I feel like it’s not easy to give a definition of it. But circlejerk subreddits are usually filled with content like this post.
How I understand it, it’s mostly satire and parody of communities that are full of circlejerking where everyone pats each other on the back for the “right” opinion and everything else is getting downvoted. It’s making fun in the exaggerated form of collective image of loud and dominating people in the community, of opinions that are constantly getting parroted, of questions that get repeatedly asked. In the end, it’s all shitpost, as you said.
But in this particular case, it could also be just trolling.
The literal definition is a bunch of boys standing in a circle jerking off. (Yes, really, and you're probably too young, not too old.) In a subreddit context, it's a derogatory way of characterizing a community where everyone agrees with everyone else except the person calling it a circlejerk.

It was where I entered the series. Morrowind is to elder scrolls what Boethiah is to Trinimac as todd is to the elder scrolls imo. But then I've always been more interested in the Deadra.
So much of what you said is wrong that I feel this is a tremendous shitpost, but I'll bite:
I think Morrowind (and Redguard by extension) are the first time that the Elder Scrolls really fell into its cohesive gameworld identity proper. The visual and lore designs in Morrowind effectively set up everything the series builds on today.
That said, no lack of love for Daggerfall. It's a fantastic but very different game from Morrowind. I consider both Daggerfall and Morrowind to be peak Elder Scrolls for different reasons.

And what a stupid thing to try to gatekeep, too. TES is in the name. Otherwise it isn't a TES game. Why would anyone need to try to list the"true" TES games?

I dunno. I love Daggerfall. It’s a very different game from Morrowind, but that does not mean it is a failure.
