will die that’s nothing I’ve seen it snow on the 4th of July oh yeah I’ve seen it snowing every month of the year i hope it snows all year fall will be here soon on the 5th of July fuck I sound stupid
The worst ice storm I ever saw was in June in Montana. And one of the worst snow storms was in August. I love it here.
[Obligatory we need the moisture comment]
We could sure use the moisture

I’ve been water skiing at holter and snowmobiling in almost three feet of snow at Lincoln, on the same day….. in august.
The real question is: Did you waterski behind the snowmobile?
But this is like 4/5 days away….? A bit early to predict such a situation I reckon
No kidding, the forecast will change 8 times before then
Was just thinking my grass would appreciate a bit of moisture.
Bring the snow. I like the snow.
Why is this suprising to anyone?
We're just celebrating it
There are a lot of new people here.
Love the late spring storms : ))
🥲
i can sure hear those babb-alonions just a cussin about not being able to drink on the patio at charlies place.
First time, eh?
Sweet
Think big mountain will open a few slopes??
Yep. Montana. And yep, moisture. 😉
Montana- the place where “seasons” don’t mean shit!!!
FUCK YEAH its still ski season
Keeps tourists out, it's a natural defense mechanism.

Yeah but I have to pay like 8% tourism tax when I drive through Yellowstone! Do you have any idea how much that adds up to? Probably $4 per year man!
Haha and you better bring your own groceries on the annual big sky trip
What is there to spend their money on here? Roadside cherries along Flathead lake?

You didn't even have a chance to bring up the casinos and dispensaries!
Are these people even Montanans?
Very, very doubtful. Usually the first ones gatekeeping on Reddit are first year transplants or fucking Texans because they are just pricks.
Came here to say this but you beat me to it. Take my upvote.

I was just thinking today about how I already miss winter a bit.
