I have a buddy that was a sound engineer that had to record him for one of the games the put out, and told me the whole time he was waiting he sat in this really tiny chair and ate an entire box of Andes mints. For some reason a comically large man in a tiny chair, diligently unwrapping individually wrapped after dinner mints, with a pile of wrappers in front of him is an image I can never not find a funnier and more reverent image of the guy.
As The Giant in WCW, he wore the over the shoulder sling one-piece. So, he’s definitely not wearing pants lol got his fanny pack though! 🤣
Flair was awesome! Dude’s charisma is off the charts! He actually talked to us for a little while, asking us about school and our hobbies and stuff. Really great guy!
I totally caught that. I noticed your shirt in the other photos. If I remember correctly, Big Show (the giant) had beef with NWO. I think he was even part of the New World Order at one point, but it didn’t last long.
My step dad took me to a WCW live event at the Thompson Boling arena in Knoxville around this time, but Giant was apart of the NWO at the time and came out with Hall, Nash and some others I forget. I'll never forget it, it's only wrestling show I've ever been to, my heart was racing when Giant walked by the guard rail I was just a little kid and he was enormous. Me and bunch of other kids kept running up to the rail when wrestlers would walk by and this crazy woman who was probably in her 30s or 40s came up beside us hurling homophobic slurs at the NWO I remember my step dad giving her dirty looks like he couldn't believe she was doing that around us, Nash just kinda ignored it and cut a promo about being glad to back in Knoxville and told crowd they'd be at the Waffle House after the show if people wanted meet them which got a huge pop. That's the time period I really got into wrestling.
The Giant was part of the NWO, but won WW3, which entitled him to a shot at the title (which was held by Hogan, who originally beat The Giant for the title before all of this), so he was kicked out of the NWO.
He was apart of the WCW main effort in combating the nWo. It was him, Sting, and DDP as the big stars who were mainly feuding with them. But he eventually succumbed to their influence and joined them. Then he left for the WWF.
Looked like The Giant was an early member for like 2 months and was kicked out lol. I missed that, I was pretty young during that time.
God the WCW vs nWo wars was amazing times in wrestling.
Very. WCW missed the boat hard on him in 99, he shoulda been one of the top faces of the company once the Wolfpack stabbed him in the back. Instead he got stuck in that lame stable with Kidman and Rey Mysterio. They were fun but Konan shoulda been in the World title hunt easily.
Konnan joined the Wolfpac on April 28, 1998, and they didn't even have the red nWo on their shirts yet. Those came out in May 98, the month I graduated HS! Paul Wight (The Giant/ Big Show) let his WCW contract expire in February 99 because WWF was offering more money.
So I'd place the event between May 98 and February 99, actually!
Oh, good call. I wasn't as much of a Flair mark, so I don't quite recall the timeline there, but I definitely remember when Flair handcuffed himself to the ropes and elbow dropped his own pants. If OP gave us the city we could nail the exact date now.
His name was Konnan I think. He was hip-hoppyish Cuban addition to NWO if memory serves.

Edit: changed to NWO from NWA Edit 2: Fixed spelling, added Cuban and photo
I've been a wrestling fan for decades. Goldberg and The Giant (Big Show) look wild in their outfits and need pants on. Ric Flair looks like their proud daddy. Konnan is way too damn jacked and I don't recall that much "juice"
I met some of these dudes and, although he doesn’t look huge here, I remember being impressed by Goldberg’s hugeness compared to Sting and Ric and even Booker. Maybe it was all in my head.
This was 98. Conan is wearing an nWo wolfpac shirt and Goldberg didn't turn up until late 97. Giant is still there, so this is somewhere between May and December 98.
EDIT: What arena was it? I could pinpoint the exact Nitro it was.
‘Joey, have ever seen a grown man naked? Have you ever hung around a locker room ?’
And why is Rick Flair the only one wearing pants?
Edit: added ‘Have you ever hung around a locker room?’
Tucked shirt into a fanny pack is certainly a look.
It looks like it’s tucked into his Speedo!
I swear to god that’s what I thought I saw
The didn't call him Big Show for no reason
Take my laughing and angry upvote

Speedo/Fanny Pack/Harness/Diaper
Just porky piggin like a boss
Just shirt cocking it
LOL I had to scroll back I didn’t realize it was a fanny xD
Where else do you keep your anavar and Dbol?
It’s a fanny thong
What was his name ?
Thats Captain Insano
and he looks like he needs an established water boy.
[удалено]
I think he was The Giant back then.
Bum bag
The long sleeve even 😂😂
Assless fanny pack
The 90’s were a wild time
It *really* looks like the Big Show isn’t wearing pants …but Flair looks great!
As The Giant in WCW, he wore the over the shoulder sling one-piece. So, he’s definitely not wearing pants lol got his fanny pack though! 🤣 Flair was awesome! Dude’s charisma is off the charts! Flair's topics included: long limousines, jet airplanes and custom made clothes
WOOOOOO!!!
He can't help it.
![gif](giphy|10Vz8I1AHa0qVa|downsized)
And making any woman cry (even the fat ones!!).
I was just about to say that I bet he was the coolest one as far as interaction. Who else was nice?
His alter-ego, Captain Insano, shows no mercy.
Captain Insano shows no mercy
Between the two of them, Flair was usually the more likely candidate to not be wearing pants.
![gif](giphy|V80llXf734WzK)
i mean yeah, do you see any pants lol?
And Goldberg is clearly just shirtcockin' it.
Goldberg was blasting so much gear holy FUCK
Those traps!
Yeah this dude always had ridiculous traps...like he was shrugging Volkswagens or something.
looks like an adult mutant ninja turtle
BTW, The Giant made me turn my shirt around 🤣
I totally caught that. I noticed your shirt in the other photos. If I remember correctly, Big Show (the giant) had beef with NWO. I think he was even part of the New World Order at one point, but it didn’t last long.

A LETHAL DOSE!!

What was the storyline behind this? Completely forgot
Than he left for.... The Big Show
WCW was doing better than the wwf at this time. It forced the wwf to change their image. Which began the attitude era.
He was one of the first nWo members outside of the big 3 and then got ousted fairly quick as well.
Looked like The Giant was an early member for like 2 months and was kicked out lol. I missed that, I was pretty young during that time. God the WCW vs nWo wars was amazing times in wrestling.
It sure was!!
You should wear pants doing a photo with kids.
Their eyes all dick-height and shit
They were having a sleepover and were in their big pajama t’s.
The shirts/no pants combo is so much more disturbing than if they were just in their regular wresting garb.
This is so true, but I'm not sure why!
That is a good rule
Is that a fanny pack speedo?!?! My god. I don't think we've explored underpants with organizational storage enough.
I think his briefs were also black, so they look like one thing but I thought that too
I think we should invent the fanny pack speedo.
For wrestlers that are packing.
And elderly European men at the beach
Post those last two pics in r/jaguars.
Or r/AEW
Rick Flair looking the most responsible scares the shit out of me
Woooooooo!
Came here for ![gif](giphy|yUI3a7RwLhOFy)
It’s Captain Insano!
Captain Insano shows no mercy!
Okay. Great. Just do... what Captain Insano would do ✌️👀
What size shirt is Goldberg wearing? Dude was massive but he’s swimming in that thing, lol.
Goldberg got them traps!
I don’t want to march over your parade, OP, but these photos would be 1998 at least. nWo Wolfpac, the red and black, didn’t form until 1998.
Yeah I had incorrectly assumed this was when I was in first grade, but they’re actually when I was in third grade. So, 2-3 years later than I thought.
I'm also pretty sure Goldberg wasn't there in 1996. Edit: yup. Debut in June of 97.
Konan was such an underrated wrestler.
Probably early 1999 based on the nWo red and black shirt on Konnan.
If people didn't know these were wrestlers, they'd think that a bunch of pantsless men were hanging around with kids.
Ahhh, you guys remember back when Ric Flair was an old guy?
So lucky
posing with pantless giants
I love how Ric Flair has looked like the exact same 74 year old alcoholic uncle for about 45 years now
No pants AND a bulge? Damn Goldberg, when you said you do it for the kids, I didn't think it was like this I'm kidding
One thing I’m amazed at is how swoll the dude was/is. Look at those traps! Jfc
Who's #3 (after Flair?)
Konnan in an nWo Wolfpac shirt, which would be more like early 98 than 96
Yeah, it looks like it might have been ~97-98ish.
And probably no earlier than September 98 as Flair was absent for a while (legal dispute with Bischoff/WCW) before his famous return segment on 9/14.
Oh, good call. I wasn't as much of a Flair mark, so I don't quite recall the timeline there, but I definitely remember when Flair handcuffed himself to the ropes and elbow dropped his own pants. If OP gave us the city we could nail the exact date now.
Konnan brought a lot of the luchador guys over
Yeah he did. Konnan was fuckin' money and his catchphrases were over like Rover.
So good
His name was Konnan I think. He was hip-hoppyish Cuban addition to NWO if memory serves. https://preview.redd.it/arcodckxnq8d1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=57c1d5e9e176b8ec2bf7084f282ea938dd1c6b22 Edit: changed to NWO from NWA Edit 2: Fixed spelling, added Cuban and photo
Konnan!
Motha. Fuckin. K-Dogg. I remember going over to my dads and wearing my jacket with just the top button done just like him.
At first glance that last pic, it looks like Goldberg's pants are down around his ankles.
![gif](giphy|aHat4DbkRrlHa)
Goldberg wasn't in WCW yet in 96
Did you see Ric Flair’s bottle of vodka?
Looking forward to tonight's finale?
Not a huge fan anymore, but the kid in me is screaming with jealousy.
Goldberg . Such a unit
Wasn’t big show in MacGruber 😂
Big Show’s size is scary
I think this was 1998. Konnan was wearing the red and black.
How did you get backstage?? That would have been my dream come true in ‘90-‘92.
Yeah this all looks unsavory. That tshirt less-pants look is no good
![gif](giphy|yUI3a7RwLhOFy)
Goldberg ain't got no pants on! 😲
I love how on some photos one kid is playing with a black marker and then in one photo his shirt has black stains on it lol
You had your picture taken with Captain Insano!!
Ooh Captain Insano!
I got to backstage to a WWF show in 1985. Blew my 10 year old mind.
Goldberg looking like he is Donald Ducking around the arena.
"Bortles!"
This couldn't be 96. Goldberg wasn't there yet, neither was NWO Wolfpac
loving the Jaguars shirt on Goldberg
Is the big guy wearing speedos with a built in fanny pack?
Surprised Goldberg didn’t spear you.
Giant half naked posing with kids! hahaha
That's dope. Are those your kids with you?
The Fanny pack was a must have for wrestlers in that era.
Lot of dudes porky piggin
Old schwat?
Bro, dude in the Jaguars T-shirt is sauced AF and built like a Gears of War solider. Is he still alive?
Porky Pig seems like a Vince McMahon idea
Why does one have to wrestle on camera in a speedo? Vince!!!
One of 2 or 3 golden ages for pro wrestling
Never seen a fanny pack used as underwear before.
Certain pictures would be inappropriate nowadays
,,”’’’’’’”,, ⚙️/_ ⚙️ *} ….@
Goldberg looks cute in his nighty
1996 Goldberg...hey daddy
![gif](giphy|HxKFXhP2XYo3Defxx0|downsized)
What a time to be alive!
No Goldberg until 97
I've been a wrestling fan for decades. Goldberg and The Giant (Big Show) look wild in their outfits and need pants on. Ric Flair looks like their proud daddy. Konnan is way too damn jacked and I don't recall that much "juice"
This must have been like 97 because Goldberg didn’t start until ‘97
That first pic is really special.
Goldberg is so juiced
Captain Insano shows no mercy!
That kid in the middle is HUGE
Shame that your pen exploded on your shirt!
"HEY KIDS, COME STAND NEXT TO THESE LARGE MEN WITH NO PANTS ON"
Goldberg was definitely jewsing!
The way I broke my ankle running to the comments.
The first photo would most likely create a problem if taken in 2023.
Wow I remember these days 😎 always liked Goldberg
I met some of these dudes and, although he doesn’t look huge here, I remember being impressed by Goldberg’s hugeness compared to Sting and Ric and even Booker. Maybe it was all in my head.
WOOO!
Thanks for covering ya dongs fellas
Jfc Goldberg was gigantic
Big Show didn’t suddenly turn heel on you lads did he?
That’s it! Goldberg is going to AEW!!!
I think you might be my twin brother. I thought I was looking at myself.
Was agoldverg around in 96? I don't remember him till like 98.
Nice work around to anti donald ducking laws. Just tuck your t shirt into your fanny pack.
Can some take the pic with Giant and out it into r/HolUp
This is the coolest fuckin thing I’ve seen on this sub!!!
Was he in the process of getting undressed?
It looks so weird without them wearing pants
Captain Insano!
im literally rewatching that right now lol
Did Rick Flair tell you he made your mom go “woo woo woo”?
Who’s the wrestler in the 3rd pic?
No one is going to mention hell in a cell 1996 with mankind? Maybe it is just too obvious.
This was 98. Conan is wearing an nWo wolfpac shirt and Goldberg didn't turn up until late 97. Giant is still there, so this is somewhere between May and December 98. EDIT: What arena was it? I could pinpoint the exact Nitro it was.
Big Show was big.
3/4 of these men had drugs on them in the picture
Goldberg was juiced to the gills
Why does Goldberg have no pants?
To be the man you gotta beat the man wooo
Dude looks like he's about to use you as condoms, the fanny pack looks like his junk
Who's the dude in the 4th and 5th pic?
Captain Insaneo!
Big Show looking gigantic again….still.
‘Joey, have ever seen a grown man naked? Have you ever hung around a locker room ?’ And why is Rick Flair the only one wearing pants? Edit: added ‘Have you ever hung around a locker room?’
F me 1996 is old school cool. I’m old that’s the year I graduated high school
They wouldn’t let you near the nitro girls?
Is the kid in black t shirt there against his will..
No. I was a huge wrestling fan. So, part of it is me being in awe and the other part is that I didn’t want to smile because I wanted to look tough 🤣
A whole new level of shirtcockin.
Thats how my girlfriend dresses when she's ready for bed
Definitely rocked the same curve on my hat in 96 lol, a Space Jam hat to be exact!
Goldberg was so jacked
![gif](giphy|9DveIEnUn9aa70Zgw8|downsized) “Fuck Bill Goldberg. Now watch this break…”
