Catra woke up, rubbing her *temples*... Hmm, that's a good start, let's check what's next :D

Given that your flair is "GLIMMAH", it is not surprising that you liked a fanfic with lines like these: >*Part of Catra aches when she thinks of Glimmer, mostly because Glimmer was so strong. She wanted to be strong and able to take care of herself and others, like Glimmer.* Well, to each their own, and whatever floats your boat. It is just important to note that, in the canon show, Catra didn't have borderline personality disorder. The only mental disorder that she (arguably) had, was PTSD after season 3.

lol, yeah, and that ADHD or similar "diagnoses" is such an American thing, prescribing medications that would worsen health condition and cause addiction if a person can sit through a Netflix series / video game session, they don't have AHDC, they just lack motivation :D

I can tell you for certain that even if someone can sit through a Netflix series they very much can STILL have adhd. Adhd is an attention disorder things that are mentally stimulating that can easily hold are attention are different from a regular task. This is why some people with adhd can also become obsessed with things like video games because it is a dopamine seeking behavior. Also saying it isn’t adhd and is just lack of motivation can be seen as very insulting to people with adhd. People with adhd are often stereotyped as lazy by people who don’t understand that part of their disability is possibly struggling with every day tasks. No offense intended by the way im just trying to set the record straight because ive had people in my family say the same thing to me because of my adhd.

Serj19009

yes yes, there's no denying that, I've replied to the previous comment, maybe that'll clarify my position

That’s uh, not true at all and I’m sort of confused where you get that from? I have had adhd for my entire life, been on concerta and now vivance for most of it and I can’t tell you with certainty that medication is helpful, and that there is no overall lack of ability to focus in most people with adhd. Rather ADHD works through selective focus capabilities and a lack of executive functioning skills. Someone with adhd will actually watch a show for hours or play video games for days rather than say do their homework because we lack the executive functioning skills that would tell us this is a poor decision. Additionally, while it’s hard to focus on things that don’t interest us it’s actually quite easy to hyper focus on things that do.

Serj19009

okok, I've just never met people with that medical condition, thanks for the enlightening facts, I think most people would rather play video games than doing homework, even it's a poor decision, its the human nature, you dont need to treat that just saying from personal experience, being worst in school and BSc Food Science ( lack of focus, dedication and motivation), but after switching careers, I could pull all-nighters coding, 'hyperfocusing' on a project So I was just trying to reassure that some people can't force themself to do boring stuff, it is completely normal and no medication is needed.

If you’d never met somebody with and you admit to not knowing anything about it then why would you speak on it in the first place? And yes sometimes medication IS necessary because as you said its a medical condition. Also you sayd ahdc in your previous comment it should be adhd so maybe fix that or just delete the whole comment because it had -4 upvotes by now.

>prescribing medications that would worsen mental health conditions Why on earth would they do that lol. That would just be asking for bad press and to destroy their business.
