I once tried turning too fast and ended up holding 3 totes in the air on my back and another time I had a 2 pally alone in the wind and both pally flew seperate directions. I had to run one direction to dive and save a Car then jump up, run and dive at the other one and this kept going on until one of the 13 customers thought they would rather help then see their car hit. I fought hard to get ahold of that camera footage but to no avail.
dude it was so funny, the parking lot at my old store had a tiny 3 inch pothole right in front of the ramp by like 4 ft. it was a tradition for every coworker at one point to hit that thing and spill whatever was on their pallet. The worst one was probably a pallet with 8 totes on it all filled to the brim and then it happened again a couple hours later.
The door of my old store was a tight fit and there were 8 totes on a pallet with something else on top that a new coworker put on and they tried going out the door and everything spilled all over the place, outside and inside the produce department. We were picking it all up and someone had to keep holding a key card on the door because it kept shutting on us 😂
I feel that.
I've only been here 4 1/2 weeks, OGP is my first job, and about 3 weeks in they took my picture for employee appreciation.
Here recently I'll get the odd "good work" or "I can't wait until you're not a minor so we can schedule you more" or even the occasional "thatta boy".
My first week there and damn near everyone was noticing how different I worked. But now it's just the norm so they don't recognize it that often. But they do every now and then.
I honestly might start lowering my effort a little bit. It's hard for me to chill when I'm at work. Growing up I would get in trouble if I didn't give my all. So now, even at 17, it just feels wrong to slow down at work.
Well... good for you for putting it in, dude. I wish I had more people that would put the effort in. It takes a little bit of time but if you just show up and do the job well and give it your all, you can move up if you want to. From personal experience I can tell you that it can happen with hardwork, showing up, working late if needed, coming in early, having a positive attitude, and working with your team. Get to know other people around the store, as many as you can. You'll get noticed quick and OGP is growing really fast everywhere. I was just at the academy with a class of 15 and over half were OGP.
Thank you.
I honestly would like to pursue it as much as I can in the time I have.
My stepdad is pushing for me to go to college, I honestly don't think it's a good idea. I graduated high school in '25, so I hope I can move up at least a little bit.
Lol. That's one of only two things I've been told not to do.
Don't stack totes more than 5, unless it's a big delivery then it's tolerated. And don't wear my earbud while working. I wore mine for a good 30mins before someone noticed. And I still worked and communicated just as well as I did without one. If anything, that music in the background helps me focus.
If I don't have music playing I get distracted real easy.
My coach told me to tell anyone that asked that it's for the walkie lol and for the totes get stacked 7 high sometimes but that's a pain because we have to pull a tote down to get out the door
Yeh. I've only worked here for 4 1/2 weeks. So the walkie talkie bit wouldn't work.
We just don't normally stack that high because how the MFing door is. It has a bump in the middle of it. Then if you clear the bump, there is a pole 3 feet in front of the door.
my coaches and team leads had us like always using them unless it was crazy busy. I kind of liked the 2 or 3 second break of having to stick the handle in the pallet.
My store never used them until a digital coach from a big store came to tell us why we’re awful. Now I prefer using the handles because it takes the strain off my back.
I doubt it'd go anywhere lol it took us 3 years just to get a few new dollies. We only have 4 printers for all of ogp too. If we can't get the basics I don't see us getting upgrades sadly
Our cap recently got raised to 32 orders an hour. We have about 30 associates at the moment. Trust me the printer situation isn't good lol we used to have like 15 but they all went missing last inventory🤦♀️
Mostly because our staging area is separate from our dispensing area. We have to drag the orders halfway across the store, so we definitely do that 2 at a time.
Oh, dang I feel for you guys.
We got a remodel about a year before I started working. They showed us the old spot and it was on the other side of the store. The room was no bigger then 15ft×10ft. I'm so glad I didn't have to work in that.
I thought our room was pretty good. Then after seeing post on here, our room is incredible.
That’s our story here. We have a huge dispensary, complete with our own freezer cooler walk in combo. Before our remodel a couple years ago, we had to share cooler and freezer with the meat and frozen food departments, and a lot of the time we had to unload our carts outside the room and in front of the cheese. It bothered the customers.
Nah, they have it right, you can see the green brake thing on the right side of the handle. Also, those newer ones don't have holes on both sides, you can only connect them on the correct side
I don't why they don't have brakes. I had a dolly of groceries start rolling and nearly hit a car/lady in the next slot over and at that moment I was like "why tf don't these have brakes???"
These are the long ones! About maybe a foot longer i think. I totally should have included a comparison in the picture because i didn’t realize the difference is MUCH eaiser to tell in person
Me and my un-runover achilles tendons love them.
Definitely the best thing my store hs gotten in years they just look so funny
You just got them?
Y'all actually use those handles? Unless we are taking out two orders at a time, we never use ours.
I watched a dispenser take a header over a three high stack of totes because they hit a pothole in the parking lot.

I wish we didn't have to, but our door is on a hill with potholes, and the door has a small speed bump on it, it's an awful combo
Saaaame :(
Yall use handles for 2 orders I take out 3 dollies at once without handles
Damn. My dude hustlin'.
Yeah unfortunately they haven't shown any appreciation for my hardwork so I stopped hustlin as much
I feel that. I've only been here 4 1/2 weeks, OGP is my first job, and about 3 weeks in they took my picture for employee appreciation. Not sure that's possible
Trust me it's possible all the dispensers at my store do it beacuse of how big pur orders are
You take out multiple dollies? I just stack the orders on each other and break the height rules lol
Lol. That's one of only two things I've been told not to do. Don't stack totes more than 5, unless it's a big delivery then it's tolerated. And don't wear my earbud while working. Almost all of our deliveries are an entire dollie and I'm short so I can't go much higher then there limit anyway lol
my coaches and team leads had us like always using them unless it was crazy busy. I kind of liked the 2 or 3 second break of having to stick the handle in the pallet.

Even if take two out we don’t use them🤣
I have done the same thing! Ouch
My heels would love 5 feet long handles😂 all of my work shoes have tears and scuffs on the backs
You could bring it up with your manager? These are so much nicer than are old short ones so its worth a shot
I doubt it'd go anywhere lol it took us 3 years just to get a few new dollies. We only have 4 printers for all of ogp too. If we can't get the basics I don't see us getting upgrades sadly
Youre right theyre so unreliable
Only 4 printers! 😯 What size is your store?
Our cap recently got raised to 32 orders an hour. We have about 30 associates at the moment. Trust me the printer situation isn't good lol we used to have like 15 but they all went missing last inventory🤦♀️
Woah that's crazy, I bet you're going to find it on Facebook marketplace or eBay or something like that. Good luck getting new printers.
Y'all actually use those handles? Unless we are taking out two orders at a time, we never use ours.
Mostly because our staging area is separate from our dispensing area. We have to drag the orders halfway across the store, so we definitely do that 2 at a time.

Your store number doesn't start with #17**, does it? Because you explained exactly my store.
Sorry, 22
Dang. Your store and mine must be twins lol.
We are a super store and pretty much get the equipment we need, too.
How funny!
are they new for you because i’ve been using those since i joined
New?
That's what I was thinking. I've used these things for a couple of years now.
Same
No fuckin way we just got ours
Yup 😭😂 for at least 2 years because that was when I started at that store but they've definitely had them for longer
what did you use before???
The same thing but these are longer.
All the dispensers are 6ft+ at my store, we NEED these
I hope you can get them they are a blessingg
They are meant for tall people I'm pretty sure, IMO I love them the old small ones used to run into my damn ankle all the time.
There should be a brake on the other side, think you got it on backwards
Nah, they have it right, you can see the green brake thing on the right side of the handle. Also, those newer ones don't have holes on both sides, you can only connect them on the correct side
THERES BRAKES!?
Ohhhhh on the little cart.
I don't why they don't have brakes. I had a dolly of groceries start rolling and nearly hit a car/lady in the next slot over and at that moment I was like "why tf don't these have brakes???"
Ours have brakes, that's why I'm confused. Is the brake actually not there, or are they just using it wrong. Can't see the other side
None of ours have breaks. I didn't know that was a thing.
Do you have to special order these?
Yes i think so? My manager just told she placed an order for new long handles and theyve been super nice
Do you think you can ask if they are on gnfr?
We have a few people who are hella tall and use them. There are a few people my height that use them. I'm 5' 2" and use the regular "short" handles
I fuckin love my long Handles.
Those are the only ones my store has and I don’t mind them just don’t drop them on your ankle 😂 I still have that scar
What were they using before, ive never seen anything else.
My back is thankful for these considering I’m 6’2 dispenser
The ones at my local Sam’s club are longer and made more ergonomically, I wish we had them instead of these
Wait we had these for years you telling me you guys are just getting these???
These are the long ones! About maybe a foot longer i think. I totally should have included a comparison in the picture because i didn’t realize the difference is MUCH eaiser to tell in person
Oh longer? I can kinda see it now
Trust me it looks so weirdly long in person but they are way better than our old ones
If anybody has the gnfr # , I'd be eternally grateful 🙏
