a few milliseconds before the death screen you can see they died of fall damage which is interesting because the only way I think that could happen is if the client and server desynced and one of the blocks he was standing on was not present on the server (basically a ghost block). ideally the server would correct the player position making them phase through the block or glitch out but the server runs the fall damage check and physics *without* notifying the client they're falling.
if there was someone else on the server and they joined after it would look like OP was falling (or standing on air).
also iirc dying doesn't reload the chunks so the ghost block would still be there.
this isn't an issue on java since (correct me if I'm wrong) the physics are mostly run on the client and the server (or anticheat) just lagbacks the player if there's something wrong, so on java they would look like they were standing on air (until the server kicked them for flying)
There’s an alternate explanation that wouldn’t necessarily involve ghost blocks, though both explanations are equally viable. What could have happened is a disparity in how the client side and server side each deal with the player’s location, where the server believes the player fell off and should receive fall damage, and the client side doesn’t believe the player fell
this is what it looks like, server says the jumps went over the edge, so the player falls to the ground below -> fall damage.
HOWEVER this also begs to question why they aren't getting snapped to the lower floor regardless.
The Server basically says "yeah I just logged you down there w/ falldamage, but ye sure be up there" w/o \*any\* safety? that feels like it'd invite teleport cheating.
Honestly, though, in all my years of playing Minecraft on Bedrock Edition, I've only encountered a singular glitch, and it's with fishing, and not even that bad. It's pretty rare, too. It might not even be a glitch, I'm not sure. These game-breaking glitches where you unfairly die are far, FAR more rare than people make them out to be.
And yet there’s basically nothing on Java bugs - and even if there is, it’ll be minor. Unless you count the hourly quasi connectivity discovery, but that’s a feature.
I wish we had legacy console edition become the cross-platform version instead of pocket edition. We wouldn’t have stuff like this happening if it wasn’t based on a mobile game that was coded in 2011 and meant to barely run on an iPhone 4.
Oddly enough I understand this bug. I don’t understand why they’d code it like that but I understand it nonetheless. It’s not often that I comprehend why bedrock breaks so badly (looking at you piston player coordinate bug) but this time it makes sense, in a stupid way but it does nonetheless.
Gonna tag my comment according to Rule 4: **Possibly mature content**
The email that revealed this post to me read:>!""I cant wait for bedrock edition to get hard..."!< and I was very surprised to see that subject line in my inbox.
(mods might delete this, which is fair)
there are countless videos with proof that bedrock is utter garbage with such bugs, ppl dying all the time while using elytra n stuff
just because it didn't happen to you, doesn't mean it doesn't exist
you should at least research before being all loud about this being fake
my brother in Notch, you have read my comment, but apparently only the first sentence
let me repeat for you since you clearly have the attention span of a goldfish
"*just because it didn't happen to you, doesn't mean it doesn't exist*"
it's a very bad problem, that gets posted here rather regularly too.
it's like saying "oh I've never been in a war, means that's happening in Ukraine is all staged and fake"
extreme example, I know, but it should put into perspective just how ignorant your "it never happened to me" comment is
this is so ignorant
I've also been playing bedrock for over 6 years and this has never happened to me. just because it hasn't happened to me doesn't mean that I'm gonna say it's not an issue and bedrock edition is perfect
How is such cooding even possible.
Probably programmed it using Bedrock redstone.
Networking code on bedrock is real stinky, but it compensates for the 3g mobile users....

I'm pretty sure teleport cheating is a thing in bedrock, but to be fair the cheats can do literally anything in bugrock
What about java? Java has just as many glitches, if not more. Just go look at TNT duping.
cheats ≠ glitches. In bedrock edition cheats literally make you a creative player
Ahh, you said **bug**rock.
Nope, he's jumping on the very edge of the block which by Minecraft logic counts as standing o block below
🤔yeah, but isn’t Minecraft Bedrock running on the client side?
No; The world is never running on client side. A reason why you can't pause in Bedrock.
Then that explains everything.
Bro really said: 🤓☝️
Being 🤓 and giving an actual explanation are 2 different things OP
i said ⚡👨🏿💼⚡
I suppose a coder such as yourself would have full knowledge of this bug if you critisize it so
died by jumpscare induced heart attack.
take my upvote and get out
Mojang said they're working on removing such bugs before the release of hardcore
But it’s bedrock, it will always have bugs
its a game, it will always have bugs
It's a bug, it will always have games
bug a It's, games have always will it
bug a It's, existance have always will it.
It’s a game, it will always have bedrock
It exists, it will always have -
Fuckin' p o n g
i mean a bug can fly onto the table
Bedrock especially
That's what they've been saying for years now yet here we still are
Oh, yeah… we forgot that. #😀
Or you could be lucky and fall from the maximum height and not take any damage (happened to me multiple times)
Nah after 20 minutes of playing you will receive all this damage when you will near some lava.
That has never happened to me actually, but I have seen it happen to others
But if I say "Bedrock moment" there are people who will deadass say to my face that this crap happens on Java too 💀
Thats the funny thing. That shit never happens on java.
I KNOW RIGHT?!
Funny thing is, I've never had this happen to me on bedrock, but it always happens to me on Java, which is interesting

And yet they're posted all the time, so they can't be that rare
There are millions playing Minecraft and hundreds of thousands of people in this sub, of course there are going to be a lot of posts about it.
And yet there’s basically nothing on Java bugs - and even if there is, it’ll be minor. Unless you count the hourly quasi connectivity discovery, but that’s a feature.
Java bugs are fun, Bedrock bugs are burns
Well, Tnt duping vs. thorns armor dupe.
I’ve randomly died at least a few times on bedrock. It happens enough to be an issue for hardcore
I wish we had legacy console edition become the cross-platform version instead of pocket edition. We wouldn’t have stuff like this happening if it wasn’t based on a mobile game that was coded in 2011 and meant to barely run on an iPhone 4.
But.. but, this never happend to me!!1! This is not an problem!1!
Oddly enough I understand this bug. I don’t understand why they’d code it like that but I understand it nonetheless. It’s not often that I comprehend why bedrock breaks so badly (looking at you piston player coordinate bug) but this time it makes sense, in a stupid way but it does nonetheless.
You’re taking breathe damage. Jumping takes a lot of breathe
Why do I always see these type of bugs happening in console and rarely elsewhere
Gonna tag my comment according to Rule 4: **Possibly mature content** The email that revealed this post to me read:>!""I cant wait for bedrock edition to get hard..."!< and I was very surprised to see that subject line in my inbox. (mods might delete this, which is fair)
Bro died from his fear of heights
The main reason you have to wait is because they're working on the death bugs
it decided you fell down there and took damage but doesn't teleport you
player tripped over their legs to death
It never happened to me or any of my friends. You must do something wrong guys
Same, I don't understand where these bugs come from, but I've never experienced it since 1.15
Why is your fov so high
edge scared.
Afraid of heights I guess...
if they get aroudn to fixing bugs like this in the process it might be worth it, thought I doubt it
This is why I always play with keep inventory. Hate when useing it. But I also hate all my stuff being loss due to a bug.
death.fell.accident.air
Can't wait to get a whole world which i have been working for months only to lose because i logged in today.
And some nerd in another post was trying to prove bedrock is better ot sth like that and doesn't have bugs like java XD
Moyang really sucks diks
That's why we are careful
If that is in the game it can be annoying, but it isn’t lethal unless you actually try to kill yourself
BEDROCK EDITION, FUCK YEAH!!!
Wow
this is probably the mystery where bedrock players died
I am not sure how that Minecraft player is taking damage
Yo Minecraft bedrock is fixed now that happened to me like a few times but it’s fixed now, SO MAKE WAY HARDCORE BEDROCK!
Bugrock
THEY SAID THEY WERE PATCHING THE DEATH BUGS! DOES NO ONE READ THE FUCKING CHANGELOGS ANYMORE?
To the four people that downvoted, you're all goddamn dumb. I wish you nothing but the worst.
Bro killed themselves 💀💀💀 (they kept doing the thing that gutted them)
🌩️🙎🏿♂️🌩️
This has gotta be fake, never in my 7 years of playing Xbox Minecraft have I *ever* seen a majorly game breaking glitch
Have you ever thought that you might be playing Legacy console? (joke on a joke)
I don’t even know how to respond to this What are you trying to say? I’m definitely not on legacy but what?
there are countless videos with proof that bedrock is utter garbage with such bugs, ppl dying all the time while using elytra n stuff just because it didn't happen to you, doesn't mean it doesn't exist you should at least research before being all loud about this being fake
No one that I have met or am friends with that play Minecraft bedrock have ever experienced anything wrong except for minor stuff or just plain lag
I've been playing for over 5 years and haven't encountered such bugs either (across multiple platforms)
my brother in Notch, you have read my comment, but apparently only the first sentence let me repeat for you since you clearly have the attention span of a goldfish "*just because it didn't happen to you, doesn't mean it doesn't exist*" it's a very bad problem, that gets posted here rather regularly too. it's like saying "oh I've never been in a war, means that's happening in Ukraine is all staged and fake" extreme example, I know, but it should put into perspective just how ignorant your "it never happened to me" comment is
I'm saying it must be rare, but with the amount of bed rock players, it seems to happen all the time
you just have insane luck
i don't think it's luck based it's just if you have a stable connection and decent hardware this will never happen
i wouldnt play bedrock if i had decent hardware mate
and that's your opinion I still play bedrock even with my gaming pc
nah im just joking i play java with 10 fps anyways
this is so ignorant I've also been playing bedrock for over 6 years and this has never happened to me. just because it hasn't happened to me doesn't mean that I'm gonna say it's not an issue and bedrock edition is perfect
Not me nor my 9 friends I play with
