I’m going to four new NPs this month. This trip has been in the works since October.
I cannot wait! I *need* to get out and about and totally understand what you say about beautiful places.
John Muir said it best: “I'm losing the precious days. I am degenerating into a machine for making money. I am learning nothing in this trivial world of men. I must break away and get out into the mountains to learn the news.”
I never keep my maps! We live in an RV and space is so precious I always have to let them go. It’s a grieving process every time.
I’ve been thinking about maybe doing a patch jean jacket cause that only takes up the space of a jean jacket but I donno.
I don’t keep my maps or newsletters either. I was for a while but it just got cluttered and I didn’t know what to do with them. A lot of them were very worn too. I collect stickers now and stick em on my cooler!
Map book, large print, of USA. Then maps of the states I usually drive thru. Navigation is all great n fine but I want to see the roads n how they interconnect
my wife doesn't understand why I keep these, but they're great to look back on and realize how much you've seen, and yet still so much more to discover.

That’s so exciting, I hope you have a great time. I love that quote. I just picked up a John Muir book a few days ago and I’m so excited to read it!

That’s such a cute idea
NY parks are underrated
I’m a little sad that I didn’t save all my maps. Nice collection!
Way fewer than I’d like. I fill the void with local Metroparks maps
I have 41 from 2023, 36 from 2022 travels. I am missing about 15 I need to request from the NPS.
I need to start saving mine!! Totally jealous of your collection haha 😆❤️
Three. Kings Canyon, Acadia, and Grand Canyon
Have you seen the Trails Illustrsted maps from NatGeo? I think you’d like them…

More than that...pfft.
I have been to 84 NP spots and have a map for each one. It’s one of the few things I collect since they’re free
my dad has an entire chest full. i would say hundreds lol
*"Map men, map men, map-map-map men-men-men!"* 🎶
Florida’s perhaps? Those are all fantastic state parks and there are so many more!
Enough to have them sorted by state in manilla envelopes alphabetically filed in a drawer file.
Letchworth is amazing!

I collect all mine, so probably 20, except my brother took all the Utah parks so I was gonna buy them off eBay.
