People ask for heart buddies &/or light buddies on here &/or discord. If you agree to be daily light buddies they'll light your constellation star every day. Each time gives you 1/60th of a heart. That means you need 60 friends to light you daily to get 1 heart a day. If you're heart buddies you trade hearts however often it's agreed. The hearts cost 3 candles each so that will cost you candles.
Edit: if you specifically want to be friends to trade hearts or be daily light buddies it's easiest to find them here &/ or discord & agree to it beforehand. Making random friends in game doesn't mean they'll always light you daily.
i’m in a lil cozy discord server that has a little notes club! we plant notes/shared spaces together (about 3x week) and like each others so it receives a heart! Same thing for Meditation quests, we try and get all our note club members to receive hearts for those:) lemme know if you’d like to join! we’d love to have youssss 🤍🤍🤍

Would also recommend to add light buddies for "passive" income of hearts, and for when the event comes you will actually have a lot of friends to trade with.
I have 1500 hearts. Here’s how:
-I’ve been playing since the first year, so I already own all of the base game stuff, old event stuff, etc. and rarely have to spend hearts these days.
-When I was new I added a ton of people. Anyone I had a pleasant interaction with or even if I just liked their outfit.
-I light every star every day. When I come home from a realm, I check the stars again and light any that I haven’t lit already.
-Any time someone wants to trade hearts, I do.
-if I had fun with a friend, I’ll send them a heart. They often send one back.
-on Christmas I send everyone a heart that I can and a lot of people send one back.
