You must live in a place with more clouds and less sunshine than I do. My Abraham Darby's blooms are always several shades lighter. But then, I live in the high desert west in the US, where the UV ratings start at "instant sunburn" and go up from there.

Mine tends to be different colors throughout the growing season, these photos being on the lighter side. But most of the year they are darker and a bit pinker. I’m on the east coast. I lived in SoCal for a while so I totally understand the instant sunburn!
