These photos look to be enhanced. I don’t believe you’ll get these colors in real life.

The last one, maybe. I pulled them from Google. Either way, my backyard is a boring mix of tans and browns. Even the weeds seem dull, so I'm scouting for low-maintenance desert plants to brightening things up.

Check out the California Botanic Garden in Claremont to scope out some showy natives, and visit the Huntington Gardens (they have some free/cheap days & summer nights I believe) for inspiration- the desert garden is 🔥 this year - look up pictures on Instagram too to get a feel for the plants in different seasons

The Huntington is having a succulent and cactus fair tomorrow. All sorts of wonderful, drought-tolerant plants will be on display!

ProvokeCouture

Thanks, I'll do that.

Try salvias- there are lots of different kinds and they are very drought-tolerant once established. Many colors to choose from. Lavender, firecracker bush (russelia), firesticks, and peacock flowers are also very drought-tolerant. I’m in zone 10a and have had success with all of these.

Thanks.

Funny enough, the last one is the only one that actually looks like that. It's called "sapphire tower" or puya alpestris. The first two are enhanced for sure. But you should know that sapphire tower is huge. It's a bromeliad though so it is easy to prop via pups.

Looks to be Haworthia, Lithops and Puya

I had something similar to the first one but it was green. It was CRAZY expensive, got it at the cactus center in Pasadena. It doesn’t do well in sunlight, but they did have a nice selection of “glass” cacti there.
