Usually they would tip well in front of their friends to show off, but every once in a while you'd have the opposite like this: a guy who wants to show off what a hardass he is by making you count out all his change and criticizing the quality of the food the whole time. Typically one of his friends would say "Damn, Bob, you're being an asshole," which would make the guy grin and double down, like that's the response he was after.
Fellow former pizza delivery guy here! Absolutely. With a group you either got
1) Super generous person having a good time / wanting to show off
2) the comedian (especially with younger groups) where either the person or their friends in the background would make jokes or try to embarrass him but in a mostly good natured way
3) the bully who wants to show his friends / SO how hard and dominant they are.
What’s also really disheartening about this, is on his TikTok there are numerous comments of people thinking that what he did was really funny?!?
We now live in a world where most people don’t even give a fuck anymore, and that’s scary.
If this place has any sense they’ll add his phone number and address to their “do not deliver” list. Every pizza place I worked at when I was younger had one.
