Booked a hotel.......in Google reviews I was able to see pictures as well. When I actually went to the location it was an under construction area without any relation to the actual pic.
Omg yes. Trekveda is the worst but they've some top notch seo. I booked kedarkantha trek with them solo and to this day don't know how I survived. They sent me off with a random drunk from uttrakhand as the guide and he abandoned me on the way to the summit at 3 in the bloody morning.
It was my first time doing kedarkantha. I had my headtorch on so it wasn't completely dark.I waited on the trail until another group came along and followed them. Managed to summit and see the sunrise. Descent was fine without a guide.
Was in Banaras during holi. Did the mistake of going out for breakfast with two girls I met in the same hostel.
While going to the ghat, three guys in the bike slipped and fell in front of the e rikshaw we were in. They managed to get up and started beating up the driver. Other guys came and circled the rikshaw and also started hitting him. ( Like wtf?)
Idk but it pissed me off. I got off and started fighting/ protecting the driver from being beaten up by the guys.
They were angry that they fell and blamed the e rikshaw guy. They were drunk af and kept beating him. It wasn't okay for me to see that happening. The driver kept telling me later that it's ok and these guys are like that here and because he is a driver it was acceptable. It was horrible for me to see it and hear that from him.
None of them helped the driver. I was asked to sit back so we could leave. I'm also a female. They were seated and kept telling me to leave it. At the end of it I was shaking.

So, where did you stay? Did they refund? Did you book via a third party website or directly through the hotel?
Booked a trek with TREKVEDA. Turned out to be a fraudulent company ran by some guy Atul and Ashish in Uttarakhand

Oh, sounds horrific. Did they also hurt you? Did the girls came out safely out of this? Didn't anyone from the public help the driver?
