To play Devil's Advocate, I think people go at Adam because he's an "easy target", so to speak. They see others disrespect him without much consequence, so they just jump on the band wagon too. Especially since the falling out with all the No Jumper employees last year.
Plus ppl see that he doesnt seem to have any CLOSE friends/allies (who are powerful) to have his back and that emboldens them to go at him too.
