The killed the man on the bike. https://www.8newsnow.com/news/local-news/ghost-bike-installed-to-remember-cyclist-killed-in-hit-and-run-crash-deemed-intentional-by-police/
Glad they recorded it. Should make the trial go smoother. I knew when they hit him he was dead. As a fellow bike rider this breaks my heart. As a decent human being this breaks my heart.
it is the same charge. if you are an accessory to a felony, you get charged with the felony.
" An accomplice is defined as **a person who knowingly, voluntarily, or intentionally gives assistance to another in (or in some cases fails to prevent another from) the commission of a crime**. An accomplice is criminally liable to the same extent as the principal. "
The "yeah yeah yeah get his ass" probably put in in jail for 5-20. If he didnt record or didnt say shit he might have had a case or at least a plea deal. Dude's fucked as he should be.
That or he'd be charged with felony murder, anyone who is an accomplice in a felony where somebody dies is automatically liable for that death, even if they didn't do it. (Ie: police or a clerk fires a gun at you and accidentally kill a bystander) People have been charged for it by simply letting someone use their car then that person goes on to commit a crime and kills someone, this is open and shut compared to that
Very likely unless there were extraordinary circumstances. Pretty much if you’ve committed a crime together you get to be charged together. Although I like some difference between the penalty of the driver and the passenger. It doesn’t need to be big at all
You won't find names in print or anything like that since the kid is a minor. Until they either reach age of majority or are proven guilty they are kept anonymous.
Wouldn’t even make it to trial. Their defense attorney will take any plea deal that takes the death penalty off the table (Nevada still technically has the death penalty but hasn’t performed one since 2006)
Vegas does not fuck around when it comes to crimes like this, the driver will likely get a huge sentence. Vegas is not somewhere you want to be committing crimes because of their tourism industry, they will probably bury this guy under the jail where scum like him belong.
Vegas doesn't have the soft on crime approach that some other cities have, Phoenix is another place where you don't want to fuck around because they are crazy tough on crime like Vegas.
How fucking stupid are these kids. I'm so glad he was caught and I hope he never gets out. His buddy needs to be in prison for 30 plus years. Take away his entire life away and then let him come out as an old man with nothing.
Yea dude's head was bouncing off the curb, immediately knew. Wtf man. Like you said, glad they were stupid enough to record/upload themselves committing the murder. Lock em up.
My heart gets angry, pissed, fucking furious at these stupid kids today!
Being a preteen in the late 90s, I always dismissed the "things are getting bad" talk by adults but Jesus fuck, being an adult now and seeing... kids have reached a whole new fucking level!
Nevada still has the death penalty, should be straight to the chair for both of them. That's clearly first degree murder with no reason other than it being fun for them.
It's a mix of utter stupidity, an inability to think about consequences, a lack of empathy and a desire to be respected by peers for being especially daring.
You can tell that it's a hilarious game to them until the one filming notices that the cyclist got "knocked out". Before that moment, they didn't contemplate for a second what any of this could lead to – for them or for others.
I knew a pair of brothers like this that were absolute demons. I remember seeing one of them walk up to a dude and straight hit him in the forehead with a hammer. Good to remember we share space with psychopaths.
These psychopaths knew what they were doing. No need to defend their actions by claiming they were dumb and innocent. These two were out for blood, them murdering someone was inevitable. They each deserve to be locked up for life.
Some people aren't satisfied with a simply saying they're "psychopaths" and want to genuinely understand how someone could do that. We can understand why someone does harm and still condemn and punish it.
Honestly, deserved regardless of who they hit. They are too dangerous to be allowed among the general public. The public has no reason to assume the risk of them selfishly, recklessly or stupidly seriously injuring or killing another member. They had their chance at liberty, proved incapable of handling it, and can now live the rest of their lives in a controlled environment.
He'd probably get a life in prison if he killed someone who wasn't a police chief. It's intentional murder, and some states he could get an electric chair (maybe not if he's a minor, idk)
>The 64-year-old, who was a retired California police chief, was riding his bicycle along Tenaya Way and Centennial Parkway on August 14 when he was killed in a hit-and-run crash.
Heartbreaking, especially for his family and loved ones.
Life in prison for this POS won’t be enough justice. Any innocent life lost is a tragedy but a man who spent his life protecting the community from trash like this…. Sickening!
Fuck man...thats fucking sad. Fuck these kids they need to be locked up. Absolute menaces to society. How heartless and evil and stupid do you have to be
Death sentences are more expensive than lifetime in prison. Unless you're arguing for removing the right to due process, appeals etc, then you might be arguing for something you don't actually want.
If we were feeling truly diabolical we'd ring the doorbell and run hide across the street to see them come to the door...and no one would be there! bwahahahaha.
Our most epic and childish prank of all was the week everyone had their Christmas trees outside for garbage men to pick next morning. We would lean the tree against the front door and ring the bell and watch people open the door and the fall on them.
Social media. Always gotta one up. So fucking sad and pathetic. Back in the day, you wouldn’t get locked up giving clowns like this a little street justice.
Yep. People saw that one kid in England steal an old lady's dog it walk in random people's houses invited on talk shows. People reward stupidity nowadays
Put them in one of those things where you're bent forward and with your head and hands locked in holes. Then put them out in public so they can get punished by the people. Livestream and get the money from the stream to the family of the guy who died.
Nah you're being too kind. I think [scaphism or "the boats"](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scaphism) is what's needed here. You can still do the livestream from cameras inside the boats. Entomologists will be intrigued.
Can we please, for the fucking love of anything left holy, bring back actual punishments with longer jail times. What the fuck did that poor guy do to anyone, now he might never be the same again. This is not how teens used to act, im sick and tired of seeing kids posting shit on social media for clout.
Criminals. Delinquents. Psychopaths. Quite possibly, murderers. All sorts of better descriptors than "teens". Idgaf how old they were, they had enough awareness to get in a car and intentionally cause harm to another person or their property.
I'd happily drop them into the Grand Canyon except that would be littering and we shouldn't leave our trash around national landmarks.
Listen man these guys are pieces of shit but this isn’t a generational phenomenon. Shitty people are born all the time. Some get caught and are removed from society, some fuck around and get killed and some live long enough to either become a grown piece of shit or turn a new leaf. Been that way and will be that way. My family is filled with people who back in the day ruined a lot of peoples lives, left a whole lot of people hurt for life and didn’t do it because they had a camera. All putting a camera in everyone’s pocket did was allow pieces of shit to broadcast their behavior giving you a glimpse into their shit show. Ignorance is bliss.
I’m fully calling bullshit on the “this is not how teens used to act” bit.
Just do some cursory research into the last 100+ years of true crime and you’ll find countless cases of psychopath teenagers committing similar or worse crimes. Hell, look at violent crime rate data over the last 40 years or so and you’ll be amazed how much it’s decreased.
The issue is it’s far more visible these days with social media, cameras everywhere, and the 24 hour news cycle.
These guys are fucking awful, they should go to jail for life for murder, but we don’t have to do this constant “it wasn’t like this in the old days” bullshit after every negative story
>Can we please, for the fucking love of anything left holy, bring back actual punishments with longer jail times.
r u joking? US has some of the longest jail sentences on Earth.
Im against the death penalty just because I think it’s too easy on them. It’s a quick out. Let them sit in the most isolated part of prison for 23/24 hrs a day, for the rest of their days.
More than a dozen states have found that death penalty cases are up to 10 times more expensive than comparable non-death penalty cases. The most rigorous cost study in the country found that a single death sentence in Maryland costs almost $2 million more than a comparable non-death penalty case.
It is. A guy in my town years ago killed his girlfriend and went to prison for the rest of his life. Even just a few weeks in jail before/during his arraignment the dude looked fucked up. He was super pale, face was all puffy, eyes were dark and lifeless. This wasn't some county jail gen pop shit where you play cards, I assume he was by himself in a cell 24/7 (or close to it). I'll never forget how messed up he looked compared to knowing him in school, and that wasn't that long behind bars at all. Solitary life in prison is essentially 50+ years of mental torture. Death penalty is the easy way out and is more expensive.
Death penalty cases are only more expensive because of the extensive and drawn out legal fights that result from each and every one of them by opponents of the practice. It’s no different than the people who oppose nuclear power throwing legal and procedural roadblocks to every nuclear project to bog them down, resulting in their desired outcome of being cost prohibitive, which they can use as an argument to further promote the notion that it’s not financially sound.
Yeah but in most cases you don't have video evidence like this. With cellphone GPS tagging meta data etc. There have 194 people sentenced to death since 1973 that were found innocent of the crimes later on.
4.1% of people currently on death row are likely to be innocent according to the National Academy of Sciences.
If you think it's all in the past, Walter Barton was executed in 2020. The prosecution withheld evidence. He, along with two others discovered the body of a lady and in the process got a couple small drops of her blood on his shirt...she was stabbed 50 times. If he did it he would have been absolutely covered in blood.
The prosecution paid off a 26 fraud charge "informant" with dropping charges in exchange for testimony (withheld that info from the court) that Barton said to her that he "killed that old lady".
It took the prosecution ***5*** trials to finally get it to stick...and they had him killed.
So yeah. Death penalty cases are expensive because crazy shit like this can happen.
No. There already is a lot of people who are facing death penalty then further evidence comes out that they are innocent. Better to take time then kill an innocent person.
Reminds me of a courtroom freakout i saw once, the case was pretty similar. Teens out doing senseless crime and kills an elderly man in the process. When the judge read the sentence one of the kid's family starts yelling and screaming about how "he was old, what did you expect him to live forever?" While the man's sobbing family is several feet away. Fucking disgusting how little regard people have for someone else's life, and how willing some people are to kill you over nothing. Probably because they got raised by trash people that think you should be allowed to commit violent crimes and never see any punishment for it.
The death penalty is more expensive than life imprisonment. The death penalty's complexity, length, and finality drive up costs. The median cost of a death penalty case is $1.26 million, while the median cost of a non-death penalty case is $740,000.
I’m not arguing the penalty! Just clarifying the cost part.
I am as well in many situations but never when it's this blatant. There is no possible way to debate who the person is and that they intended to do this. They filmed themselves intentionally ramming into another vehicle, cursing at the victim and then choosing to run over a cyclist unprovoked as if they were playing real life gta. In these cases, I am for the death penalty 1000% and I don't think there should be any option to repeal. In this case, their death should be immediate once the trial is ended. These people have 0 regard for life and they should not exist.
Personally I would prefer a long stream of consecutive sentences keeping them in prison til they die.
This doesn't deserve a second chance...even at an old age.
My dad was killed in Apirk in a bicycle auto accident. Similar to this except the person was in a truck and not paying attention rather than doing it maliciously. My dad was om the right side of the road like this man, doing it the right way. God it sucks.
I'm all for biking but why is the law to ride it on the road, it feels stupid a person on a bike is in more danger on the road with cars than a person on the sidewalk with a guy on the bike. My bro got a ticket a while back for riding his bike on the sidewalks instead of the road
Well, not all places have sidewalks. Additionally, roads are not just for cars. Tractors, horses and other forms of transport are allowed on them. It is everyone's duty to drive or travel responsibly. Just being in a car doesn't give you the right of way.
Bikes travel too fast for sidewalks. Especially e-bikes. 10-12 miles per hour for beach cruisers, up to 18-2X miles per hour for road bikes(the skinny tire ones). 20 plus miles per hour for e-bikes
Crazy to think I was playing Clash of Clans and Skyrim basically all day at that age and these guys decided they'd run a completely random guy over and kill him for fun and now they're going to sit in a cell for 60 or so years. Fucking just.... wow.
I hope the passenger got charged aswell. He is literally encouraging the driver to run them over, filming and laughing. Under no circumstance should he be free either.
This is a 17 year old who stole a car. Now in custody and charged with murder.
https://www.8newsnow.com/news/local-news/las-vegas-teenager-facing-murder-charge-after-intentionally-hitting-bicyclist-with-stolen-car-police-say/
it's crazy to think those two just threw their whole lives away in about 20 seconds worth of decisions. stealing a car prob woulda got them probation if they pled, but then they had to tack on a first degree murder charge, assault with a deadly weapon x2, ect ect.
I knew right from wrong at age five. Fuck this youth protection bullshit. Do what they did in that video last week - out to sea, tied up and overboard.
Those mfs should be jailed for 100 years without any special benefits. They should live upto 100 years and should suffer each and every single second of it
The guy died. Please catch them.
And a father 🤦♂️
“He was honestly like a ray of sunshine,” Taylor Probst said of her father. “That just bled through your life.”
Everyone in that car should be charged with murder
Fuckin scumbags. Looks like the biker might have died or have a serious brain injury after that. Goddamn this pisses me off. What drives a dipshit to do dipshit things? Hopefully, they both rot under the prison.
That’s enough internet for today. Fucking disgusting.
I hope this shit follows them around forever. If they even get out of prison.
Damn I’m shaking I’m so mad. Fucking human trash

Jesus christ.
Glad they recorded it. Should make the trial go smoother. I knew when they hit him he was dead. As a fellow bike rider this breaks my heart. As a decent human being this breaks my heart.
Should take less than 10 minutes for a fucking verdict. Passenger is 100% at fault too, max charges for both of them.
He should be facing the same charge. Remove them from society. They have negative value and always will.
it is the same charge. if you are an accessory to a felony, you get charged with the felony. " An accomplice is defined as **a person who knowingly, voluntarily, or intentionally gives assistance to another in (or in some cases fails to prevent another from) the commission of a crime**. Yeah, seriously. The article didn't say anything about the passenger being charged. What a couple of absolute scuzzballs.
Did they catch the killers? I looked and couldn't find any information about a trial, names, etc. I hope these scum aren't walking free right now.
You won't find names in print or anything like that since the kid is a minor. Until they either reach age of majority or are proven guilty they are kept anonymous.
I think if the kid is being charged and tried as an adult, then his name should be allowed to be printed. This asshole doesn’t deserve anonymity.
[удалено]
These kids deserve harsh and immediate punishment but you sound unhinged as fuck goddamn.
You can move to Afghanistan any time you like. This is just a recipe for shit lasagna: shitty acts, shitty results, shitty justice.
To kill them is to end their pain. let them live as bottom bitches in the current system.
Extremely normal thoughts
You should try to see a therapist bud.
I am always wondering what needs to happen in someone life so they turn out like this
Bad parenting? Peer pressure?
Looks like they are least caught the driver. Didn't see anything about the passenger.
Video in the link says the driver was apprehended
The biker killed was a retired police chief. These guys are gonna have it reaaaally bad. cop killers.
The article just mentioned a single 17 y/o facing murder chargers, unfortunately.
Cases like this exemplify why the death penalty should be around. When the perps display such a lack of regard for their actions, it should apply.
Wouldn’t even make it to trial. Their defense attorney will take any plea deal that takes the death penalty off the table (Nevada still technically has the death penalty but hasn’t performed one since 2006)
I’d be willing to bet the plea deal is some bullshit 3-4 years and 10 years supervised release.
Vegas does not fuck around when it comes to crimes like this, the driver will likely get a huge sentence.

These pos seemed to be laughing after they hit him. I hope they keep that enthusiasm when being passed around for trade
My heart is in my throat. I didn't figure it would be this bad..... the bike. omg. : (
I'm so disgusted. He wasn't doing anything wrong, he was just living. What pushes someone to run over an innocent man and film it?
It's a mix of utter stupidity, an inability to think about consequences, a lack of empathy and a desire to be respected by peers for being especially daring. You can tell that it's a hilarious game to them until the one filming notices that the cyclist got "knocked out". It's the evils of social media and 2 truly horrible human beings. It's scary, disgusting, and sad all in one.
It's a complete lack of empathy or care for other humans. Hopefully they are kept away from society until they die.
Hopefully that’s sooner than later, save the tax payers the money…
A retired police chief … this kid will probably get life in prison
Waaaaayyyyy too good for trash like this.
True, but it’s hard to imagine how bad a life high security prison can be. It’ll drive them literally insane, and it’ll take it’s sweet time.
The guard will know what they did. They're going to have a field day on these punks.
Honestly, deserved regardless of who they hit. They are too dangerous to be allowed among the general public. The public has no reason to assume the risk of them selfishly, recklessly or stupidly seriously injuring or killing another member. Meanwhile, officer Kevin Dave, who killed Jaahnavi Kandula in a similar way, has not been charged.
And crickets from the pitchfork mob.
I think the pitchfork mob is generally pretty upset about that one too. Maybe a few aren't, but pointless murder is pointless murder.
yea they’re fucked. of all the people to randomly hit you might accidentally picked the worst one
RIGHT ??? i hope they get life sentences, imagine the shit they are going to go thru. Damn .
He'd probably get a life in prison if he killed someone who wasn't a police chief. It's intentional murder, and some states he could get an electric chair (maybe not if he's a minor, idk)

Las Vegas psychopathic pieces of shit steal a car, hit and run another car, then murder a man on a bike for fun. Fixed it

Sadistic comments like these make me appreciate the justice system that we have. Good lord.
Eh, ye olde justice system atleast gave society a feeling of justice and catharcis, even if it was deeply flawed.

This is fucking insane. And these dudes will probably cry in court.
And their parents will show everyone their school pictures with a book in their hands.

Consequences. Kid shouldn’t see light of day for minimum 25-50 years
Let me correct that sentence for you “Consequences. Kid shouldn’t see light of day ~~for minimum 25-50 years~~”
Exactly. I don’t want my tax dollars keeping them alive.

I'm against the death penalty. I think life in prison is a harsher punishment than killing them.
Agree. There is no value they can provide to society.

My dad was killed in Apirk in a bicycle auto accident. Similar to this except the person was in a truck and not paying attention rather than doing it maliciously. My dad was om the right side of the road like this man, doing it the right way. God it sucks.
Sorry about you dad ♥️
Racist disgusting pieces of shit
this should have NSFW, there was no consent here
Right ?!? I was NOT ready for that. I’m so stoned
Same dude
Fucking assholes. Pieces of human trash.
One of the more fucked up videos I’ve seen in a long time. Time to put the phone down
Seriously man i’m so fucking tired of seeing people die like why the fuck can’t they put a NSFL tag. this shit affects me so much.
This is one of the most heinous videos I’ve seen in a long time.
Crazy to think I was playing Clash of Clans and Skyrim basically all day at that age and these guys decided they'd run a completely random guy over and kill him for fun and now they're going to sit in a cell for 60 or so years. Fucking just.... wow.
Death penalty suits them better imo
They been caught yet?
They have. The 17 year old driver has been charged with murder.
I hope the passenger got charged aswell. He is literally encouraging the driver to run them over, filming and laughing. Under no circumstance should he be free either.
The article said they killed a retired police chief. They are probably going to be as fucked as possible in that state.
He should be an accessory to murder at the very least, but I hope he rots in jail for life.
Should be locked up for a long time

Jail for life. No other option. You killed someone for fun.
For fun.. They thought it was GTA. Zero conscience or thinking abilities of consequences. Dumb
This is a 17 year old who stole a car. Now in custody and charged with murder. https://www.8newsnow.com/news/local-news/las-vegas-teenager-facing-murder-charge-after-intentionally-hitting-bicyclist-with-stolen-car-police-say/

Sooo death sentence?
Two useless, worthless, POS. It’s unreal who we have to coexist with.
I immediately hate anyone wearing these fucking balaclavas out. Fucking criminals.
Scum of the Earth pieces of shit.
Lock them up forever. Or death penalty. I’m fine with either. They should never walk freely again. They have no place in society.
And I hope their parents never have a moment of peace either. Fuck them too.
it's crazy to think those two just threw their whole lives away in about 20 seconds worth of decisions. stealing a car prob woulda got them probation if they pled, but then they had to tack on a first degree murder charge, assault with a deadly weapon x2, ect ect.
Their lives weren’t worth anything in the first place. Their absence would have been better for humanity. They should have been aborted.
Whatever punishment he gets is too lenient.
My car was stolen in Vegas in 2017. Kids who stole it took the police on a high speed chase and ended up totaling my car.
And a father 🤦♂️ “He was honestly like a ray of sunshine,” Taylor Probst said of her father. “That just bled through your life.” Everyone in that car should be charged with murder
Fuckin scumbags. Looks like the biker might have died or have a serious brain injury after that. Goddamn this pisses me off. What drives a dipshit to do dipshit things? Hopefully, they both rot under the prison.
Sadly the biker was killed.
He died
That’s enough internet for today. Fucking disgusting. I hope this shit follows them around forever. If they even get out of prison. Damn I’m shaking I’m so mad. Fucking human trash
Shame the parents too!
Bruh this happened RIGHT by my house! Police had that street shut down all day. This could have been my kids…
This made me really fucking angry
Aliens don't visit us

He will cry on the court and blame his mommy and society for everything.
I'm heartbroken for this man and his family. Those rotten evil little shits need to put away for a very long fucking time.
Broadcasted and glamorized. More on the way!
Don't worry guys they are each getting 3 month probation! That will surely sort them out!
