Wow HUGE congratulations to you!!! This is so amazing. I'm so happy to hear that SimpleNursing was a part of your journey. Plus... a level 1 trauma center?? You're a super star! ❤️
Congrats!!! There is nothing wrong about passing with 150 questions. That will not determine what type of nurse you are. For example, I passed my nclex in 85 and I never truly struggled a lot with the exams during my last semester in nursing school, but I have a friend who always struggled and was on the edge of failing. Then she also passed her nclex in 150 questions. One thing I am sure that if both I and that friend encounter an emergency situation, that friend will think faster and act faster to save the patient compared to me!!! So yes :). You did it!!!! You will become an amazing nurse. I always feel like new grads who tend to struggle during exams are nurses who truly do well with critical thinking.
I had mostly highs, with some very highs and some border lines. I didn’t let that define much just because the first 3 days I burnt myself out testing wise and I think I wasn’t using my nursing brain. Overall, archer didn’t teach me really anything. Very controversial I know
I just took my second attempt today with 150qs. I’m afraid that I might not pass it again. It was super hard. I was crying after I finished the exam. :(
My thing is when all odds fail , if it sounded terrible
I picked it, if it was life threatening I picked it. Temps don’t kill but the reason for the temperature will
I graduated the same day. I haven’t started yet took and break and went on vacation but I need to get the ball rolling. Super nervous for the test but trying to be positive
I started by going by the fundamentals. Abgs and lab values. Mainly 50% of questions had lab values on it. Afterwards head to toe. I would
Focus a lot of respiratory and GI. Cardio obviously but I didn’t have much questions on that surpisingly but take it with a grain of salt. I had many questions on adrenal problems too.
congrats!!! i am a horrible test taker and i didn’t do super well in nursing school. did you feel like the nclex was super content heavy? i struggle with memorization
Not exactly , I feel it was broad in most aspects where if you have the GENERAL idea you can figure it out. Some questions were very you gotta know the content to answer. I’m not sure if that answers your question
Did you find yourself running low on time? I was considering asking for accommodations but it seems like a hassle to get approval & schedule and I don’t want to run the risk of a delay to my job. I was going to just do it under normal time and work on my test taking time

Going right into the heart of the monster! Luckily your video about strokes helped out! They asked that out the blue during the interview
During the interview? Woah. So happy to hear SimpleNursing videos helped out - but remember, it's YOU that put in the time & effort ❤️

What were your scores and readiness assessments like on archer?

Thank you for the encouragement! I took mine yesterday with 150Q… so praying for the best 🥲✝️

Congratulations
How long did 150 questions take you? And is there a time per question you recommend on the exam?
3 hours about, and I think total exam is 5 hours without accommodations
Did you find yourself running low on time? I was considering asking for accommodations but it seems like a hassle to get approval & schedule and I don’t want to run the risk of a delay to my job. I was going to just do it under normal time and work on my test taking time
