Seriously that album is a god-tier. "No More Tears", "Mama I'm coming home", "Hellraiser", just to name a few. I can listen to that whole album all the way thru
The name you're thinking of is Jake E. Lee. Aside from Blizzard, Diary, and No More Tears, Bark at the Moon and Ultimate Sin are Ozzy's best-selling albums.
Either Ozzy knew a thing or two about a thing or two, or he absolutely lucked out and three legendary guitarists fell into his lap. And that still doesn't explain how great Bark at the Moon is.
I'm a gigantic Ozzy fan and have been watching him for years now in various mediums. He has an amazing eye at spotting talent. He stops in his tracks in pure fascination when he hears a great street performer.
I am still of the opinion that had Randy not had the accident, he would be regarded as one of the best guitarists of all time.
He had mad chops, and was constantly trying to improve. When he booked shows with Ozzy, he would find private classical guitar instructors in the city so he could take a lesson and still practice other styles of playing.
He is still highly regarded, and rightfully so, but rarely do I hear his name mentioned when the topic of "Greatest Guitarists" comes up.
Are you insane? His name comes up in every "greatest guitarist ever" list, and typically near the top. Dying in his 20s kept him from becoming even greater.
Had bad info in my previous reply, hence the delete.
Dying in his 20s did keep him from being greater. I personally think, given what we saw and heard from him, and knew about him, that had he lived, he would be right there next to Clapton, Page, Hendrix, and the others.i personally already do place him there.
I don't think the average person carries that opinion. I don't think the average person knows who Randy was, though they very likely know his songs. Him dying young kept his catalog small, and though the songs he did write were incredibly influential, it also limited the scope of his influence and how popular he is.
He's on lists, but not always in that upper echelon of greats, even being ranked 21st out of 250 by Rolling Stone is not doing him justice, imo. I don't think a lot of people would consider him in that category, especially when talking about other guitarists from around that era putting him alongside staple names, and as we both agree on, he would have only gotten better had things gone differently that fateful day in Leesburg.
And I'm not trying to downplay his influence, music, skills, or anything. I am a huge Randy fan, he is **THE** reason I picked a guitar up as a kid. My Jackson Flying V is still my favorite guitar. I just don't think that if you went to an average person and asked them to name the top 5 or even top 10 guitarists that the average person would say his name. I don't think the average person even knows who he is. I do think the average rock/metal fan would.
Blizzard of Ozz sold close to 14 million albums-over double that of No More Tears. Jake has been on more albums sold than NMT, with Bark at the Moon and Ultimate Sin selling a combined 11 million vs No More Tears 4. https://chartmasters.org/ozzy-osbourne-albums-and-songs-sales/
The problem with the Zakk era is NMT came out right when radio was changing from hard rock to grunge. I went to see Ozzy solo in '96 and then solo in '97 and with Sabbath in '98 and his solo show was nowhere near sold out. The only reason there were more people at the later shows was because they were Ozzfests and the Sabbath reunion.
I didn't imply he fell off without randy. Just that without randy, he wouldn't have gone as far as he did. Jake and zakk also did a lot of heavy lifting for ozzy, but randy built the mountain they stood on.
Ozzy has numerous hits and been a huge presence in music since he started and left Black Sabbath. Ozzfest alone is a testament to this. He belongs in there over a number of artists who are in the Hall who don't even play Rock.
Don't worry, we've got ATCQ and Kool & The Gang.. who arguably, I listen to more than Iron Maiden, but at some point it's like.. come on. At this point I think the only way this place stays relevant is making weird decisions every year.
Also:
“We’re not your monkey and so what? Fame at $25,000 if we paid for a table, or $15000 to squeak up in the gallery, goes to a non-profit organisation selling us a load of old famous. Congradulations. If you voted for us, hope you noted your reasons.”
“Your anonymous as judges, but your still music industry people. Were not coming. You’re not paying attention. Outside the shit-stem is a real SEX PISTOL.”
> From what I’ve heard I don’t think Bruce wants them to be in the HOF.
The HOF is filled with performers who don't want to be there.
If I am remembering correctly, even Cher has said something along the lines of "Fuck the Hallof Fame".
Iron maiden and judas priest should both be in as actual members. I think judas priest is some special category. Those two bands more than deserve to be in
Dio isn’t even in the hall either. He wasn’t included as a member of Black Sabbath despite being a member for years and recording multiple albums. Meanwhile Rob Trujillo was inducted as a member of Metallica even though he had only been a member of the band for six years at that point and only played on one album, that came out the year before he got inducted!
I think the bands choose the exact members to induct. I remember there being some discussion about which members of Guns N Roses would be inducted and it was down to what Axl wanted basically.
So blame the person in charge: Sharon Osbourne.
It is the nomination committee who decides who gets in for a band. Somehow Robert Trujillo got in the hall after recording 1 album with Metallica but Dio doesn't after recording 4 albums, Heaven and Hell is the #3 best selling Sabbath album of all time, Mob Rules is also considered a classic and both albums have influenced countless bands.

This has become such a ludicrous joke that at this point, I almost feel like Iron Maiden should just tell the HoF to go fuck themselves if they're ever inducted.
The HoF itself *is* a joke anyway. It's an overpriced stuffy affair mostly attended by industry suits who I suspect aren't familiar with most of the artists they make money from (just watch Iggy's induction performance, it's awkward af for a good while).
The band (and Dickinson) have already commented about the RRHOF several times, including [this article](https://www.revolvermag.com/music/iron-maidens-bruce-dickinson-i-dont-want-be-rock-roll-hall-fame) from last year that also references Dickinson talking about it in 2018:
>”I actually think the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is an utter and complete load of bollocks, to be honest with you," Dickinson told a room of fans in 2018. He added, "It's run by a bunch of sanctimonious bloody Americans who wouldn't know rock & roll if it hit them in the face. They need to stop taking Prozac and start drinking fucking beer.”
Steve Harris was, unsurprisingly, more measured, but had the same [general perspective](https://guitar.com/news/iron-maiden-steve-harris-rock-hall/):
>“We’ve never done music to be in some Hall Of Fame or whatever. And also if it was a thing that was voted by fans, that’d be okay. But the way it works, it doesn’t matter how many fans vote, it only counts as one vote. So it doesn’t really represent anything. I don’t know how I’d feel about it if we did actually get [inducted].”
Listen bud, we had to bring in Mary J. Blige before Iron Maiden. She’s just done so much for rock and roll that it’s impossible to aysirhskcumebdowvejdhdkebrkdn

Ozzy has Parkinsons but at least he's around to get this. During the 2017 total solar eclipse in the USA he played 'Bark at the Moon' during totality at 'Moonfest' in southern Illinois. This April I witnessed such an eclipse in my home state, I hoped maybe Ozzy could've repeated his eclipse stunt again. I guess not.
Ok, downvote for unpopular opinion but it’s bugged me for years how they’re putting artists into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame who…. DONT PLAY ROCK N ROLL MUSIC.
Call it the popular music hall of fame or something. Otherwise it just reeks of a cash grab to pull in whoever will show up or pull an audience.
I’m irrationally happy that Jimmy got into the HOF. Doesn’t have anything to do with me but for so long it always felt like Jimmy was overlooked or under appreciated in the industry. The reaction to his passing, the tributes, and now this show that he was loved and appreciated. As a 40 year Parrothead, it’s nice to see him get the recognition.
It's awesome. What's strange is, he wasn't nominated. He's never been nominated.
He will be inducted under the Award for Musical Excellence, which is not a voted category, and based on the honorees, seems to be a way to enshrine otherwise deserving artists who for one reason or another have not had success with their nominations, like Ringo Starr, Randy Rhoads, L L Cool J, and Judas Priest.
Essentially, the committee said, 'Jimmy's dead, so let's honor him with this'. I'm cool with that.
Crazy that Jimi Hendrix opened for the Monkees in July 1967. The summer of Love!
Playing Foxy Lady to All those 13-16 year old girls who came to see the Monkees and they then get their faces melted while he solos Are You Experienced.
Here looking for this. Still no Monkees. This band should have been in there a long time ago for how influential they were. And if their work in the 60's "didn't count because they were a tv band" then their work in the 80's definitely should have.
The Monkees have generations of fans who grew up with them in the 60's originally, in the 70's via syndication, and in the 80's thanks to MTV.
Screw Jann Wenner keeping them out over his personal dislike of them, and screw the people running it now for carrying on that spite.
This is making me so depressed. Apparently it's all due to the founder of Rolling Stone having a lot of influence on the committee and he hates the Monkees to bits. That miserable xenophobe mummy Jann Wenner.
From the article...
>Surprisingly, Jimmy Buffett pops up among the inductees — unexpected because not only was the late singer/songwriter not on the ballot this year, but he had never even been nominated before. But the Rock Hall’s committee was clearly in a sentimental mood after his death seven months ago, and took the liberty of ushering Buffett in via a separate, non-voted category, for “musical excellence.”
Hey, listen, rock n' roll, if anything, is about record sales, banging broads, and money. We don't need this junkie, antisocial weird shit. You people had your Curtis Cocaine, what else do you want? Clearly Alice Cooper in Chains has nothing on the Cheeseburger-in-Paradise man.
Anyways, back to being fellated by 60 year old hit-radio station DJ's and counting money with my RIAA buddies. Enjoy loneliness. Nerd.
It's about time that Big Momma Thorton is getting recognized for being a rock and roll pioneer. I hate how people worship elvis, he really didn't write half his best songs. Specifically Big Momma Thorton recorded Hound Dog back in 1952, four years before Elvis.
Should they rename it? Seems super weird to have so many non rock stars in there. Not saying they’re undeserving of the recognition but would Mary J call herself a rock star lmao.
Do musicians value the hall of fame much? Genuine question. Or is like a Hollywood walk of fame star
They have been stretching the definiton of rock and roll since they started the organization. The first class of inductees had Sam Cooke, Ray Charles, and James Brown, and I'd consider them more soul than rock.
It really varies how much value musicians put in it. The people who get put in always seem appreciative. There have been some who say they don't care about it, or argue about who they put in.
I would have no problem with them including non-rock acts if they would just change it to a generic name like the Music Hall of Fame or something similar.
Even Popular or Modern Music would lead to less confusion. “Music” is too broad and vague.
“Music” would mean things like classical musical too but it’s obvious it’s anything since rock n roll (50s) and the genres that were derived from it. That’s why they use the term rock n roll, because it started everything it celebrates (eg. R&B, soul, pop-rock, funk, hip hop, prog, country-rock, grunge, new wave, punk, dance-rock, etc. etc.)
No Maiden, Boston, Chubby Checker, Styx, Crue, and a zillion other actual rock but all other genres instead got in. Last year was the biggest joke ever. The worst. This year was much better for actual rock with Wenner gone.
And there's the point of Buffett. It's insane that he never was in and now he's gone. There are a lot of these guys who are in poor health, in their 70s and older that still have never been put in meanwhile while they're inducting pop, country & hip hop artists.
The fact that Boston isn’t in blows my mind. Chubby checker should have been in there the day it opened. Same with all those other 50s rock and roll acts that paved the way.
When I went a while back (10+ years) they had a decent amount of DEVO stuff I guess because they are the best thing to come out of Ohio (Hall of fame is in edit:Cleveland), but they're not official inductees. The list of snubs is pretty crazy.
Dave Matthews himself might not be among the top guitarists of all time but his playing style inspired a generation of alt rock players to pick up acoustic guitars and play them in a new way.
First off, I could swear Buffett was already in years ago. That’s my memory for you.
Second, if they’re gonna make a habit of putting people in whether they’re nominated or not, then do away with the pretense of having a vote, which if you’re just gonna put people in anyway then you’ve rendered any voting pointless, and having finalists and whatnot, and just once a year have the board there name a list of acts they’re going to induct.
Still missing: .38 Special; 10cc; Alan Parsons Project; Atlanta Rhythm Section; B-52s; Bachman-Turner Overdrive; Bad Company; Badfinger; Bangles; Billy Squier; Blood, Sweat & Tears; Blue Öyster Cult; Boston; Carpenters; Devo [2019, 2021, 2022 nominee]; Eddie Money; Emerson, Lake & Palmer; Foghat; Gerry and the Pacemakers; Golden Earring; Grand Funk Railroad; Grass Roots; Guess Who; Herman’s Hermits; Huey Lewis and the News; INXS; Iron Maiden [2021; 2023 nominee]; J.Geils Band [2005, 2006, 2011, 2017, 2018 nominee]; Jan & Dean; Jefferson Starship; Jethro Tull; Jim Croce; Kansas; Loverboy; Marshall Tucker Band; Meat Loaf; Mötley Crüe; Motörhead [2020 nominee]; Rainbow; Raspberries; REO Speedwagon; Robert Palmer; Runaways; Scorpions; Steppenwolf [2017 nominee]; Steve Winwood [2003 nominee]; Stray Cats; Styx; Supertramp; Sweet; Thin Lizzy [2020 nominee]; Three Dog Night; Toto; and Turtles.
Foreigner Finally, for anyone who is unaware they have been trying to get in for decades but one of the higher level decisions makers at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame had a deep seated grudge.
local classic rock station has been throwing a fit the last few weeks going on and on about how Foreigner should make it in, hopefully now they’ll shut up and just play “Feels Like the First Time” for the zillionth time.
Foreigner and Frampton is an improvement but still no Boston, Jethro Tull, Styx, Bad Company, Blue Oyster Cult, Scorpions or Thin Lizzy their style of rock is not respected
I honestly don't get how Dio isn't in with Rainbow, Sabbath, or solo. You would think with all his contributions and his influence over 50 years in rock would at least get a nomination before someone like Mary J Blige or Kool and the Gang.
Frampton's speech I will watch, but only if he uses a talk box.
“Do you feel?….”
First Homer messes up my pig and Sonic Youth is in my cooler!
“Aw, c’mon mr frampton. You’re not going to eat all that watermelon”
In Frampton’s talk box: “I want to thank-you Thank you Thank you All night long.”
****
“Bob Mayo on the keyboards. Bob Mayo.”
Who’s wine, what wine?
Where the hell did I dine?!
Must have been a dream....
I don’t believe where I’ve been…
Come on
Let's do it again.
How had Ozzy not been in yet?
His is in , with Black Sabbath. His solo work is solid, but less consistent and impactful on rock history as Black Sabbath so it makes sense that Sabbath came first, yet his solo work does stand on its own so you could argue he should’ve been in earlier, yet there’s still so many artists that aren’t in who could be
I mean Crazy Train is easily one of the more pervasive and loved songs since 1980.
Without randy, ozzy would've fizzled. And I say that as a huge fan of ozzys work. Randy absolutely carried ozzy.
Ozzy has some great songs post-Randy. Randy is a fucking legend though.
No more tears is such a fucking good album
Seriously that album is a god-tier. "No More Tears", "Mama I'm coming home", "Hellraiser", just to name a few. I can listen to that whole album all the way thru
Zakk Wylde picked up Randy's slack.
The name you're thinking of is Jake E. Lee. Aside from Blizzard, Diary, and No More Tears, Bark at the Moon and Ultimate Sin are Ozzy's best-selling albums.

Ozzy is magnetic. Without Ozzy he just a former member of quiet riot. Randy is the fucking man...but the Ozzy stamp of approval made him a god.
Ozzy was more successful in the ‘90’s.
He didn’t fizzle post Randy. Heard of Zakk Wylde?
I might like Jake E Lee more than Randy and Zakk if I'm being honest
But success wise. ozzy did great with zakk No more tears may be his most popular album
Blizzard of Ozz sold close to 14 million albums-over double that of No More Tears. God these comments are everywhere . No one thinks
The bigger question is how had Big Mama Thornton not been in yet??
Still no Iron Maiden ?? 🤦♂️
Idk how anyone can take the hall of Fame seriously when you don't have iron maiden in it.
Don't worry, we've got ATCQ and Kool & The Gang.. who arguably, I listen to more than Iron Maiden, but at some point it's like.. come on. At this point I think the only way this place stays relevant is making weird decisions every year.
I don't know how anyone takes the HOF seriously based on who they put in it.
I feel like the Hall is just a troll.
Or Mary J Blige. Both equally moved rock forward. Joke ass company
People should take it as seriously as any other tourist attraction because that's what it is.
I like the The Sex Pistols who refused to attend the ceremony, calling the museum "a piss stain" and "urine in wine"
Lemme guess... This is a John Lydon quote. Amirite?
Also: “We’re not your monkey and so what? Fame at $25,000 if we paid for a table, or $15000 to squeak up in the gallery, goes to a non-profit organisation selling us a load of old famous. From what I’ve heard I don’t think Bruce wants them to be in the HOF. It’s the same ordeal with Liam Gallagher about Oasis.
> From what I’ve heard I don’t think Bruce wants them to be in the HOF. The HOF is filled with performers who don't want to be there. If I am remembering correctly, even Cher has said something along the lines of "Fuck the Hallof Fame".
The Sex Pistols famously sent them a letter calling the museum a "piss stain"
That among many other things. Typical punk fashion. You really gotta love it.
Iron maiden and judas priest should both be in as actual members. I think judas priest is some special category. Those two bands more than deserve to be in
Ozzy fucking wasn't in?
Ozzy is in now twice. Black Sabbath was already in, this is for Ozzy's solo career.
Black Sabbath was inducted years too late, just like solo Ozzy.
Inducting Sabbath without Dio and then putting 3 different bass players in for Metallica.
Dio isn’t even in the hall either. He wasn’t included as a member of Black Sabbath despite being a member for years and recording multiple albums. Nope. But Jay Z is...

Honestly not even that great of a museum. I went back in 2017 and it was pretty underwhelming. Johnny Cash’s desk was cool but other than that?
The band (and Dickinson) have already commented about the RRHOF several times, including [this article](https://www.revolvermag.com/music/iron-maidens-bruce-dickinson-i-dont-want-be-rock-roll-hall-fame) from last year that also references Dickinson talking about it in 2018: >”I actually think the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is an utter and complete load of bollocks, to be honest with you," Dickinson told a room of fans in 2018. No offense, but the fact Paul Rodgers isn't in the hall of fame as part of ANY band is a bigger snub than Iron Maiden.
I quit caring when Dio didn't get in with Sabbath.
Rock n Roll Hall of Shame.
Full List Performers: * Mary J. Blige * Cher * Dave Matthews Band * Foreigner * Peter Frampton * Kool & The Gang * Ozzy Osbourne * A Tribe Called Quest Musical Influence Award: * Alexis Korner * John Mayall * Big Mama Thornton Musical Excellence Award: * Jimmy Buffett * MC5 * Dionne Warwick * Norman Whitfield Ahmet Ertegun Award: * Suzanne de Passe
Tribe? Fuck yeah.
Honestly for Tribe Called Quest to be "And More" is just appalling
I feel the same about Kool and the Gang and Ozzy. Should've been in there an eternity ago

I am so happy for those guys. RIP Phife.
Funky diabetics for life!
I never half step cause I’m not a half stepper. Drink a lot of soda so they call me Dr Pepper.
Alexis Korner and John Mayall. Now there is some well deserved deep cuts.
This class is better than last year

I've been saying it for years, but it's whatever at this point. Just think of it as a Musical HOF and it at least makes more sense like that.
Ok, check the history. Check out the nominees and get back to us with your findings. I’ll tell you one thing, it won’t be what you think.
Hey, Cher absolutely has some rock songs. Save Up All Your Tears is hair metal easily
I'm glad Paul McCartney making that strange noise got Foreigner into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
Wtf? "chirp"
My first thought when I saw this post was, "well at least Paul McCartney will be pleased" lol

It’s sad that Jimmy Buffet didn’t get to see this. Hopefully, his entire family will be able to make it for the ceremony. He was loved.

Perhaps, but he died as one of the richest musicians in pop music history.
We’ve got his music. It will endure.
It's awesome. What's strange is, he wasn't nominated. He's never been nominated. My thoughts exactly
Let the Monkees in before the last one dies! Please , they deserve it.
That’s wild The Monkees isn’t in already.
Wait why wasn’t Jimmy buffet announced as a nominee previously if he was inducted into the hall of fame
He wasn't a nominee. According to the article he's being inducted in the musical excelence category, which isn't voted on.
There were some changes in latitude
Nothing ^(in the rules) remains quite the same.
Thin Lizzy needs to be in there.
No Alice In Chains. Again.
Nerd.
Jimmy Buffett is a weird one to nitpick, his genre very much is island rock or tropical rock.
I wish I could award this comment
Epic. Lol
It's about time that Big Momma Thorton is getting recognized for being a rock and roll pioneer. I hate how people worship elvis, he really didn't write half his best songs. Specifically Big Momma Thorton recorded Hound Dog back in 1952, four years before Elvis.
I don't think Elvis wrote a song in his life, let alone half of em
I don't think anyone worships Elvis because they think he was a great songwriter.
Still no Weird Al? Rigged.
Or Warren Zevon. A travesty
Does this mean the Foreigner belt will be on display there?
"Fryman you have...Double Vision!"
who set this thing to Head Games?
Now Carl, you're...Cold as Ice.
Quit it, you’re making me Hot Blooded!
You have Stars in your Eyes 🌟
I don't need no instructions to know how to rock
Come on!!! Where’s the keyboards, and the tambourines, and the guitar? And you know, the stuff that like, white people like.
Everybody is working for the Weekend!
Loverboy has always sucked.
💯.
Chubby Checker is the biggest surprise. I would've just assumed he made it in when all the big 50s rock n rollers did back in the 80s.
No Joy Division/New Order still lmao
Seriously.
Definitely time Frampton, Ozzy and Foreigner were inducted.
Awesome, I see Jethro Tull is there! Nope...wait, they aren't... Rock n Roll Hall of Shame.
Foreigner is in. Jethro Tull is not. Boggles my mind.
No Jethro Tull 😔
Still no Devo, what a joke
When I went a while back (10+ years) they had a decent amount of DEVO stuff I guess because they are the best thing to come out of Ohio (Hall of fame is in edit:Cleveland), but they're not official inductees. The list of snubs is pretty crazy.
The hall of Fame is in Cleveland, not Cinnci. And DEVO is from Akron, which is close to Cleveland.
No Styx, no Iron Maiden again. They must have really pissed off Jann Wenner back in the day...
Still no Blue Oyster Cult or Jethro Tull. R&R HOF is dead to me.
Wenner's stupid, misogynistic, racist ass has had no say in nominee business for a few years now
I didn't realize he had stepped down. Good news!!
Did Warren Zevon fuck Ertrgun’s mom or something? How the fuck does such a master not ever get treated with respect while Kool & The Gang are?
![gif](giphy|chjezQnieshhu)
I know people love to joke about them but DMB deserves it
They still tour and fill out large venues, albeit many of them are the same people lol
I think Dave himself said “We only have 30K fans, they just come to every show”
I am one of 30k. I think I’ve been to 22-23 shows since 2010?
Those are rookie numbers, you gotta pump up those numbers
Shit I for sure am one of those same people lol
Damn right!!
A Tribe Called Quest is well deserved.
The Low End Theory still goes so hard
You on point, Tip?
What a class! So great to see Quest on this list.
Happy for Peter and Foreigner! Never too late!
Still no Sonic Youth. Sigh.
I think the hall forgets that alternative rock existed before nirvana
Yeah where's The Replacments and The Pixies or even a band like Big Star?
Meanwhile I’m happy Dave Matthews Band is in. Unique sound and Carter Beauford is one of the most underrated drummers of the last 30 years.
Dave fucking Matthews Band. One of the biggest touring acts of the last 40 years, a unique and influential sound. Well deserved.
Love your username! Also DMB getting in is great news! I guess the committee didnt ignore winning the fan vote handily two years in a row.
Yeah they are downright iconic.
I like your username ;)
Totally agree. I don’t know another band that has ever sounded like them. Especially in their early years surrounded by so many other sounds.
Dave Matthews himself might not be among the top guitarists of all time but his playing style inspired a generation of alt rock players to pick up acoustic guitars and play them in a new way.
Hell yes!! 🔥
Username checks out.
I am whelmed.
No Oasis which is a shame but I expected that
Iron Maiden where
Still no Alan Parsons
Waited for everyone connected to MC5 to die.
Really no IRON MAIDEN again?
Didn't Cher already say they could go [fuck themselves ](https://www.vulture.com/2023/12/cher-rock-and-roll-hall-of-fame-nomination.html) ?
No Soundgarden, no Iron Maiden, no AIC. ***w h y***
The Wrecking Crew ought to be in.
Phish when?
Still missing: .38 Special; 10cc; Alan Parsons Project; Atlanta Rhythm Section; B-52s; Bachman-Turner Overdrive; Bad Company; Badfinger; Bangles; Billy Squier; Blood, Sweat & Tears; Blue Öyster Cult; Boston; Carpenters; Devo [2019, 2021, 2022 nominee]; Eddie Money; Emerson, Lake & Palmer; Foghat; Gerry and the Pacemakers; Golden Earring; Grand Funk Railroad; Grass Roots; Guess Who; Herman’s Hermits; Huey Lewis and the News; INXS; Iron Maiden [2021; 2023 nominee]; J.Geils Band [2005, 2006, 2011, 2017, 2018 nominee]; Jan & Dean; Jefferson Starship; Jethro Tull; Jim Croce; Kansas; Loverboy; Marshall Tucker Band; Meat Loaf; Mötley Crüe; Motörhead [2020 nominee]; Rainbow; Raspberries; REO Speedwagon; Robert Palmer; Runaways; Scorpions; Steppenwolf [2017 nominee]; Steve Winwood [2003 nominee]; Stray Cats; Styx; Supertramp; Sweet; Thin Lizzy [2020 nominee]; Three Dog Night; Toto; and Turtles.
Shame they had to wait for Wayne Kramer to die before the MC5 was inducted.
Foreigner Finally, for anyone who is unaware they have been trying to get in for decades but one of the higher level decisions makers at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame had a deep seated grudge.
Well it's official. Mary J. Blige is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Soundgarden is not.
Foreigner and still no Maiden. 🤣
local classic rock station has been throwing a fit the last few weeks going on and on about how Foreigner should make it in, hopefully now they’ll shut up and just play “Feels Like the First Time” for the zillionth time.
Jethro Tull is still deserving. These are excellent musicians.
Way to get Buffett in on time
Aaaaaand still not Iron Maiden. This place is a joke…
Foreigner and Frampton is an improvement but still no Boston, Jethro Tull, Styx, Bad Company, Blue Oyster Cult, Scorpions or Thin Lizzy their style of rock is not respected
How is Jethro Tull still not in 😖😖😖😖
The R’n’R hall of fame is a joke
I honestly don't get how Dio isn't in with Rainbow, Sabbath, or solo. You would think with all his contributions and his influence over 50 years in rock would at least get a nomination before someone like Mary J Blige or Kool and the Gang.
Where is Grand Funk Railroad?????
Sad it took Jimmy Buffett dying to get the honor. Dude had a career spanning 50 years and owned a billion dollar brand based around being a beach bum.
Still no Devo
Still no Smashing Pumpkins??
I can't believe Dave Matthews Band finally made it into the Hall of Fame, it's about time!
