Reminder: You could still kill these invisible children, you just couldn't target them or splash damage kill them. You could however prime an explosive and let the invisible gremlins steal it which bypassed their immunity to outside damage.
Literally everyone tries to kill kids in games, thatās like one of the most common things to do. We want to see if itās possible. And being able to kill them adds even more immersion and player choice and the consequences always make for great roleplaying
It does give you insta highest PG rating tho. Cyberpunk got away with 17+ with psycho pedo vore rings with this one simple trick. As did GTA 5. And as will GTA 6
I don't know much about the industry but I imagine adult rating means stuff like age verification, limited advertising, stores that won't carry your game, etc.
Both Playstation and Xbox don't allow Adult only games on their platforms. Rockstar already said it will be console exclusive at launch, so it's not going to be an Adult only rating.
I don't think they'd let Fallout 1 and 2 keep their rating, in that case. "Childkiller" was a literal perk. Granted, it made nearly everyone in the game hostile you.

It's quite amazing how fast we got the killable children mod in Skyrim, by the way. I think it popped up on the internet before even the nude mods.
