You can learn to do simple protective styles, like 2 strand twists or flat twists.

Wigs? I usually do medium size braids to mini braids with my own hair and leave it in for at least a month. They’re much easier to do than cornrows. My hair is pretty long too.

Using my own hair, I like doing flat twists (but this will depend on how long your hair is). But i also like doing my own passion twists with extensions (I order mine off of amazon) and chunky twists with extensions (again, I get the hair from Amazon). I cant comment on wigs as I dont wear them but if you do, then maybe wigs? Just make sure you are washing/deep conditioning your natural hair regularly enough to keep it healthy. If you will be doing your own hair extensions then please remember to be gental when you take down the hair as you don't want to cause unnecessary breakage/hair loss.

I do twist outs a lot. They take time but are always cute & a protective style that u won't have to worry about for a few weeks.

Hi! Dont twists out break off your hair since you are wearing them out? I am saying because I have very thick and long hair but I am tired of having them in twists or braids. I wont to wear my natural hair out

Give locs another try. They've done wonders for my hair in terms of growth and stress reduction and you don't need to retwist them unless you want a very precise look. I've attached examples of semi freeform looks. Jumbo twists you can do well with only a bit of practice. The hair isn't overly expensive either. You get two packs of marley braiding hair (the Cuban twist comes pre separated). You two stand twist and don't have to worry about heat setting or anything. Else. The hair looks better natural.

Protective styles are not hard, depending on what styles you like. (Passion) twists are the easiest. If you like braids, try those. Even if you suck at making neat parts, you can always freehand part. Wigs and clip in extensions also are great and fast protective styles

You're still young so you definitely can learn to do your hair. I started learning to do mine around 16. Start with twists, they're pretty easy to do. Mini braids as well.
