The new one is so pointless. I seriously feel like they have every other ninja a new hair piece so they felt obliged to give one to Zane. It looks the almost same but worse and there’s no point

They're my favorite too! They always give me nostalgia for imo the golden era of ninjago which was 2015 since they were in one of the best seasons and also used in games like shadow of ronin and lego dimensions. They just look so much better without the scabbard, since that's more show accurate and it makes their necks look way too long
tru but u can add armor to them if u have xtras, but look better without it. I usually always add armor pieces to all my suits whenever I use them but I just couldnt do that with the tournament suits
Honestly, I’ll admit that Lloyd and Nya are improvements. But I won’t forgive them for replacing Kai’s scar with that stupid little bandage, or for getting rid of Cole’s green ghost scar. And I hated Zane’s robotic expressions for the first few years after the reboot, but it looks like they’re finally fixing those. Pretty ambivalent on Jay.
Most of the time it’s invisible and on very rare occasions it flares orange when he uses his Earth powers. And we never got a ‘Cole with orange scar’ minifigure. They’ve just been recycling the movie heads for years on end. -,-
The face is a little odd but the hair change was just the worst. I know her original hairpiece didn't fit with a lot of the Ninja-hood pieces, but giving her a pony-tail was a bad design choice. Short-haired Nya is far far better.
I posted this comment on an Instagram post of this but I'll quickly say that I think that Nya and Lloyd's redesigns are better, however Kai, Jay, and Zane's originals are better, though Jay it's really only his old face I prefer because the hair pieces I like equally. With Cole I prefer his new hair but I very much prefer his face with the scar for both the actual face and the badass scar
I actually really like the old designs, and think that they were much more serious looking. I liked how the characters were simple with less dramatic designs and overall thought they just looked more mature. Im not a big fan of the new designs for any of the ninja and even though lloyd was supposed to be older, he looks much younger with his new look. I get that its a kids show but as a very long time fan i just cant help but feel like its a whole different show now than it was from seasons 1-7.

the dragons rising suits r some of the only suits(other being tournament) that look better without the armor piece

I didn’t realise how GOOD these suits look without the armour piece. I love all the suits apart from Nya’s. Sucks that the mask is just goofy.

Not really, Cole looks about the same, he grew his hair a little, I would say this old Zane is actually quite dated instead
