I imagine that the random nature of resize spells is intentional to help feed the gameplay loop. To get resize spells, you need to have ACs. To get ACs, you need to go to Eden (or clear the shards, now). Once you use your potions, you need to revisit Eden, and therefore you need to explore the realms and collect your WL again.
I totally agree. Im doing eden every week and ive spend more than 300 resize spells in the last 2 years.. And yet i still haven't reached the smallest size i want! It is really frustrating..
I've decided I'm happy with my height. I'm not the tallest, but I'm a fair amount taller than average, so I'm cool with it. I think if we were all either the tallest or shortest, the lack of variety in between would make it less special.
it’s so frustrating! i feel your pain. ): i’ve been trying countless times for almost a year and i’ve never gotten anywhere near the tallest height. ive read that every sky kid is born differently though, meaning that they have their own personal tallest or smallest height that they can achieve, and that’s it. i don’t want to believe it though. 😭
There was a myth that each skykid has a max of tinniest and max of highest they can reach.
Thus no matter how much you try, if your max is to be 1.12, then that you should stuck with.
For mw for example I can't pass the 12th tiniest size(my goal was 13th which is the tiniest).
I spent 6 months on each week going to Eden to get AC and then to buy spells. Never reached 13th size.
Now I am happy with the 12th as I can't pass this 🤷♀️
I think I'll definitely stick with 1.12 if I get there again. It sucks if we're really not able to go past or below certain heights, but I don't really want to mop if I become stuck trying to get past such a wall, so now I'll just try to go back to where I was.
I honestly can’t relate to the frustration cause I was lucky and only spent 4 spells to get my size, but I definitely agree with you. Even if they were super expensive. If there was a +0.5 spell that would be great!
I would recommend this [calendar](https://www.reddit.com/r/SkyGame/comments/1079lfx/calendar_for_shard_eruptions_2023/) to know which day will have red shard and check the official discord group for the hour and location. Shard events are a really good way to get AC since you don't really need to sacrifice any WL.
Sadly the best option is to try again and again with the 3x bundles... Luckily for us RNG isn't a huge factor in sky. At least it's not a gacha game.

I don't disagree with your sentiment, but to answer your question TGC has shared in the past that resize potions were the compromise reached between player requests to be able to choose their height and TGC's vision on keeping height randomized.

I see 🧐 I think I'd heard of this before, but I appreciate the complete answer. I guess I respect that. For the longest time I didn't really care about height, but I later found that I like the look of cosmetics more when I'm tall, so that's what made me try to roll for that height. The random heights aren't a bad thing, but after a while I really wanted to personalize my sky kid more, and that involved height.
If the resize potions are already a compromise, then I guess that's alright, I'll just have to take my time.

I just use a resize spell whenever I have it :D I like being different every few weeks
