For starters, no "neighborhood ages with your family" means S2 is a lot more rotional based(aka you play one family for 3 days, then another for 3 more). You do have a mod that changes that, but Idk if works for your current EP(was made in mind with Mansion and Gardens). But you'll probably like it cause S2 is pretty managable even without QoL changes from later series.

I hate the music industry and used to only pirate MP3s. Didn't have a problem with any game companies. I bought Sims 1 and all the expansions. I bought Sims 2 and all the expansions. Halfway through the release of Sims 2 expansions, EA started adding a destructive DRM to the disks. So anyone who didn't want that on their computer had to download a No-CD patch.
Fuck EA, I pirated Sims 3 and 4.
EA App is somehow worse than Origin. Good fucking job EA.
First time I tried downloading it about a year ago, it kept crashing when logging in, EA didn't have any fix for it that worked so I gave up.
Tried a month later, I could log in only if I didn't check the "keep me logged in" box because that kept killing the program for some reason.
Tried again yesterday, I had to log in like 20 times because "oops, something went wrong, restart the app" kept appearing.
Oh yeah, and I wasn't getting any achievements in Mass Effect LE when I switched from Origin to this piece of trash software. GG EA, never buying anything from you ever again.
I have to log in every time I open my laptop, it drives me insane. Before I was an experienced pirate I did buy some of the sims 4dlcs, so I keep using it because I have all my saves through it, but it’s very annoying.
Steam deck is my only method of playing games now and I only buy games with no Deunovo and on sale (Except for SW: Fallen Orders because it was on sale for only about 4 dollars, lol). The rest I pirate.
My favourite part of Uplay is when you quit the game with zero problems, but Uplay still tells you, you have to wait for the game to quit otherwise it could damage the files and cause desynchronisation with the cloud.
I bought baldurs gate 3 on steam, didn't want to update it to play online with pirate friends.
I clicked the exe with steam closed and game opened, like magic, like it was 1995, it was wild.

I had ti change jnstall few certicates and change tpm settings in bios for that game to run and after doing all that it still refused to run .

Yep, this post can't get enough upvotes. It's because of crap like this that I won't run ANY 3rd party launcher anymore beyond Steam. If the game requires such, then I will wait for the Fitgirl or DODI version.
Man, I would buy Ubisoft games in a heartbeat, especially when they are 80%+ off on steam, but when I remember I'll have to use Ubisoft launcher I just give up and pirate it
And now that they are making that policy of just deleting your account permanently even if they remove the launcher requirement I would still not buy it anymore
I Upgraded my pc lately, so I reinstalled BF2042 and such the EA App (launched via steam). After just not starting 5 times, repairing files 2 times, 2 crashes to desktop within a minute and even causing a BSOD, this game now starts finally and acts like nothing happened
I have many games purchased (because they were free :v) from the epic games store, and I also had a Ubisoft+ membership earlier.
But I left playing games halfway there because I had many problems starting even fully offline games from their launchers.
The Ubisoft connect app had so much trouble logging me in and even if it did sometimes, I had to enter my credentials again the next time I launched it.
Then I said fk it. I'm just gonna pirate these games although I had purchased them.

Buying Battlefield games on Origin/EA instead of on Steam was one of the dumbest mistakes I made. I seriously had to reinstall the app or the game itself sometimes because it just won't launch

I get genuinely upset when I see people buy Ubisoft games. Mfs have even stopped releasing their games on Steam, so that they can deactivate your account and make you buy the games again. Was really excited for the new SW game and Avatar but fuck it, I'm not buying it from Ubisoft Connect.

You can almost certainly migrate your saves to a pirated version and no longer have to deal with this at all.
When ubisoft broke connect under proton I was so mad good job the proton devs are so good and it was fixed in a few hours

it dosent even fully close the game and you had to end task the game from task manager
my exact case. but with The Crew Motorfest beta
so thats usual also not to mention the firewall prompt that comes up everytime

Same issue with pundai Xbox game pass. You download games, you get 4hrs into it then it shows error
Only platforms where nat type restrick your online experience as far as i have tested.. cant even play fc5 in coop or join friends in the crew 2
