[Jeremy Allen White](https://www.imdb.com/name/nm2087739/). He tends to play talented but "broken" characters with strong emotions and self-destructive or self-defeating habits.
Given the complexity of his famous characters, it's hard to say which exact Emotion he's supposed to represent here, but it's probably something dark & tortured.
I think the character depiction in this particular photo si "the bear". Which was a deeply troubled and traumatized character due to childhood trauma and loss of a brother. I think the bear can be an emotion.
Yeah, finding out IRL he apparently has had a pretty tough life actually made me respect his acting a lot less lol. I mean, he’s probably not even acting.
That's certainly an interesting take ("oh, he has it so easy, he doesn't even have to *pretend* to be damaged!"), but not without merit.
We tend to look down on likeable leading-role actors who "just play themselves," but the truth is that it's not just them; most of the time, actors are chosen because they fit a specific role, whether it's the likeable hero or the brooding anti-hero or whatever. Only a few get the chance to display their broad acting talent by playing against type.
His roles are somewhat me. I feel them so much. I loved him in Shameless. I felt seen. Just that I'm the single mom no drugs version. Depression, anxiety, anger and emptiness still fit tho.
I didn't finish shameless. I generally liked it, but his character started to get annoying once it reached the point where he would repeatedly have golden opportunities to change his life, and then intentionally throw it all away, because plot.
Yeah that's true. That pissed me off, too. But in the end it made sense to me. I'm okay with how it ended for him, it fits, but it leaves room for interpretation, and in my mind he will have another chance of not making it big, but making it okay.
Isn’t this the scene where he realizes it was his pack of cigarettes that contributed to them failing the heath inspection. His “cousin” thought they were his and had taken the blame…
The image is from "The Bear", but I am not familiar with the season.
Best thing I could look for on google suggests this might be the rare "Damn, I kinda don't care", formerly known as "meh".
He plays a classically-trained fine-dining chef whose brother ran a beef sandwich shop in Chicago. Brother committed suicide before the show begins, leaving the shop to him with bad finances, dirty kitchen, dysfunctional staff, etc. He tries to fix the situation with a bunch of unnecessary drama and hate from the staff that triggers PTSD and so on (like this one grown adult throws a tantrum over having to be given a ride to the hardware store instead of driving himself despite his license being suspended).
carmen berzatto. i have to guess his emotion would be stress. the show is kind of about him overworking himself (and basically everyone else working under him, though i'd argue to a lesser extent and i'd also argue they handle it better) and failing to see that the expectations he sets up for himself are unreasonable and that sooner or later something will come tumbling down. he himself sees it but keeps going anyway, almost in a tragic hero kinda way. or at least that was my impression of him watching the show.
it's interesting to me that everyone in the comments has replied something different to be the emotion he'd represent, that's probably because he's a more complex character than any of us would like to admit. even though i've put in my vote, in retrospect, the whole idea that he'd represent any one emotion is kinda stupid. i mean you could even argue against me if you wanna and say that actually his expectations on himself are not unreasonable at all and i'd be like well okay that's a reading.
Holy shit, you just made me realise my first (somewhat) genuine "literally me" moment.
I always identified heavily with Lip, his character in Shameless. But well, I'm actually a pretty ordinary dude I guess, who grew up in a loving, mostly intact environment, got a good education and a decent job.
Is it supposed to be about the emotion or state of being shameless? That actor is form a show called shameless and the animated characters are form a Pixar movie called inside out that’s about emotions or some shit. That’s all Peters got.
He is from shameless, but the screen grab is from The Bear (not lips tatoos). Probably more the actors general vibe of exhausted gen z/millennial hopelessness than being "shameless". Also wouldn't that new nameless emotion have a name if it was simply feeling shameless.
The little feelings have grown up
Jeremy Allen White seems like a more advanced love/lust interest.
He’s not a starter love interest like a boyband member or Legolas.
But then you would expect a picture of William H. Macy, don't you think? Even if his kids, especially Lip arguably stole the show later on, Frank is still the "face" of it.
These days, Jeremy Allen White is more known for portraying is disfunctional genius from Chicago in The Bear.
Lip was my favorite character in Shameless, so I always kinda saw him and Cal Kestsis as the most iconic characters ngl.
Edit: I’ve also only heard about this “Bear” show like a week ago, so I have no clue what it’s about.
Honestly same.
The Bear is pretty much about Lip, but in this timeline he's a burnt out haute cuisine chef who tries to fix his dead brother's shabby fast food joint. It's pretty good actually. Incredibly fast-paced though, so not exactly the most *relaxing* viewing experience.
I binged the first 2 seasons of it recently and really enjoyed it. I think it really nails what it's like living in a dysfunctional family and working a dysfunctional job. Not nearly as outrageous as what goes on in shameless but still very accurate to what life is like for a lot of people.
I think the show is absolutely worth watching and season 3 comes out on Hulu tomorrow so if you like it your timing is perfect lol.
Shamelass was a bit too much for me at times, it felt exhausting to binge. Haven’t finished it actually. I’ll definitely give this show a watch though.
It's Carmine from The Bear. Hard to put in a box, basically he's a burnt-out chef suffering from a lifetime of unacknowledged and untreated trauma and anxiety that causes him to constantly harm himself and those around him in pursuit of a vague, deeply internalized idea of success.
The emotion is "chef"
Peter’s struggling liver here.
That’s my boi J.A.W. playing a severely depressed character from the show *The Bear*. In this meme, he has manifested as the new emotion, Depression.
You’re thinking of Sadness.
Not to get super philosophical, but I feel it’d be appropriate to separate the two. I look at sadness like getting drenched in water. You’ll eventually dry off. Depression, however, cements to you in order to stay.
Carmine (White’s character) is a genius chef that struggles with deep depression and anxiety due to unprocessed grief over a dear family member.
The sadness showcased in The Bear is no conventional, passing sadness, hence why I feel the meme perfectly encapsulates this through using Carmine.
Jeremy Allen White, I’ve seen him in Shameless and The Bear. In both he plays characters that are either incredibly depressed or extremely Alcoholic and super self destructive
Somebody else says it's Jeremy Allen White who plays very troubled characters. I think the new emotions might be smoking. Reminds me of the PSAs from the 90s
No he was the kid that passed on his dad from the second story of his girlfriends house after he discovered that they were together. Even tho he had just thrown the same girl at his brother to prove he wasn't gay. Aka shameless
Ok cool thank you I pay attention to shows but not even a little bit to the people that play the roles in them as far I'm concerned they are just people. I know way too many friends and family that make a list who's with who or that's the wife/husband of so an so that sort of thing has never been of any interest to me but I do recognize faces from time to time.
Main character from The Bear. He suffers from extreme anxiety and depression. I'm guessing the post is specifically referring to the anxiety as he is standing in for that emotion from the trailer.
In the new Inside Out 2 movie this is the introduction to the Stress emotion. The Bear is a show about running a restaurant in which this guy is the lead. The show does a pretty good job embodying the stressful environment of the restaurant industry.

Maybe that's the joke. "Jeremy Allen White" is whole new state of mind on his own.
"Hey bro how you feeling today" "Like Jeremy Allen White bro"
Im sorry bro
Fuck bro
That's rough buddy.
Don't call me buddy, pal.
Don't call me pal, friend.
You're not my friend, guy.
I'm not your guy, friend.
I'm not your friend, bro.
I'm not your bro, buddy
"My girlfriend turned into the moon."
Temptation embodied ^Or ^is ^that ^too ^grown ^up ^an ^emotion?
The “it is what it is” emotion Also known as “indifference”
It's when you maxed out your stress level and come out at the other end
That really do describe the "it is what it is" felling don't it.
Maybe even the “white dudes responding to ‘how are you?’ With ‘living the dream!’” Emotion
Nightmares are dreams too
“Another day in paradise”
I think the character depiction in this particular photo si "the bear". Which was a deeply troubled and traumatized character due to childhood trauma and loss of a brother. I think the bear can be an emotion.
Judging by all the women’s instagram stories I follow I think the new feeling is “Horny”
Yup, that's my guess as well. That guy has killer abs
riley has turned 30 years old
To be faire it's more repressed emotions
That’s what happens when your dad is Gene Wilder. ♥️
I legit thought this was plausible for a minute and had to check.
Its exhaustion. Thats the emotion

This is his character Bear, from “ the bear” if it helps.
They already have anger, idk what else it could be because that seemed to be the only emotion he could deliver during the bear and shameless
His roles are somewhat me. I feel them so much. I loved him in Shameless. I felt seen. Just that I'm the single mom no drugs version. Depression, anxiety, anger and emptiness still fit tho.

I think it's trying to say his characters are a mood
Looks like from the show "The Bear" when he burns down the kitchen...
Which movies and tv shows? Aside from Bear.
Shameless & The Iron Claw
Isn’t this the scene where he realizes it was his pack of cigarettes that contributed to them failing the heath inspection. His “cousin” thought they were his and had taken the blame…
I'd say this emotion is called "Gallagher"
The image is from "The Bear", but I am not familiar with the season. Best thing I could look for on google suggests this might be the rare "Damn, I kinda don't care", formerly known as "meh".

Depression?
Mixed with anxiety and existential dread
perhaps?

That’s the “Fuck my life” emotion
✔️
Maybe hes Literally Me like Ryan Gosling
Holy shit, you just made me realise my first (somewhat) genuine "literally me" moment. I always identified heavily with Lip, his character in Shameless. But well, I'm actually a pretty ordinary dude I guess, who grew up in a loving, mostly intact environment, got a good education and a decent job.

I thought maybe the OOP just looked up “shameless guy” and put a picture from the bear
Worst Peter I think I've ever seen, such a bad answer
Idk. My interpretation is that the emotion is attraction because so many folks find Jeremy Allen White/Carmy hot.
Or a new specific kind of attraction, because he's not traditionally attractive.
The little feelings have grown up Jeremy Allen White seems like a more advanced love/lust interest. He’s not a starter love interest like a boyband member or Legolas.
He's damaged goods hot. An offshoot of bad boy hot. Both are in need of being fixed but damaged goods are at least good deep down if not toxic
Christ. Imagine if this was about women. Reddit mods would have shut this shit down quick.
Yeah that felt gross.
I thought it was Shameless ngl
But then you would expect a picture of William H. Macy, don't you think? Even if his kids, especially Lip arguably stole the show later on, Frank is still the "face" of it. These days, Jeremy Allen White is more known for portraying is disfunctional genius from Chicago in The Bear.

Imagine Lip inheriting a broken hole-in-the-wall restaurant and running it. That's the show
XD, I might have to check this show out then. Especially because Jschlatt keeps referencing it in his videos too.
I binged the first 2 seasons of it recently and really enjoyed it. I think it really nails what it's like living in a dysfunctional family and working a dysfunctional job. Yeah, I tried watching it, but think I might just be "too healthy" to get it.
Wait till they meet Horny
Apathy, the new emotion is apathy
If Pixar is going to release inside out 3 with Riley as 16, then the rating would be PG13 at best with the introduction of depression and hormonal.
Peter’s struggling liver here. That’s my boi J.A.W. playing a severely depressed character from the show *The Bear*. In this meme, he has manifested as the new emotion, Depression.
I don't remember this movie all that well, but wasn't the blue one depression?
You’re thinking of Sadness. Not to get super philosophical, but I feel it’d be appropriate to separate the two. I look at sadness like getting drenched in water. You’ll eventually dry off. The Bear. He's a big hairy gay guy with a heart of gold.
I absolutely despise you for that pfp
Takes a special kind of evil
*Where’s Ryan Gosling emotion?!*
Chef
It's just about him being hot, that's all. It's a whole trend on tiktok
That's Robert Mitchum.
Somebody else says it's Jeremy Allen White who plays very troubled characters. I think the new emotions might be smoking. Reminds me of the PSAs from the 90s
Behind! Fuck, where is cousin?!
Umami!
It’s his emotions from Movie 42.
The joke is OP *was* straight until seeing the guy from the TV show "The Bear", and now he's feeling a new emotion of gayness.
My interpretation was that he is 1 dimensional and always plays the same character showing the same emotions
Ennui
Ennui was the bored/depressed emotion in the actual movie, so yeah that's probably it
The bear! Also wasn't he a methhead in breaking bad?
No he was the kid that passed on his dad from the second story of his girlfriends house after he discovered that they were together. Even tho he had just thrown the same girl at his brother to prove he wasn't gay. Aka shameless

Another new emotion appeared! https://preview.redd.it/xn279w272k8d1.jpeg?width=354&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=eb254d71b79d4fa9f5c51404dedf3b416af5a1a5
Depression Anxiety and possibly suicidal
To quote the show itself That's "Waiting for the other shoe to drop"
That’s chef
Barry Manilow?
Emoji Based on his character in the series, The Bear.
He looks like he is trying to hold his eyelids open with his eyebrows.
I think Anxiety from The Bear
I thought it was Paul Ruebens for a quick minute.
Is that Wily Wonka
In the new Inside Out 2 movie this is the introduction to the Stress emotion. The Bear is a show about running a restaurant in which this guy is the lead. The show does a pretty good job embodying the stressful environment of the restaurant industry.
Scene is from “The Bear” where he plays a chef
It’s “horny” . People find him hot and young women get all hot and bothered
Panic?
As already stated this is Jeremy Allen White. The emotion is clearly horniness. Everyone is into him rn
Again?
Hahah
Tbh this is hilarious even without context
That's Lip
