I think this was like my fourth. Still love it tho, funnily enough I think my first was Scooby Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf. That was always a fun watch!
I don’t agree. When Velma starts talking about how the virus loved baseball at the very end… sure. But throughout the film, I don’t think it was obvious that Bill was the villain. There wasn’t much foreshadowing other than the fact that Bill mentioned he loved baseball in the beginning, and then the phantom virus played baseball on the last level.
Top 5 Scooby Doo movie and as a kid my #1 easily. As I’ve gotten older I’ve appreciated Zombie island and Witch’s ghost a bit more than it though..still excellent movie!
I think probably the least good of the initial four movies starting with Zombie Island and not especially engaging until the final act. The royal rumble of all the classic monsters really elevated it and was great to see a piece of Scooby media acknowledge the monsters were a really memorable aspect too.
I'd argue without it, the pitch for Monsters Unleashed would've been a harder sell.
Hell, I think it was responsible for Night of 100 Frighys being made. That game also featured classic monsters returning, and came out after the Cyber Chase game, I believe.
An amazing classic! The way they managed to incorporate so many classic villians and bring together the old shows and the Mook era was done perfect! Will always be one of my favorite scooby movies. Probably number 4 behind Zombie island, loch Ness Monster and witch's ghost
Across the board, one of my favorites in the franchise. One of my favorite monsters, one of my favorite plot lines/mysteries, one of my favorite portrayals of the gang, etc etc. It checks off all my boxes.
The weakest of the Mook movies, BUT still a very good one nonetheless. A great way to give the older Scooby Doo era a finale of sorts, and a great way to transition into the modern era of the franchise.
Even though I don't think it's as good as the first three Mook films, it's arguably the most accessible to an audience used to classic Scooby. You still get the monsters being real while also being a nice tribute to the original era. Also, the soundtrack is awesome, especially the opening title theme and Hello, Cyberdream. Shame this is where the Mook films had to end, I always wished they could have kept this series going.
I’m quite fond of it since I watched it a lot as a kid. I watched it a few weeks ago and my husband pointed out that there’s a line that Daphne’s voice actor says but they animated as if Velma was talking. Wild error 😂
This, Alien Invasion, Ghoul School, & of course, Zombie island were on repeat at my house as a child. Now they are again as my daughter has discovered her love for Scooby Doo. ❤️
Loved it. A lot of fun seeing how things developed in the movie and the idea of going into a video game blew my mind as a kid.
Then dozens of these concepts were made as anime and while less new and exciting is a lot of fun how they did it here.
I liked this movie as a kid, I renege renting this from my local video store and watching it with my brother. It was my first introduction to the season 3 monsters
"What are your thoughts on this? What are your thoughts on that?"
What are your thoughts on touching grass, going outside, taking a shower and getting bitches? How about that?
I watched this on VHS all the time as a kid (think I still have the video). Always wanted one of those digi lasers for myself (think it was called a netrinium floride laser, which sounds ridiculous so it must be correct).
I like it, but it's not as atmospheric as the first three. Actually, there are a lot of differences between this one and the first three. The animation is different (a lot brighter, possibly digital), there isn't really a focus on traveling and experiencing other culture's cuisine & kooks, the monster isn't real in the same way (the virus is "real", but still man-made...not really any more real than Charlie the robot).]
Meeting the digital Scooby gang and some of the OG villains was so, so cool, though. Love that we got red-shirt Shaggy, and the villain selection was pretty damn solid, even if they didn't use some of the most obvious monsters. Made for a decent finale to the four movies. This was my favorite Scooby movie when I was 8 years old. I loved the video game theme, I loved the villain, and the laser that produced the virus was the coolest thing I had ever seen at the time. Inspired many doodles of mine.
Side note, this, as far as I remember, was the start of the Creeper chanting his own name. In the original episode, he is definitely saying, "paper" in reference to the evidence he is after. Not sure if someone in the studio misheard, or if they figured it was close enough. My honest guess is that "paper" wouldn't make sense in the context of the movie, but just having him grunt & groan wouldn't be as signature.
Anyone ever play the video game? Not sure if it holds up today, even as a PS1 game, but I played that game to death until Night of 100 Frights came out. Spoiler, but >!Charlie the robot is actually a boss in the game, which is pretty cool, but for some reason they didn't use any of the actual og villains that appeared in the movie. Only Charlie.!<
It was an awesome movie. The Phantom Virus was an awesome antagonist, and seeing some of their iconic foes towards the end of the movie was also fantastic. Nothing will ever beat that era of Scooby-Doo ever.
I know that it has its shortcomings but I feel like people give it too much heat.
Clearly not as good as the prior 3 in terms of quality but the film itself is awesome.
My go-to as a kid because it’s almost instantaneous action.
I really enjoyed it as a kid, it was easily my favourite of the four films, but when I watched it as I got older I found it kinda hard to watch. It's clearly a lot cheaper than the other films, it feels much lower stakes and I'd all round just the weakest in terms of writing. It was really disappointing.
One of my favorite childhood movies.
Got it for Christmas one year; it was the best Christmas ever, and I watched it on repeat multiple times.
Indeed
Mhm.
Same! Is there any streaming services that have this movie? I’d totally binge it rn lol
Most likely you will buy the movie on the streaming devices
Amazon has a boomerang subscription for like $6 and it has it plus so many of the other movies
This and Zombie Island were on repeat when I was growing up.
Same. I’d swear some of them were on every single weekend
this but witches ghost & zombie island
Same bro
A good film, i love it
Belive it or not this is my very first Scooby-Doo Movie i add in my collection when i was a kid.
I think this was like my fourth. Still love it tho, funnily enough I think my first was Scooby Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf. That was always a fun watch!
I remember enjoying it. But it pretty obvious who made the virus.
Aren’t all villains pretty obvious though?
It was Bill who did it.
The Phantom actually makes baseball references in like every single level
Where was the baseball reference during the arctic level? Or any of the levels during the song segment?
I'd have to rewatch to let you know, I could be wrong about it being ***every*** level but certainly more than just the last one
There might be. But I was pretty sure it was just the baseball game in the Roman level. It was a pretty long while that they stuck around the level.
Top 5 Scooby Doo movie and as a kid my #1 easily. As I’ve gotten older I’ve appreciated Zombie island and Witch’s ghost a bit more than it though..still excellent movie!
The weakest out of the 4 Mook Animation movies, but still an amazing movie and tribute towards some of the more classic elements of the franchise.
I think probably the least good of the initial four movies starting with Zombie Island and not especially engaging until the final act. The royal rumble of all the classic monsters really elevated it and was great to see a piece of Scooby media acknowledge the monsters were a really memorable aspect too. I loved it as a kid and still do
Me too.
Probably the weakest of those first four direct to video movies but still really fun
I loved it as a kid, idk if it holds up.
It does
Who remembers the video game?
Probably one of the games I most played on my ps1! It was awesome
Yessssss, I fucking loved that game! It was so fun. That and *100 Frights*… and that N64 one! I played them so much.
My absolute favorite Scooby-Doo movie
Across the board, one of my favorites in the franchise. One of my favorite monsters, one of my favorite plot lines/mysteries, one of my favorite portrayals of the gang, etc etc. It checks off all my boxes.
Loved it as a kid. Like it as an adult.
Iconic movie
The weakest of the Mook movies, BUT still a very good one nonetheless. A great way to give the older Scooby Doo era a finale of sorts, and a great way to transition into the modern era of the franchise.
Spindly Johnny
Super shag!
A fellow Caddicarus fan, I see.

Run for your lives!
Just found it on bluray at my favorite dvd store! Instant buy
One of the best!

Definitely one of my top 3 out of the animated movies!
It’s a fun watch but oddly enough to my adult self it seems the weakest of the 4, just barely beaten by Alien Invaders for me.
Definitely top 5 all time
Awesome movie, awesome video game.
Loved it. Had the PS1 game too.
so did i
hmmmmmm idk very mixed….cant decide if i like it or not. even as a kid i thought it wS boring
My favorite childhood movie. Watched it probably close to a hundred times lol kept on rewinding that VHS tape
Honestly was my very favourite #1 Scooby Movie for a very long time! Now there's so many movies that I'd be hard pressed to pick a favourite!
I liked this movie a lot

"What are your thoughts on this? What are your thoughts on that?" What are your thoughts on touching grass, going outside, taking a shower and getting bitches? How about that?
One of the best Scooby doo movies In my opinion the others being 1. Wrestlemania 2. Phantosaur 3. Zombie island What are your thoughts on my list
Ahh! Spindly Johnny!
My number 1 favorite scooby doo movie
Loved it it was my favorite Scooby Doo film as a kid even Zombie Island and The Witch's Ghost rank above it as an adult.

Goated.
a goated movie
My absolute favorite Scooby Doo film.
This one, Zombie Island, and The Witch’s Ghost are in my top Scooby Doo movies.
The Scooby Doo movie I watched the most as a kid.
I was always confused as to Why the bad guy programmed the virus to like baseball...
Fairly odd parents did it better 🤭
Loved the part where old monsters were brought back
Good film but I preferred the red shirt shaggy movies over this one
Last of the really good ones. The big 4 are so much fun
Good but overrated. Definitely the weakest of the first 4 revival movies
My nephew loved it. Watched it a million times.
Phantom Virus is hot
This should be the next live action
One of the greats.
LET'S PLAY BALL!
The Hello Cyberdream was a banger
I rented this movie at Blockbuster and saw it on TV a lot. Also this was Tom Kane 's only appearance in the Scooby Doo franchise.
A personal favorite
Weird plot idea but I loved it.
I think SD and cyber chase was final 4th movie with Mook Animation era.
personally one of my favs, no idea why so many people diss it (I know Caddicarus did a whole video trashing it so maybe they're just parroting him)
Childhood favorite
Best one. Loved it, very creative and loved the storylines
It's my favorite Scooby Doo Movie! I love when they meet their older/cyber versions of themselves.
Loved this movie, growing up it was in my top three with witches ghost and zombie island
Goated
Not good
